  1. Things that make you worried.

Some jackwipe decided to toss a Molotov cocktail at a dude changing his tire on the side of the road. This happened about 2 or 3 blocks, depending on which source I've read, from my apartment complex's leasing office. Victim not seriously injured, but the car was totaled.
  2. Story: Monday, July 3rd, 2017

Worked on the first try? Yeah, that would be magic.
  3. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Ah, no. They should cut down those trees and plant Any Other Citrus.
  4. Story, Friday June 30, 2017

I stand, or more accurately sit, corrected.
  5. Story, Friday June 30, 2017

"Smart Phone" was more or less invented to cover Android phones and other things that look like an iPhone but are not an iPhone
  6. What Are You Ingesting?

I'm making an experiment right now. Trying to cook oatmeal with Apple Cinnamon tea for the water. [Edit] Do not do this. At least not without sugar at least.
  7. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Can't stand the stuff. To each his own.
  8. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Another note. Avoid grapefruit. Given the number of drugs it causes interaction with, as well as thing like being a major contributor to some types of kidney stones, I'm amazed it's legal still. It's possibly more dangerous than weed and damn sure interacts with more things. It's a good thing I think it's nasty as hell because most of the drugs I take are on the "don't eat or drink grapefruit" Really more food and drinks should include "contains grapefruit" and fewer should say anything about gluten.
  9. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

From WebMD: See that "Aging white male bit in my .sig? Seem that while cis-het white males might run the world, we get more kidney stones. Not being one of the ruling CHWM I'm not so sure this is a good trade off.
  10. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Thanks. I've been told the thing you can do to avoid this type of stone is change your birth parents. This is trickier than it sounds.
  11. The Weather.

Or aliens. Could go either way.
  12. The Weather.

Welcome to the world of EMP.
  13. The Weather.

Thunderstorming! About to shut down everything that doesn't have a battery back up.
  14. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Passed. The only _good_ thing about micro stones is a lifespan of about 3-5 days, from "Hello! Be having of the fun!" to "Damn pissing should not hurt"
  15. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Oh freaking good god no. Of course with migraines you really don't get to "oversleep your pain drugs." Smaller kidney stones? Been there, done that, put the tee shirt away.
  16. What Are You Ingesting?

For Reasons. I've been out of sugar, flour, dairy products and any thing remotely looking like "not passed it time" in the freezer. I've been forced to experiment with weird things to make pasta "sauses" with. The two best is the Cream of Mushroom Soup/Pasta pie. (fill 9" pie plate with dry pasta. Cover with CoM and one can of water, put in 350 oven for about 40 min) and Sesame Oil and poppy seed pasta salad. (make pasta. drain and chill, add oil until it looks like all of the pasta has some, dump a couple of tea spoons of poppy seeds into the mix, plus a dash or two of both lime juice and Fire Oil. I get my check in roughly 28 hours. I'm making pizza order from hell in 28.5 hours.
  17. Things that make you go WTF

I just woke up from a dream where I was the manager of band. A "Young Man Band", not a "Boy Band". Target audience seems to be the Mrs. Robertson of the world.
  18. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

Most days, my meds fit in a "daily AM/PM" drugs for a week. I've taken another one of those and loaded it with my pain med "ladder", which does it's job in giving me my migraine meds in order. Of course I have to mentally think "OK, I started the ladder at 04:00, It's 08:00 now, so I take Monday morning now..." I just took 2 of the last 4 of the bottom end of the ladder, which, fortunately is one that I have all the components of one hand, just I have to make tea and/or coffee to take the pills with. Monday's shopping run is going to be epic. I'm either out of or real low on most of my day to day stuff.
  19. Pinup Thu 29, 2017 Single, Sarah

@hkmaly I was trying to make a semi-lude statement there. I know why she is naked, it's the "on her knees" thing. Try to be a dirty old man pervert and these kids today...
  20. Story Wednesday June 28, 2017

It's his job NOW to be the official "Hi! We are humans! Any you are?". Head of Paranormal Diplomacy. Despite the game of the that name, Diplomacy tends towards at least acting like friends. I suspect that he officially knows and deals with on a day to day or at least month to month basis several Immortals other than the hand full we have seen.
  21. Story Wednesday June 28, 2017

It is literally his job to know immortals, half immortals, rampaging death hordes and other not quite normal people.
  22. Story, Friday June 23, 2017

Keep Doc and Rodger away from a taco filled with ANY pure gas. Pure gasses and mad scientists don't mix well.
  23. NP Monday June 26, 2017

But Leslie is from New York City, not Plains.
  24. I have had soom weeks that was my guiding principle in life.
  25. Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)

I very rarely rate pain at above 5. When asked about this I tell them I have been hit by lighting, been nearly killed by a 25kg volt line behind turned on while I had it in my hands and I've been the subject of a rabid dog attack. I know pain. A migraine that put me in a hospital bed for 4 days I never rated over 7. I do make sure that who is asked knows my history.
