  2. Things You Find Amusing

Yes, I'm amused by my NPC's explanation of things. This might be the result of drugs and a lack of sleep. So apparently my headcanon is that Ms "I don't have a name yet, maybe Suzi?" NPC talks with a cockney accent, was that your intention?
  3. EGS Strip Slaying

I think it can still be classed as one since it creatively combines panels from different pages. A Franken-slay maybe?
  4. What Are You Watching?

Is it odd that hearing that reminded me of Barenaked Ladies?
  5. More Speculation.

We're at Thursday night here, so Dan's gone through 5 days in ten months, as opposed to 3-5 hours in 11-14 months. I can see Dan keeping Thursday night going for Wednesday's and Friday's comic, and then getting on to Friday's events next week. As it is, the majority of this arc was spent on getting Sunday out of the way, having Pandora talk to Disco Wizard and then talking to Sarah, Nanase asking Edward about Susan and Diane, discussing Elliot's cover over the events at the the mall, Grace and Tedd talking to Sarah, Ellen and Nanase talking to Susan. That was 82 comics just for Sunday, the rest of the week has be 49 comics so far.
  6. More Speculation.

I feel like there's an overarching story that needs to be told, it's not just about plot, it's about their lives. And saying that Elliot's character development here not being relevant to the plot is like saying Susan's development with the school uniforms wasn't relevant to Sister 2. The thing about this particular arc, is there is a looming threat that Dan will be getting to soon, Dan said before he started this are that it will span the course of a week in comic time, he's now finishing off Thursday and the main event is supposedly Friday. Dan needs to show how the characters are dealing with the information they've just been given (Tedd and Elliot with magic reset and how they feel about it, Sarah with her spell needing to help try to prevent the reset, Susan faced with meeting Diane who may or may not be her sister, and everything Pandora's doing) while at the same time showing us how unaware they are of what's about to happen.
  7. This was sparked by the following theory that appeared in this thread. The bond between Justin and Susan is very complex, I don't even think it's on the same level as Elliot and Tedd. So I figure the best way to go about this is to go step by step through the evolution of their relationship. They're first meeting was during the first Sister arc when Justin came in with Nanase after Susan called her to fight the goo monster. Things don't start off well between them as Susan assumes that Justin is Nanase's fling (Susan did call Nanase a slut over the phone), also Susan's view on men in general was still very much skewed towards the negative there. Later, after the goo fight and everyone's at Tedd's house, Susan is tolerant of Justin, but no really improvement, though I'm sure Justin learned something about Susan here. Jump ahead a few nights and Ellen, Nanase and Justin go out to rent a movie, they run into Susan, who calls Justin "boy toy", again referring to Justin's association with Nanase, we do see that Justin can be quick to take bribes even from someone who had a moment earlier degraded him. Quick fastforward and Justin comments about the organization of the video store in regards to the Star Trek movies and apparently Susan takes the compliment to heart and sees Justin as someone with very similar interests, and they apparently geek out together while Nanase and Ellen have trouble deciding what to rent, you can tell by the way Susan's looking at Justin that she's warmed up to him. When we get to Susan's house, she apparently had thoughts about the possibility of Justin being more than a friend, but then awkwardly finds out that he's gay and is quite disappointed. So at this point Susan had found a guy that hadn't so far shown signs of being male scum, had very similar interests as her, but the downside was that he's gay. She's also felt quite bad about telling her mom that while thinking she was lying to her, plus she also took her mom's comment about being a lesbian to heart as she asked Ellen to zap her, thinking it would help he be attracted to females not as guilty about outing Justin to her mom. Jump again to "Painted Black" and we have Susan arriving with Ellen, Justin and Nanase, to get Sarah after Elliot was taken. This is probably a key moment that solidified the fact that Susan and Justin were now friends as she went to visit him at the comic shop. And on the drive to Tedd's she jokes that Justin should hold out for a fully functional Soong android after Justin comments that maybe Tedd could build him a boyfriend. They kinda had a bit of a disagreement in which Jeremy took Susan's side but then she had to make a comment about the Uryuom worker suit looking better on Justin. The fact that Susan let Justin braid her hair while Ellen, Nanase and Grace were off rescuing Elliot and dealing with Damien shows the friendship was still developing nicely. , On to Grace's Birthday party, while Susan didn't have Ellen's IM name, she did have Nanase's, and easily guessed that Nanase was rping with Justin, so I guess we can assume that Susan exchanged IM info with Nanase and Justin while she was at the comic shop just prior to being called to pick up Ellen in "Painted Black" (it makes sense that they did that then because even though they had the opportunity during "Night Out: Ellen's Crew" Susan would have been able to get Ellen's info then as well, but she didn't so she couldn't have got Nanase's and Justin's info then). We know Susan and Justin arrive separately (Susan with Sarah, Justin with Nanase, presumably because Sarah and Nanase didn't have transportation), but Susan and Justin did collaborate on Grace's present, we can probably assume that Susan and Justin IMed each other about it. At the time of everyone's transformation we have some name calling after Justin learns that Susan had Nanase pick out Ellen's outfit instead of picking it out herself. After Susan transforms and has his arm wrestling match with Nanase, Justin defends Susan by telling Nanase she should have gone easier on him. Next point of interest was during the Karaoke session, after Ellen had done her thing, they went into singing duets and Justin paired up with Susan. Now we have the big moment, Susan's all upset because the feelings about her father and questioning why she came to hate men so much are getting to her. She makes her way to the basement where she see's Justin who's also dealing with feelings. Susan decides that what she's dealing with can't be worse than Justin's and they get talking, Susan even attempts to use Trek humour to break the ice. Justin reveals that he was in love with Elliot then tells Susan how he was outted as being gay, the fight where Elliot saved him, becoming friends with Nanase, etc, and Susan tries to cheer Justin up by saying he's not alone and such, and then they kiss, and likely more if not for Demonic Duck creating a timely distraction. The thing about this though, is while Susan accepts that it was her choice to act on her attraction to Justin at that moment despite the fact that her male form was likely enhancing that attraction, Justin probably just blamed it on his female form initially. Both of them knew that they couldn't have that kind of relationship without the help of transformation tricks, but it still had a lasting effect on their level of trust for each other. We don't know if Susan ever told Justin about her father before Susan learned about Diane, but we do know that Susan confided in Justin on numerous occasions but it didn't seem apparent that she told him much when she walked into the comic shop in New and Old Flames to be suddenly bearhugged by Justin, forcing her panicked headbutt and telling him she didn't like being touched. Justin not knowing that because "you know" implies that she hadn't yet told him much of her past. In End of an Era, Justin got wind of the fact that Susan was attracted to Elliot and she assured him that she wasn't going to act on it because she didn't want to betray Sarah, it was interesting that there wasn't any mention of Justin having been in love with Elliot so we can probably assume that Justin wasn't dwelling on that any longer (though his reaction to seeing Elliot's female form later on might suggest there was still some lingering feelings). Anyway, we can probably assume Justin got Susan something for her birthday, but as far as we know, cake and a birthday song was all that happened. Identity had Justin and Susan talking about the feelings she had when she saw Catalina kiss Elliot and commented that she probably shares too much with Justin, so we know that Susan at some point told Justin about Catalina asking her out and how she felt about it, I'm guessing she told him around the time she introduced Catalina to him back in Hammerchlorians, but uncertain. At this point it's also apparent that Susan and Justin RP on occasion just like Justin did with Nanase. Later on she's IMing Justin again about Elliot asking Ashley out, she kinda glosses over the Bad Tom part, but it's uncertain if she goes into full detail about it as she focuses more on Elliot and her deciding to not interfere, she openly compares Elliot to Justin in how she feels about him, which says a lot about how she feels about Justin, she thinks he's attractive, but he's unattainable as far as physical relationships go, still she considers Justin a friend that she trusts greatly, enough to tell him stuff she wouldn't normally tell others. We can say that they love each other, but not romantically, also saying it like friends through thick and thin isn't enough because that can apply to the Main Eight as a whole, and as I said before, there's the love between Elliot and Tedd that Elliot compared with Sam and Frodo, but I don't think that's quite enough either. Anyway, did I miss anything? Firefox decided to freak out partway through typing this and while thankfully the forums saved what I had written, I feel I might have rushed to finish before it happened again. This also feels like the longest post I've made with the most links, but I wanted to make sure I covered as much as I could think of.
  8. More Speculation.

The first Sister arc revolved around Elliot getting turned into a girl which lead to the creation of Ellen. Sister 2 involved Elliot's awakening and the need to deal with energy buildups by turning into a girl every night and a couple times a day. I would have complained if Sister III didn't show us what kind of effect that's had on Elliot.
  9. The Justin/Susan Dynamic

Sirleck enticed the vampires to come to Moperville to be a distraction for Helena and Demetrius, he's likely well aware that the immortals will find someone to kill them, so he probably doesn't care if they report in or not and if he doesn't hear from them then that's more money he gets to keep.

There isn't really a pattern to it, it's just a two-toned shirt. Previously we saw it go from having the lighter part going over the shoulder as if Drake's wearing a tank top over a T-shirt, to having the lighter part stay below the armpits, and back again. But this time, there's still the light band going over the shoulder, but his pose is distorting it.
  11. NP: Monday May 15, 2017

Really? Doesn't look like it to me, his shoulder is shrugged up, though.
  12. Story Monday May 15, 2017

The last cat we had was the first of a litter of 5 by a stray we had found and brought in when we found out she was pregnant. The mother was a longhair Tortoiseshell, the first kitten that we kept was also Tortoiseshell, 2 kittens were completely black except for a little bit of white under the neck, and 2 were orange tabbies.
  13. Story Monday May 15, 2017

It has been discussed here before about how the Kinsey scale isn't the best tool for measuring sexuality, and I believe Dan has also admitted that it doesn't cover all the bases, but I don't think anyone would expect the characters to know of anything else without looking. Apparently Sarah's the only one that has, as she's referred to it twice now, she must have looked it up sometime before MV5 so I wonder what caused her to look it up? Her experiences with Grace and Tedd? Maybe it was as far back as Grace's birthday party when her and Elliot were genderswapped.
  14. Story Friday May 12, 2017

Well Edward apparently chatted with Mr. Dunkel a fair bit during his time off work. If Mr. Dunkel mentioned having Elliot pick up a TV stand as well, Edward could have been like "Here, you'll need these to explain it to him."
  15. Story Monday May 15, 2017

Not sure that counts, because the venus form works the same way that the TFG does, Susan being V5'd would enhance her attraction to men, Also, At Grace's birthday, Susan followed up by asking Tedd why it makes girls V5'd bisexual to which Tedd said it didn't and said it's possible that the amplified feelings of lust might confuse a woman into thinking she was attracted to other females. We don't have any evidence that Elliot would be even more attracted to men is an MV5 complete with pheromones and libido enhancements because that doesn't exist, as it is the only times we've seen Elliot show attraction to males was in a female form supplied by the TFG or the Mild Mannered secret ID. That's why Elliot isn't sure if any attraction is natural or magic related. I didn't mean introduced in a "Ashley, this is Tedd. Tedd, Ashley" way, more like "If you promise not to tell anyone, Tedd has a device that can transform you if you want to give a manly makeouts a try next."
  16. Story Monday May 15, 2017

It's only a matter of time, and whether or not Magic doesn't change, before she is officially introduced to Tedd.
  17. Story Monday May 15, 2017

Something about the last panel has me curious, Elliot's got her arm raised up and the hash lines by her head definitely give the impression that she's not just casually mentioning Noah. Is Elliot shocked that the time spent playing basketball with Noah sparked some sort of attraction? Elliot didn't seem interested at all in Noah's sweaty manhugs before, but Noah is fairly androgynous looking so it wouldn't be hard to believe Elliot might have had stray thoughts. Introspection is a relatively new thing for Elliot, he might be overthinking some things. It's possible Elliot might consider trying anything at least once just to see if he likes it or not. So while he may not be gay, it's possible he's bi, but he won't know for sure unless him and Ashley do another dressing room session with Ashley as a guy this time.
  18. Here's the thing, many webcomic authors/artists do what they do as a hobby, many do it for a living, many do it for a little extra cash to go with their regular jobs. Some people are like "If you enjoy these, feel free to donate whatever you like." Others are "If you want to support me, I'll try to so something extra as thanks" and then there's others that are like "Hey I also do this stuff as well if you're interested in subscribing. Dan certainly fits in the "do this for a living" as well as the "if you want to support me, I'll try to do something extra" categories. I know of some webcomics that use sites like Slipshine for more adult content and I know a subscription to that is a bit pricey. Dan's most certainly running this poll because he's seen a few people comment on the overuse of breast expansion related gimmicks and I think the switch from having patrons suggest "who, what, how" to separate "who would you like to see?", "what kind of transformations?" and "what kind of outfits?" categories tried to add more variety, but it still seemed like certain people and certain transformations topped the charts. What Dan's looking at now seems to be a mix of the pinup options as well as stuff like the old sketchbook content. Who knows, maybe some of the non-pinupy stuff will get posted in the sketchbook section instead of the pinup tumblr.
  19. Seems like a good majority is ok with Dan doing more than just pinups. Pinups are fine, but I imagine it starts getting tough to come up with something good for it, even with patron suggestions, one can only do soo many giant breast pinups.
  20. NP Friday May 05 2017

I had two great aunts (one of my mom's side, one on my dad's side) both had been living on their own for quite some time and were quite healthy despite one being in her mid 90's and the other being over 100, but their children got worried about what if something happened to them and there's no one around, so they convinced them to go into a nursing home. It didn't take long in both cases for their health to decline, and we're pretty certain that it's because of their loss of independence. I have grandparents on my dad's side who are up there in age, grandpa had suffered a stroke a few years ago and grandma suffered a mild heart attack more recently, but they're still living together at their home and they have 3 children plus several grandchildren living nearby to help with things, I haven't heard any talk about "they should be in a nursing home.", we know it's not something they want.
  21. Story Monday May 15, 2017

I don't know about Susan, he's been on the receiving end of her hammers. But then again, Elliot did technically save Tony from the bloodgrem despite Elliot claiming it doesn't count as "saving your worst enemy", it didn't seem to improve relations much though. Justin and Nanase don't know Tony so there may be a time that they could rescue him and then later find out who he is. They may just be of the "no one deserves this, even if they are jerks" ideal.
  22. Story Monday May 15, 2017

Link for reference. Also there was Tony's reaction to seeing Tedd (well Grace as Tedd) without glasses. Maybe Tony's been picking on Tedd so much because he's got some attraction to him that he's in denial about?
  23. Story Monday May 15, 2017

Dan's commentary doesn't really confirm or deny it either. So Dan's either leaving it up to interpretation, or he hasn't really figured it out one way or another.
  24. More Speculation.

So last week, Dan tweeted this: Looking back at 2007, I can see two possible plot points that could fit this. The first one that's I'll mention only because it was the first that came to mind and seemed obvious, but might be a red herring, would be the woman with Susan's face, and the possibility of Dan revisiting that as part of Susan meeting Diane. But then I got thinking. this plot point seems like something that still has a ways to do and Susan meeting Diane is just a stepping stone, so I don't think we'll see anything come of that in Sister III. The other thought I had relates to Magus. Or more specifically, the warning Pandora gave Edward. It leads us to think that the hawk is Magus succeeding in getting as physical body back and wrecking havok on Moperville. Thinking about this more, and what's about to happen, I'm wondering if Pandora's warning was more about a chain of events rather than one specific entity, Magus would be the egg, but Sirleck and the looming vampire threat is the hawk. We know at the time of the warning, Pandora claimed that she didn't want to know what happens, but that doesn't mean she wasn't manipulating things a certain way, her assistance with Magus, she was feeding him tidbits of info, she also introduced him to Sirleck whom was the one that bribed the security guard that the facility with the diamond. I dunno if Pandora was responsible for Magus being here or if she just saw his arrival as an opportunity to have some fun, the "He had no place to land, I caught him in my wings." suggests the later. So I'm thinking the Hawk is either Sirleck, whom we recently saw dumping his last host for a new one, and the whole "rain hell down on Moperville" part.
