Labs with hazardous chemicals are; otherwise, ... I don't think so? Depending on the electrical environment, such a shower could be a significant hazard. I think using the emergency shower is tracked, and if you used it to take a shower, you would at the very least be counseled to not do it again. They dump a bunch of water, so clean-up is involved. Maybe water damage to nearby items. And for the reasons you said, not a substituted for a shower used for cleaning yourself.

Yes, I think he's getting better at it, some of the regrettable directions were early on. "alien technology" <hand wave> would have made much more sense than "Uryuom Eggs". I'd be tempted to retcon that they are tech. When he focuses on the people and their personal growth, he's much more consistent. I think that's his big draw; it is for me.

Based on the tome of the art, I would expect evening music, but somewhat upbeat. Is that the intended message?

Edward is generally very supportive of Tedd, and affords them a lot of trust, but has a specific blind spot with gender. He doesn't even seem to be on the difficult end of that scale; he appears to accept Nanase and Ellen, and he's not a dick toward Justin. It is possible he is unaware. He's been dad and mom to Tedd for most of Tedd's life, and if Tedd is emotionally healthy and feels loved, Edward gets a good portion of the credit. I expect once they talk openly, Edward will be much more accepting. That is not always the case. I'm pretty sure that's 'most', but it is a targeted prohibition against renting a room off campus, and commuters that live at home with their folks are typically allowed. There are plenty of other exceptions; many colleges do not have facilities for married students, nor single parents. Military veterans and generally older students ('continuing education') usually have their own departments with a separate set of rules. Part time students are not only exempt from the requirement, but likely not eligible to use the dorm. Tedd could probably get away with putting a cot in his lab and living there, if he wanted to. He probably has a bathroom and a kitchenette. He might have to use a bit of his lab budget to have a shower installed.

Huh, that is a point, if the TF gun is modeled after how Uryuoms shapeshift, you'd expect them to be subject to the same rules. Very much agree, Grace is a cool character who works in this setting, and you are better off not thinking too much about where she comes from. EGS is fantasy, not hard sci fi, but Dan goes some distance trying to explain it. That might be counterproductive.

The Endless franchise is pretty good, two Civ builders, one essentially fantasy, one in space; the base games are well balanced. Some of the DLCs are farmed out and are not so good, balance is tossed aside. There is a story line of sorts threaded through them all; one of the wins in Endless Legends is finding and excavating a crashed space ship to escape the dying planet, it is the same ship as the dungeon in Endless Dungeon. In Endless Space, you can colonize the husk of the world that died in Endless Legends. The increasing plethora of games is not all positive. So many bring little innovation to the table. In a crowded field, it is difficult to make a profit. The true gems struggle. As with "Let's farm out our DLC", profit overtakes quality.

Amiable Dorsai nailed it. It is odd to me that they would live in the dorm. You save a lot by commuting, although you do miss out on campus life. Given how many of them are going, they could easily share rides. It could very well be cost effective to buy their own group house near campus. Re: Conducive to story telling, I don't see a place on campus combining the size, facility, and privacy of Tedd's basement.

1. Hair, twin pigtails - that's a Danism for sexy, now applied as a Richism. 2. Glasses - that's a Danism for nerdy, now applied as a Richism. 3. Freckles - I don't see freckles. Clean your screen? 4. Larger than life breasts - that's a Danism for sexy, now applied as a Richism. FWIW, I prefer smaller. 5. Clothes. Never seen her in that sort of outfit. - The tie in particular suggests some authority, With they tie, the shirt looks like it is intended to be a buttoned shirt, even though no buttons are visible, and there is no visible split at the bottom. The pleated skirt and FitBit watch nail the look; it is designed to convey authority, more or less a school marm. This correlates with the commentary text. 6. Surprised you did not mention her height. Nanase is not particularly tall, Rich's imagined Nanase is a giant that towers over him. 7. & 8. Also, the eyes and lashes. I think the long lashes are a token for sexy. The rounded eyes are just weird; she is now an Asian in whiteface. Why? So, you are saying Rich is not seeing reality; kudos, I think we are in agreement.

I believe we are seeing Nanase as Rich is picturing her, a mix of reality and his imaginary embellishment. Given his track record, how he views women, I'm surprised she doesn't have some preying mantis features. "I never met my dad. He died during the honeymoon."

Grace, for being incredibly disconnected due to how she was raised, and how often it is said she needs counseling, is fairly healthy and balanced, most of the time. She could use a savvy mentor, but she's not clueless; some of her oddest reactions (WW II was awful) are very healthy. I'd have to go to the political thread to give your a contrast. Sarah is pretty healthy as well, maybe more so than Justin. She has some family issues and relationship issues, but nothing I'd even call neurotic. Luke has not shown any terribly off behavior, although, we haven't really seen him much. Rhoda does not seem to have major issues, and has grown out of her mousy demeanor, perhaps due to dating Catalina, or due to her magic. Catalina seems to have gotten healthier as well. They might each need counseling, but nothing too invasive. Diane seems particularly well adjusted. She may be a bit much, although she did fit in well at the party, but there's nothing a little feedback wouldn't aid. Lucy is more of an unknown, she does not appear often enough, but she has no obvious issues, now that her wanting Diane is resolved. Ellen has issues, but is for the most part well adjusted. She might be helped with an outside point of view influencing how she sees herself. I'm curious why a relationship with Nanase hasn't provided that. Susan is coping well overall but has some deep issues. Likewise, Nanase and Tedd. All three could use therapy, but family counseling might go further. Edward is a bit of a cypher, perhaps he just hides well. Sam and Jay seem pretty messed up, family is a factor for Sam, but Sam does not seem very open to healing, although he now has an outlet, so that might change. Jay, we don't know enough about yet. That leaves Elliot, mostly normal-ish, mostly OK, but prone to some very odd reactions. There are hints that whatever is going on with Elliot is deep seated. And Ashley ... healthy? Seems to cope well, but pops in and out of her fantasies a lot. I'm not convinced she's in a good place. Nor Liz, very savvy, but alienated. Something is up, there's a backstory. Rich, of course, needs help. Larry seems to be doing OK.

Comic for Friday, September 9, 2022 Reactions to Edward's announcement. Edward seems more nervous than he is normally portrayed, Tedd's reaction matters to him. Maybe Grace's as well. Grace is immediately eager, Tedd is understandably conflicted, but seems less positive than he should be. Why does he suddenly feel 'loyalty to his mom'? Even if Tedd had a relationship with her, dad has a separate life; Tedd is old enough to fully grasp that. And, yes, it is a conflict of interests, but they'll probably be OK, because it is in a Webcomic. "I now pronounce you husband and ... ??? ... ???? ... space babe?"

I can confirm C III P.O. is indeed a pun. I am fluent in over six million forms of pun-ishment. He was just pulling our legs. Mine came off, and I had to replace it; couldn't match the color.

Maybe the bulb is defective.
