A song that you wouldn't think would work as an acoustical  female duet, yet somehow not only works actually might be better than the original, at least some of the time.

These two bands should do a collaboration on an album. And got to say, they know their audience. Neither of them has English as their first language, but you wouldn't be able to tell that from this

This came up in my YouTube feed today.  It's been a few years since I've heard this.  It's sorta my theme song at times.

I've been taking YouTube's "Mixes" and playing them as background noise. Most of the time it's OK, but "Staying Alive" sung by 2 eastern European women sounds more than a little odd.  It's really the only Shut Up and Kiss Me cover that makes me sorta want to skip.

I would have bet money, granted not a lot, that the "WH40K" version of "Glued my balls to my butthole again" was done by humans.  Would have lost that bet.  I'm forced to assume that all versions of that song are AI.

Some random thoughts about music:
I've been listing to a lot of 20 something Romanian rock and acoustic rock over the last couple of weeks, all with woman singers. They don't change the protagonist gender in the songs, which makes them seem a bit gay. This isn't a big deal. Expectation to this is AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long", where they change to having a woman (or possibly gay man) protagonist. This doesn't work, While substitution of "he" for "she doesn't effect the scan of the song, it doesn't fit thematically and is a bit jarring. "She had the sightless eyes, telling me no lies. Knocking me out with those American thighs" really doesn't work with "he" instead of "she" . Two separate bands do this, granted with the same lead guitar player,

It takes about a week of "hide this from the mix" marking of songs to make YT's "mix" based on a given song to stop playing the songs you don't want to hear.  I like mid 60s and later rock (even if it's an acoustical cover).  I don't like 50/early 60's "rock and roll".  I also don't want stuff from artists that are, in theory, close to the artists I do like.  YT's algorithm can be trained, it just takes almost more work than I feel like doing.

<face palm> . . . I've heard his Hobbit song . . .

It is a good thing for him that he was not depending on his singing career.

For a non pro singer, it's actually not bad.  I've heard worse "modern" country singers.

Maybe I'll have a listen. The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins is, uhm, challenging to watch, but some of that is the style and the visuals, not entirely Leonard  Nimoy.

No weird visual on this.
