I've been slowly making my way though the archives. I'm up to April 1951. This might take a while.

Not sure, exactly, why Diane is trying to "hang on to anger". That would be bad if she has to talk to some one other the Noah before she sees Noah.

I've actually had this and it's not as bad as it sounds like it might be. Not my preferred way of drinking Dr. Pepper, but I wouldn't turn it down when it's cold out.

Just got a call from the rental agent. They are moving the delivery of the fridge to tomorrow instead of Thursday.

Discussion of Military, real or fictional
mlooney replied to The Old Hack's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I've only seen lead 22lr, but I haven't seen any 22lr ammo this century. A fast google shows that FMJ rounds tend to be target rounds, and the sub-sonic rounds (which is what was mentioned in the original post) have all been lead. I'm not sure that sub sonic rounds mushroom as much as super sonic rounds. I know that standard ball ammo in .45 cal don't mushroom that much, but those tend to be FMJ rounds. This, granted, is based on digging them out of the sandbags behind the targets we qualified on back when I was in the army. -
Some of the very early Peanuts had CB looking much younger than the later ones. That may have been an effect of art style however. I know that Snoopy started as a puppy that more or less acted like a dog but, of course, changed over the years.

NP Comic for Tuesday, November 29, 2022

Pretty much. -
Right now it's "cloudy". What this means is that the light coming into the living room varies from fully bright to some what dim, with about a 30 second cycle. This is not helping my migraine.

I think that the type of ammo used in that demo was "stinger" type ammo, which I believe are FMJ. Not sure. I know that most 22lr are lead tipped. -

I've learned the hard way that one off NPC become "adopted" by the party quite often. Have at least stat blocks and a name for them. Of course if you do that they have a better than average chance of being ignored then. -

I suspect it has something to do with the fact that dry wall is exactly that dry, and doesn't really provide the stopping effect of wet stuff. See Mythbusters and firing into water. -
Explorer has been peacefully napping on the bed. As soon as I started my zoom call with my shrink, Explorer got up and climbed all over me. She seems to like voices coming from the computer and wants to be part of the conversation.

I'm fairly sure that the events of EGS could have taken place in the time given for them. It's bit of a compressed time frame, but not really all that bad. As a comparison, look at Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Each season was a year of school and there were events almost every week.

Just got told that the earliest I can get a new fridge is Thursday. Problem with that is I have an out of town doctor's appointment that afternoon. Hopefully they can deliver the new fridge before 2:00 PM

Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)
mlooney replied to ProfessorTomoe's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Just got off a zoom meeting with my shrink. She's not really happy about the fact that I am getting 12-14 hours of sleep a day, however doesn't want to change my meds as they are working for everything else. She suggested that I try to stay up later, which is probably a good idea anyway. I have several projects I could be working on, but I've been just going to bed around dusk (or earlier if I have body aches). Well see her again in 8 weeks. -
Also this. Don't know if there is a market for art-by-cats, but there is instructions on how to do it. https://thatisformycat.com/blog/can-cats-paint/ Video!

I've just been told that it may take several days to get a repair person out and/or a new fridge. Really less than gruntled by this.
