      Welcome!   03/05/2016

Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change.  If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away.  I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

The ability to morph and reconstruct people (both others and myself) to alter appearance, inherent physical abilities, repair, rebuild, or remove maimed and diseased tissue and organs. Also the artistic skill to do an attractive job.

Forget Paris. Lead a Viking Raid to reclaim what was Danish Territory. The Danes sold the Danish West Indies to the US in 1916 and the US Virgin Island politicians have not yet agreed on a territorial constitution with the US Congress, so it remains an Unincorporated Territory. You may want to consider setting a date to close the poll. Then, at a later time, post a new poll and compare the results of the first poll against the second.

2020? There's a fair chance we won't even see Grace turn 19 before then.

If the teacher pauses in the lecture and says "this will be on the test", the students know they need to pay attention because it will come up again. If the Dan pauses in the Comic and says "this is not relevant", the bunnies know they need to pay attention because it will come up again. Chibi/Dream Sarah and Grace probably shop at the same Mystic Market. Both Jerry and Edward Verres mentioned buying spell books. How many different legitimate commercial magic retailers could a town the size of Moperville support? And even though the suits may look similar in greyscale, they might actually be different colours.

Grace, you really should ask the person selling you the vehicle to go over all the installed options and features before you drive it off the lot. At the very least read the owner's manual before pressing random buttons. And I thought "D. Va" meant that the specified politician was a Democrat from Virginia.
  13. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

Considering the mythological science of EGS, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the offspring from a Main Eight member was actually delivered by a stork. At the very least, that stork could deliver pickles to, and perform Groucho Marx impressions for, the expectant parents. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLpEsMTyJ0E
  14. What Are You Watching?

Reading this forum got me thinking about Pronouns Again. I wonder if the School House Rock people can make a colorful music video addressing the question of personal pronouns in an era of increased gender identity and orientation awareness? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koZFca8AkT0

Tedd's nose resembles that of his cousin which presumably means that he takes after his mother in that feature. We have rarely seen Edward without glasses, so it is difficult to really compare his eyes with Tedd's. Growing facial hair can be a cheap and dirty way to make a man look more masculine. So perhaps without the moustache Edward looks more like his son.
  16. The Weather.

Sounds like the old joke of the man who complained about the leaking roof while it was raining, but could not fix it while it was raining. Then when the rain stopped, he would not fix the roof because it was not leaking now.

There are many possible connections. How one person within those connections describes the relationship may be different from how someone else within those connections describes the relationship. And those titles need not resemble how someone outside the connections may describe the relationship. This conversation resembles discussions regarding race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification and many, many other human conditions. Some experts may disagree on terminology. Certain names may be regarded as offensive by some but not by others. This makes it difficult to have a meaningful discourse without being side tracked by arguing semantics or offending someone. I very much doubt that any important questions will be settled by a web comic and its associated on-line discussion.
  18. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

I can't believe I never considered this possibility.

See, this is exactly what I mean. The rest of us will have no place in the new society if Texas is allowed to expand unchecked. Our outsider status will be beyond obvious. In this eventuality, there was a contingency plan for counter attack that would launch from the Indianapolis 500. But it seems implausible now since NASCAR loyalists have overtaken the Indy Car Tories.

Well, most of the residents of Hotel Khufu would find it rather unpleasant at this point. The reflective polished limestone surface that was removed over several millennia wasn't just for decoration. It was the heat shield.
  21. Story Tuesday, June 14, 2016

In as much as it is possible for people to truly comprehend the suffering of others with a dissimilar background, we do appreciate and understand the trouble of living in Oklahoma. Having said that, we have very selfish reasons for keeping the Sooner State where it is. Oklahoma is a vital keystone that holds Texas in place. Were it to be removed, Texas would immediately expand to fill the vacuum. Swelling far faster than Colorado, Missouri, Arkansas, or Kansas could spread into the void. That small burst of expansionist momentum could quickly lead to a Texas Bang (similar to a Big Bang, but since everything in Texas is "Big", including that word in the description would be redundant). All the safe red states between the Rockies and the Smokies would become Texas counties, and those of us who don't know anything about cattle or oil would be forced to wear Stetson knock-offs in a vain attempt to fit in with ya'll.

Jetpacks? Darnitol, it is 2016. We were supposed to have Jetpacks as well as flying cars, robot maids, commercial space travel, and every woman was supposed to look like a supermodel, sixteen years ago. When oh when will the Jetsons deliver on their promises?
