Panel 2, Bishop appears to have the ability to unhinge her jaw, per the snake-like resemblance. Both of her kids look human.

The issue with the prince preferring men has been faced in real life, the traditional solution is to marry to breed, and have dalliances on the side. Actually, dalliances on the side is part of the royalty territory; 'Divine right of kings' . . . Given what Bishops goals are, I doubt she'd balk.

Bishop does not seem like someone who would have access to that kind of gossip. She probably wants it, but she seems untrustworthy and off putting; who'd tell her anything? You'd expect a knife in your back for your trouble.

It is interesting that in this version of Cinderella, the stepmother figure is aiming lower. I wonder if that's true to the source? I doubt the gay prince is. Yes, they had gay people, no, they weren't prone to out them so publicly.

The king, assuming he's still alive, has options; he can have more offspring.

It’s when she shows the ability to unhinge her mind that everyone should start running away from her.

As for setting her sights lower, I am thinking that she would be pleased with anything that lets her family rise at least two steps on the social ladder.

I have the impression she settled for Edward due to urgent social or economic circumstances and was likely below her normal minimum.  She needs a son in law at least 2 wealth & status higher to give her an acceptable level of leachable retirement income & standing.

Regardless of how much status she and her daughters may marry, will she ever gain class?

However, is Prince Elliott gay? His SISTER is, but if he's anything like his canon counterpart, he actually prefers girls.

In this comic, "rumors say he prefers the company of 'guy pals'"; the comic from Feb 6 hints at it as well. " . . . You need a woman, Prince Elliot" seems to say that this is not his default.

This tracks with the main EGS comic, where in the last couple of years, Elliot has expressed attraction to Noah and Tedd. He described himself as 'gender meh' - and seems to like being in girl form, so he's moving towards 'magical trans', although he seems to like being with girls when he does.

Note also that we don't know in the Cinderella NP comic that his sister is gay, we have the same kind of hints; also in EGS, Ellen is not gay, she's stated that she is bi.

Who's actually straight in EGS? The actual adults, for the most part (George is pretty clearly not), Sarah, maybe Sam now, if you allow his magical transformation, Camdin apparently. and many of the minor characters that hang around the main crew.

The queen may have past menopause, making legit offspring difficult, unless he goes the Henry the VIII route.

The "Shoot for the Moon and if you miss you will be among the stars" philosophy is so laughably inaccurate (even to those with a geocentric view) that it suggests a complete denial of negative consequences.

" . . . 'e's 'enery the eighth, 'e is, 'enery the eighth 'e is, 'e is . . . "  -  I had the same thought.

"Time to promote one of the bastard kids!"
