Yes 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Making a 500 degree roast. It's about 10 minutes into the high heat roast stage and smells just great. Too bad I can't get at it for almost 3 hours now.

In the last 30 minutes I've had 3 people (a single and a pair) knock at my door and ask about my evicted neighbour.

Went to my local bar and grill and ordered a salad with out tomatoes. So, after picking the tomatoes out of the salad, it wasn't bad. New waitress, so I'll chalk it up to that.

When the fireworks did reach the "warzone" level, Susan was in full cuddle mode and stayed with me.

So far fireworks have been light to moderate. Susan, the cat, has been either hiding in her cat cave or hanging out with me the whole time.

Well, sorta. He got his book out after Ellen found her being smaller. Nor has Elliot read the vision spell he got new "EZ 2 READ" version.

I just spent a few minutes on my front porch, drinking a cup of tea in the now mild rain. There is an owl in the area and it was calling. All very soothing and something I need to do more often.

Once the rain is over I'm going to harvest about half of my chive pot and make some chive butter. It's doing a lot better this year than normal.

The good news is they might have stopped for a while. The bad news is because we have a thunderstorm going on. Cat still freaking out. Also the fireworks people might not be awake at 07:00, but I wouldn't count on that.

While sinus headaches are not as deeply painful as migraines they are longer lasting and don't seem to respond to drugs they same way.

I know it was a power failure, which lasted like 5 seconds. The Chrome book laptop never blinked, of course, but I had to reload X windows on Godzilla and I've ignored the iMac...

My all in one router/cable modem/WiFi system takes too damn long to recover from a power glitch.

Went to El Caballo de Oro for lunch. Had the "Carnitas" (spelling?) which is pork. Quite good.

Susan, my ham loving cat is rather confused by hot ham. I gave her a bit off my sandwich and she was like "What the hell is this?" when she bit into it.
