I see the plot here. Rather than introducing new professors as cast, Dan is promoting former mentor figures to professorships. Is George next? He has some edjumacation something going on . . .

So, what is Susan's GPA? Should be fairly high, although she does have a job and the review show. And shenanigans. Magic shenanigans.

Has this Susan centric arc just been an excuse to put D-10 in the school?

A smart student, like Susan, who can get B's easily may lack the motivation to chase a 4.0 for its own sake.

Who else could be recruited to teach?

Not saying you're wrong, but I do believe George is wasted playing the role of large, chronologically advanced adolescent.

He's still a university student.  The main cast could have a class with him.

I don't recall that, but it makes sense, although he seems old enough to be a grad student, which would also fit well, he could be a student advisor.

Some people finish later, so he could be older and be a student, but that does not fit his demeanor. He doesn't seem ex-military, for example.

Yep, you're right. It could be anything from continuing ed to the focus of his life, but his single remark about it kind of says it is currently a central issue on his daily schedule. Also, he looks younger in the earlier comics. Maybe he's more in the student range than I thought he was.
