No kidding. In order to properly prepare Egyptian Blue for the long millenniae of maturation, you need a circle of at least a dozen chanting priests to carry out the preservation rituals and administer the sacred unctions. And then of course you have to wrap it in bandages, too. Ask the Pharaoh if you don't believe me.

The Moderator: As above. I tend to be a lot more forgiving about the themed threads in the Off Topic forum, which is rather informal anyway. They are just so useful for venting, gossiping and generally shooting the breeze. Don't worry too much about it, if it ever starts to become a problem I will warn people of it well ahead of time. -

Bluntly speaking, I think it is because it has somehow become tied up together with your health problems in your head. Confronting it feels like confronting something overwhelming. It isn't, not really, but as long as it feels like it is, there isn't much difference. :/ I don't have any advice for solving the problem right now. But it can be done. I've fought blocks like that myself. You may have to work yourself up to it or, if you can't force your way through the block, find a way to make an end run around it somehow. Trick your way past it. Sorry I don't have any better suggestions.

You should have been more suspicious of his assistant. Hotep tried to warn you that she carried not only several pocket-size blank steles but also a miniature hammer and chisel. But nobody listened.

As to his procrastination, I think it all stems from the same problem: being unwilling to think about his gender identity. For one thing, it is introspection, and we know Elliot doesn't like to do that. And searching the comments for superheroine sightings relates directly to that and would only set him to thinking about his gender identity again. Apart from that: as to not wanting to read the comments, I can completely relate to that. And sometimes they are even more of a nightmare if you are a moderator because then it is also your responsibility to judge what may be out of line and what should be done if so. *sigh*
