Mundane? Susan is already an Awakened Mage whose initial spell had combat applications. That already puts her in the general recruiting pool. Actually, pretty much all of the main ten have potential as recruits.

More or less—compared to the time that Earth has existed, humanity’s existence is a tiny sliver of that, and what we consider to be “civilization” is less than a twentieth of that, even if we include the 2/3 of the years since the first cities that are “prehistoric” due to writing not having been invented before the third millennium BC.

AFAIK, a sneak attack is when the enemy is too unaware or too distracted to react defensively to your attack, so they are wide open and can not dodge, deflect, or block the attack. For RPGs, this tends to be modeled with bonus damage or an automatic critical hit.

Yeah, it would not be about walls per se, but more about not being on the physical plane and untouchable at the same time.

I usually interpret it as an attempt at play-wrestling, as cats tend to do with one another when they are friends.

Snorting snuff is a bad idea for someone in your condition, anyway. -
I still think that the “not going through walls” thing is just a subset of “not allowed to be intangible while on the physical plane”.

It seems that Immortals are no longer allowed to render themselves intangible while they are in the physical plane. My first guess as to why it had been forbidden is out of an agreement about balance/justice—because they are presumably allowing themselves to have more engagement in mortal affairs, they agreed that it was “unfair” to be untouchable when they do so. Recall, when Immortals knowingly attempt something forbidden, they get a nagging voice in their heads telling them not to do it, which can become annoying enough to count as a lesser punishment in itself.

I understood just enough of that to wonder what implicit assumption distinguishes this device from its color inverse (i.e. knowing that the upper pouch is the golden one rather than the lower, etc.).

My worry is that they will have another tantrum even worse than January 6th. -
Certainly physical conditions are beyond legislating, but the Immortals’ own behavior vis a vis what is taboo or forbidden to them has likely been changed. Certainly, if Voltaire has gotten any part of what he wanted, their leeway to interact with Mortals has expanded beyond strictly “guide and empower”.

On the other hand, Immortal Law in the sense that Zeus refers to is legislation in the same sense as human law, arrived at by agreement of those persons so empowered by their society. It is thus subject to revision when said persons collectively will it.

The “no longer able to pass through physical walls” seems a stretch, but the others seem plausible. I think that he was talking about some other form of barrier.

Hmm, you know, it’s been a while since we’ve heard about the cats at Prof. Tomoe’s place. How goes it with them?

Hmm, Deus D minus 4. Count four letters backwards from D and you wrap around back to Z. Therefore, Deus Z. I’m 99% sure that it is Zeus (formerly Jerry). Pandora tasked Zeus with watching out for Susan and Diane, in addition to his own vow to help Susan.

With a bit of a mind flip you’re into the time slip and nothing will ever be the same

“Grace is a big hugger” would quickly mutate into “Grace likes to grope people” as the rumor spreads.

She looks to be enjoying the cuddles.

There are radiation sources other than nuclear weapons and the fallout thereof, even if most passive sources ultimately stem from the decay of unstable isotopes. For example, there have been several incidents (most recently in Australia) in which a radioactive pellet used in medical radiotherapy systems got loose into the outside, though such items are only a threat when you get within tens of meters of them.

Perhaps you could do with some over the counter stool softeners.

I wouldn’t say “never”—when I was in high school, a jacket would inevitably be noticeably dirty and smelly within a month without washing if worn daily.

That’s more apoplectic than post-apoplectic. -
Well, Rhoda has always been described as a “puppy”.

Shared lockers unfortunately also means shared liability, and where I live, at least (Silicon Valley), the parents would not tolerate the idea of their little darling getting blamed if their locker-mate is caught with drugs or other contraband.
