This came up on the EGS Discord server.  How is Hope gonna respond to the fact that Sarah has a werewolf deck?

"How much is that doggie in the window? . . ."

It was also raised there that Pandora saw Sarah's deck during the SP card game from hell arc, so she might not freak out as much as you might think.  Plus we don't know how much the Magikial card werewolves resemble “real world” werewolves.  It might be in name only.

I don't even want to know what that does.

It runs away and distracts canids as it does so.

"I see a full moon arising, I see trouble on the way, . . . Don't play cards tonight, you're bound to loose your game, There's a full moon on the rise" . . .

So, are werewolves distracted by squirrels as are normal dogs?  If so, Sarah's deck might be in trouble.

“Real” werewolves in EGS presumably arose from an attempt to gain physical power by magically fusing the targeted  person with beast attributes. The “being bitten by one spreads it to the victim” part is probably the result of some powerful curse, or else some idiot Mage’s idea of raising an army of werewolves that went bad when they found that unwilling werewolves were uncontrollable in the beast state.

Hopefully, she never has to play against Grace. Pure distraction, and she fights back!

We know it's a curse, we just don't know how it started. I like the "a wizard fucked up" theory you have.

Pandora did claim that she “guided and empowered” werewolf hunters until they were all but extinct, in retaliation for Blaike having been killed by one.

We know, from this summer moment strip, that Grace knows how to play not-MtG and was trained by George, so she might, in fact, be good at it.

Hm... (Note: it's been many years since I've played MtG, so I may not get all of the terminology right.)

Distracting Squirrel. Mana cost, 2 green.

0 damage, 1 health.

Tap (interrupt): 1 spell fails to affect this Squirrel.

Tap (interrupt): tap one other creature. If that creature is in combat, remove it from combat.

2 green: this Squirrel gains +1 health (edit:) until end of turn

I have never played MtG, so I have no idea what you just said.    Seems that under some conditions a spell doesn't work, and that you can remove a monster from combat.
