There are several video games that, if you just played all the cut-scenes in sequence, would appear to be a decent animated short feature

I've never really understood cut scenes that don't reflect what just happened in the game.  Granted the last "video" game I played was either Diablo II or Final Liberation, which is a turned based wargame.
