The A-10 is an old design and has, even for it's time, a "limited" avionics suite. During Desert Storm, A-10 pilots were using the Maverick missile as a their IR/FLIR sensor pod.

Went from 40ish percent chance of rain to 60ish chance now. Weather Underground is saying "Thunderstorm possible 1:30. Thrilled about this.

My first non-military real job's head salesman was also an Amway person. Between him and the Mormon co-owner, who wanted more members in his local group, it was a strange place to work. Actually VSSI was a strange place all around. A good place, but weird.

It's hot. There is a good chance of rain tonight tonight/tomorrow morning. So I'm sweaty and have body aches. Not a good combo.

The USMC seem to love it. Of course the USMC has it's own view of air power and what aircraft it should use. Take, for example, them adopting the MV-22 nine years before the USAF did.

Arch Linux, of course. Hmm. I guess it depends on the vegan. I've know one that more or less opened every conversation with "I'm a vegan and you \should|shouldn't\ eat [random food]. She did this to total strangers as well as friends and acquaintances.

It's a real pain in the ass to walk some one through logging on to Discord the first time when they are barely computer literate. Took just shy of 23 minutes. Hopefully they can log back in tomorrow for game.

I haven't turned on my laptop in about 6 weeks. Everything wants to update plus I made 40,000 (more or less) changes to my Dropbox account. The machine has been dead in the water with 100% disk usage for the last couple of hours. Dropbox claims between 2 and 5 hours, depending, to finish. Glad I did it today instead of on game day at the game location.

If you meet a crossfit vegan who uses Arch Linux, which one do they tell you about first?

To the best of my knowledge the F35B can't take off vertically but lands that way. I could be wrong, but it's normally listed as a STOVL aircraft. <google> Apparently it can, just that's not it's normal means of taking off.

Vertical landing is less of a compromise than vertical take off.

I think she can tell that the tall image is a cat, I've seen her swat it it. Not hard, but sorta play like.

I would have trouble with the idea of a mach 4.5 aircraft doing a vertical landing. Obviously it's a sting ship from Honor Harrington's universe, where everything has inertial dampers and anti-grav, to include some buildings.

Yeah, there is that. Not quite sure how to explain a doll with your face on it, but it would be easier to explain than a full size mannequin with your face on it. -

Well it is hard for a space turtle to wash whites. They really don't understand the "separate your whites from your colors" aspect of washing. I suspect it has something to do with how they see colors and "white" is actually several colors based on how it reflects either UV and/or IR light.
