Agreed. There's no way Tedd's going to do it, and I don't think it'd go well if he did. The kids might be old and smart enough for him to take them seriously, but yeah, I think it'd go over more smoothly if Raven did it. And any negative knee jerk reactions are less likely to get back to Tedd. *looks at Pandora. Backs away slowly* Though, she does seem to care about Tedd. At least a little. Edward might not take it seriously from Will and Gill, but then, they or Lavender would be good choices to introduce the idea into his head. "Are you sure humans are that simple?" and some examples, then leaving him to think about it might be enough to resolve the issue.

I'm not really comfortable with calling Mr. Verres "transphobic." What he's doing is not cool and hurtful, but I'm pretty sure he just doesn't understand what he's seeing. Like Tedd, he probably didn't even realize gender identity, gender fluid, and transexual are things, especially since he probably grew up with fairly rigid gender roles. From his perspective, it probably looks like Tedd is trying to run away from himself, and he's just not handling it very well. Transphobic is a very strong word, and I don't like using it for what may be just ignorance. (On the other hand, I'm of the opinion that actions can be transphobic/racist/sexist separately from the people doing them) Tedd is definitely justified in not wanting to talk to his dad about recent events.

Even with the angle of leaving the kids vulnerable, there are better ways they could have dealt with it. They could have armed the kids and gotten someone else for example, or lead the kids to a government agency to be protected while they hunted the vamp for example.

He might not know to look, and it may not be particularly noticeable when their magic is effectively dormant. Jerry not noticing Susan being part immortal is harder to explain, but if Pandora is involved, she could be masking it. Pandora being involved in something like this seems likely.

I agree. And all we really know about Hedge and Gunias's magic is that they can shapeshift with some difficulty.

I suspect Diane is going to need to get smacked a little to get along with Tedd. Kinda not looking forward to that, cause I think he's still a little fragile. Though it could be funny to watch Diane get death glares from basically everyone.

...ok, them being Pandora's kids would make things more interesting. Feasible if they're both adopted. The item summoning thing would probably come from the other parent. I'd expect some odd magic stuff that we haven't really seen if that was the case. They don't have the pointed ears though, and I think Raven has pronounced canines? Their features would match 1/4 immortal, but although I don't count on it actually being impossible, I don't see it coming.

Agreed in theory. If the answers are chosen randomly the chances of getting any one character should be about equal. In practice some personality types are more common than others.
-
Hmm, do we really need a score for every character on every question? Though if we don't have a score for every character on every question, it could be hard to get enough points for or against for some of the minor characters.

pffthahaha paranoia mode?

This and the next page may be what you are referring to. There's a couple of conversations with Raven that might be it as well... I agree with your conclusions there

I'm thinking that Susan and Diane are Noriko's children via Uryuom Egg, actually. I think we need to bring back the Wild Theories thread. These are all possible of course, but none of these characters look at all asian. I also dislike tying them back in like that thematically. They all have reasons to be there already, it kinda decreases the depth and breadth of the world instead of increasing it by making things spiral more closely around Noriko. As it is, Noriko's family is important and likely a driving force to the story, but not the only thing that's important. I'd much rather see a new character fill the role, or have it turn out to be a minor character. Though I don't think there's any minor characters currently that fit.

Assuming Nioi had any idea what she was talking about, Elliot is definitely the original

The only reason I can see for that not to be the case is that Noah doesn't really look anything like Noriko (or what we think she looks like), which would require another parent. I'm not convinced, but it could work, and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for hints of another of Noriko's children being in Moperville itself.

That's a good point. Much of what Noah was doing could arguably be trained telekinesis, but there were some odd things, like the deepened shadows and the glowy note thing, that can't by as easily explained that way It's possible. My question for that would be who the human parent was (or if we're even sure they're human). If the woman that Susan's dad was cheating on her mother with was Susan's biological mother, than my best guess would be that Susan's mother can't have kids for some reason, so she adopted. The same thing could explain why she has a child from a Uryuom egg. Why do you think Noah is Tedd's half brother?

Didn't she divorce him after the incident were Susan caught him cheating? If Diane got put up for adoption at that point, they should both remember it. Grace's brothers are purely human/animal hybrids right? I'm pretty sure Grace, the Uryuoms, and seyunolu with Uryuom blood can't get other magic, but is there any reason to think that seyunolu without Uryuom blood can't? It's possible for (lesser?) seylunolu without Uryuom blood, that the shapeshifting acts like a spell, and they can awaken and get other spells

It.... really doesn't matter if he's her "real" father or not. He was responsible for her, and had her complete trust, and he betrayed it horribly. It might, however, help her understand what happened and why, which can be a big step to healing.

Fruit starts to get an odd taste as it ferments. If we're talking about potentially beneficial applications of alcohol, my mom uses it as a sedative when she's desperate for sleep. Though that only works for people it actually puts to sleep. It also makes a reasonable emergency antiseptic.
-
well, I would argue that sometimes it's one of those two things, and usually it's somewhere in between or off on some tangent. The thing that annoys me about alcohol is people think I need to go out and get drunk. I already know I can't hold alcohol, I don't like being buzzed, and me getting drunk will probably either result in me falling asleep, or acting like a lunatic. Why would I want to do that?

I actually really like the show. It just has a lot of flaws. After talking to a friend about it for a while, we've come to the conclusion that the third arc (gun gale) brings most of them out, and makes them worse. It fails to resolve any of the issues the second arc brings up (world tree/damsel in distress thing, I have a lot to say about this that sums up to it was justified, but the character needed to be given a chance to redeem herself and wasn't), and makes the harem aspect that never should have been in the show to start with worse. I thought it was fun anyway, but if you didn't really like the show in the first place, it's probably not worth it.
-
I mean the damsel in distress bit, actually. I see we are of dramatically different opinions of the show in general.
-
Having seen some of .Hack// and not gotten into it, I'd say SAO is more a similar genre for a different audience. The second arch was definitely not the best.
