Rhoda's success seems at odds with the last panel of the previous comic. The last panel of this one makes no sense.

I'm hoping for a reveal that will tie it all together. At least maybe Cat did not screw up badly.

 

Commentary:

Spare - add next ball pins.

Strike - add next two ball pins.

"I assume I averaged a score of three hundred and five on the regular." - 300 is a perfect game, 12 strikes. (Dan knew that, it's a joke.)

Rhoda's obvious embarrassment is interesting. She's in the presence of friends, but she seems to be afraid of revealing too much. Magic, maybe? Is she worried simply about the fact that she hasn't shared this with Diane and Lucy yet?

I fully expect that Rhoda's a Cat's magic will be reveled during this arc.  The question that I have is will Diane share this info with the rest of the gang?

I think she would encourage them to connect. I don't know if she would spill frijoles.

Also, I don't think anyone is aware that Lucy has magic, if she does, perhaps not even Lucy. Diane was not aware that she had influential speaking until Tedd pointed it out.

Hmm, not anymore, I think, she's gained a lot of confidence, but it may all be tied to things like magic that she thinks she should not talk about.

'Yeah, he said that at the party that Diane was at, in a context that she heard and understood.  It was right after Tedd said that Edward had broken the magic detection wand and Diane had commented on the destruction of the wand.

This last panel sort of makes sense; she's doing the required share, but she's also close to cheating in stating the obvious to avoid talking about herself.

Doing that in real life is highlighting that you are hiding something, which does tie in with the next comic where Diane figures out that's what Rhoda is doing.
