I seem to have a thing for bands that native language isn't English.  3 of my top 5 bands aren't.  "The Warning", (Spanish) "Shut up and Kiss me" (Romanian), "Sabaton" (Swedish).  Of course "Blue Oyster Cult" and "REO Speedwagen" native language is English.

I have something similar that seems weird even to me. I don't care if I can't understand a word of the lyrics because they're in some language I don't know - as long as I can hear them clearly. But mumbled lyrics, or lyrics drowned out by the music - that song can go straight into the dumpster.

Sabaton and The Warning have some in their native language but all I've seen of "Shut up and Kiss me" has been in English.  Of course they are a cover band.  None of them really mumble but Sabaton is some times hard to hear, but that goes with being power metal.

My current obsession  "Shut Up & Kiss Me!" has 2 female vocalists (one constant and the others rotating).  After they went all acoustic, they quit changing  the gender of the protagonist and who they were singing to or about, which makes most of them sound lesbian.  I approve of this.
