With that much rollin', someone is bound to start singing the Rawhide theme.

Your aging yourself there.

I've never seen Rawhide, but I've heard the theme before. I think it was in a commercial, though I don't remember for what.

Most likely, you heard it during the "Blues Brothers" movie. Their version rocked.

I have seen "Rawhide," the TV show, though I was young enough that I really didn't understand much of it.

I vaguely remember Rawhide, but I think that was from syndication

Westerns, including Rawhide, were in their heyday when I was little. I recall seeing it, but it was more setting driven than some of it's peers, so made less of an impression. I think, also, my dad was less interested in it than some of the others.

Yeah, westerns were a big thing in my really early years, but I got exposed to most of them during syndication a few years after.  I remember "Big County" being a daily thing on the El Paso TV while I was in AIT in 78-79.  That and "Wild Wild West".

I liked Brisco County, Jr., which came out much later. It was tongue in cheek, like Wild, Wild West.
