Given the way magic works, it's probably quite easy to get the spell to become an Aberration. The desire for immortality just needs to be strong enough.

No giving out powerful magic artefacts willy-nilly, it causes trouble.

In your editing tools for the post, there is the "A" symbol. That's how you change the text's colour.

That's a problem with the forum software. You can get around it by selecting the text and changing the colour. Also, double posting is frowned on.

Yeah, the big obviously scary and fanged shadow thing? You know that's a threat to run away from. Scarf dude? You could sit next to him on the train and not know he's a life-stealing monster incapable of empathy.

On what basis? Everything Sirleck knows would be from whatever he got online and from Voltaire impersonating the PI. He could reasonably expect Adrian to be a threat, but not that big a threat.

He's the most hated variety of Aberration, deliberately antagonising an Immortal is not something to be done lightly unless there's a huge reward involved. I'm pretty sure the goal is to steal Magus' body. http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=1128 That's what the comic strongly implies to me anyway.

I don't mind when evil people kill other evil people. One evil person is dead, and we can put the other evil person behind bars for murder. Win win, though with aberrations, it tends to be kill or run on sight, so that imprisoning thing probably isn't viable.
