And also makes Susan jealous. If Susan had a "holodeck in your head" spell like Sarah, she'd probably do all kinds of things as well.
  2. NP Monday June 5, 2017

I know, it's just that Justin doesn't, yet.
  3. Story Monday June 5, 2017

There's also this page, and that was before she got her spell.
  4. NP Monday June 5, 2017

Considering Justin's expression and when we last saw of his opinion of Diane... he seems to be eager for a bit of "the tormentor becomes the tormented" payback with this prank.
  5. Story Monday June 5, 2017

It's funny, because Elliot worried about what Sarah would think, but now Sarah's pretty much doing that with him.
  6. NP Monday June 5, 2017

I like the expressions in the first panel, Diane's blushing, but her face still says "This is sooo coool!", Ellen's is all "I did not think this through, but Diane looks soo hot right now with the ripping clothes". And Nanase is all "You did not think that through, did you dear?"
  7. Story Monday June 5, 2017

She can make objects appear out of thin air so it shouldn't be difficult to make people appear. Maybe she just wanted to watch herself transform, because she first made her clones male before turning them into palette swapped catboy Elliots.
  8. Story Monday June 5, 2017

Sarah's definitely over Elliot, really. These are not the fantasies you are looking for. ::hand waves::
  9. Things You Find Amusing

It's amazing how Jinx can be so mature that Doc is comfortable leaving him in charge of the shop, yet so innocent when it comes to relationships and the things Swampy and Sandy do in the closet.
  10. Story, Friday Jun 2, 2017

The reaction was more from a misunderstanding of immortal laws, Abraham believed that Adrian couldn't act against him just like Immortals couldn't directly fight a mortal unless the mortal directly attacked first. Pandora couldn't kill Abraham herself even though Abraham nearly killed Adrian and Adrian did explain that he was capable of acting if there's magic involved and is a threat to himself or others, and made it clear that Abraham was the aggressor. Abraham's not innately evil, he may have been arrogant in his ability to create an object that would cure lycanthropy, but that error in judgment might have stemmed from grief over the loss of his master, obsession with curing the nobleman, assumptions that the diamond was such a failure that only abominations could come from it, and the belief that letting Ellen live regardless of who she is would break his oath just put him in a very bad position. Nanase pointed out this error to him and he seemed to respond well to this knowledge hence the change from "I rise only to reap what I have sown" to "I rise only to atone for my sins."
  11. Story, Friday Jun 2, 2017

Magus could at least start with "I had been given the task to make sure you were killed not too long ago but I refused, I would like the chance to explain myself before you do anything." At the very least it'd be an opportunity for Magus to reveal any more info to us. If Abraham understands that Adrian was just defending his students, then Abraham shouldn't have a problem, but Adrian would understandably be wary of Abraham, unless of course if Adrian was cornered and suddenly a couple vampires happen to disintegrate or something because of Abraham.

In regards to the "BFFs" title, I wonder it Dan considers it ominous because it's foreshadowing something. For instance, the title for this page is "Not Quite BFFs", so while we currently have Sarah doing some things with her spell, maybe before this part is done we'll see something to do with Abraham's return. Pandora did warn Magus that Abraham would be an adversary in Magus' quest for a body, so if this arc is when Magus succeeds then Abraham would logically also be involved especially is it's part of the atonement. So the question is, does DGB still have the Abraham statue in a prison cell? If so does Abraham have the means to escape? It's possible they did move the statue to another location but the page I liked had the question of "how the hell are we supposed to get him out of that cell?" so it'd be a case of whether it's worth moving him or not. The other question is, would Abraham truly be Magus' adversary? I'd think after being told that killing Ellen was against what he promised, he'd make sure he wouldn't make the same mistake again. Despite Magus' situation, taking possession of a new duplicate of Elliot wouldn't likely make him a monster unless Magus tried to do anything evil, the danger would be from Sirleck taking possession of Magus after he gets his new body, so I'm thinking as part of Abraham's atonement, he'll be more of an adversary to Sirleck and the other aberrations. Maybe he comes to Adrian's aid? I know Abraham originally saw Adrian as an enemy standing between him and his task, but that task was killing Ellen, and since that's no longer on the table, Abraham must figure that his quarrel with Adrian was a mistake and so helping Adrian might be seen as atonement as well.

It's just that I walked right into that, and didn't feel it till over an hour later.

  15. What Are You Ingesting?

OK so not too long ago someone pointed out a drink involving orange soda and vanilla ice cream, I tried it and it's pretty good, like having and orange creamcicle. Today I had a craving for an old fashion root beer float. I didn't have any regular root beer, but I did have a couple bottles of hard root beer (6% alcohol) and decided to give that a try with some butterscotch ripple, instead of just letting the ice cream stay clumped, I hand blended it with a spoon which gave it a really nice thick foam on top, by golly it's tasty.

No...no... I just had one of those moments where I looked it up and thought "it probably wouldn't be a good idea to copy/paste that into the forums."
  17. Story, Friday Jun 2, 2017

You know, this scene reminds me of the things you can do in some games with creative or cheat mods that let you copy entities. Also makes me wonder if Sarah and spawn in a number of copies of herself or someone/something else in one spot and then let physics take over. In minecraft there was a trick where you could spawn a large number of entities on a single tile space, chickens for instance, and then all you did was nudge them for collision to remember that there's hundreds of entities too close together and cause the chicken bomb to explode. Another trick was filling a 1x1x1 spot (surrounded by blocks on all 6 sides) with squid and running into one of the inner corners caused you to bounce (more like launched into space) off. We'd get kicked from the server for fly hacking with that trick lol.

Oh god, do not look that word up on Urban Dictionary.....
  19. NP Friday Jun 2, 2017

I had just speculated on discord that a possible new spell or spell upgrade would be for Nanase to be able to create decoy summons like Fox but of anyone she touches. They'd still run off of Nanase's subconscious though as opposed to the person she cloned, but it would still open up some interesting scenarios. I also figured that because the NP is non canon, Diane's reaction wouldn't be as subdued as it might be if Ellen actually did this in the story. Another possibility would be if this scenario happened after Susan and Diane's meeting so the initial shock has passed, but Ellen's timing would still be a bit "too soon" for anyone to laugh about it.

How many bears are there in the US vs how many people there are in the US? It's one thing for all the bears to take a dump in a forest, but another for all the people to take a dump in a forest. Back in the late 1800's English slums were known to have poor sanitary conditions, there was no proper plumbing and sewage removal and heavy rains caused the streets to be flooded with waste. There was even a time when all that sewage was getting dumped in the Thames which cause high levels of disease because people drank from and bathed with water from the same river. What I'm worried about is the message being sent with the US pulling out of the Paris Agreement and such would be like telling everyone "Hey, climate chance isn't real, so go ahead and burn your old tires and dump your waste in the nearest pond, it'll be fine!" As for the Seattle example, yeah I'll agree that they're being pretty selective when it comes to what's considered contamination, to be honest, the reservoirs should be closed to the sky to prevent animals, birds and whatnot from contaminating the water. For me, we get our drinking water from Lake Huron so it's about as prone to all sorts of contaminants, but the pumping/treatment station has a number of filtration and sterilization systems to make sure it's as clean as possible for human consumption. Some areas get their water from underground sources and need to be monitored constantly for stuff like E.Coli that occurs from sewage getting into the water supply, either from Human waste or run off from large scale livestock farms. The biggest case in recent history for Canada at least is the Walkerton tragedy where E.Coli levels weren't monitored properly which lead to thousands getting sick while those that were in charge of maintaining the system kept saying nothing was wrong. What happened in Walkerton is pretty much the reason why regulations needs to be strict.
  21. http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2354 Ellen's got an AOE transformation spell? And got it just before her energy buildups stopped? She dodged a bullet there, hehe. Guessing we'll see exactly what it does during the NP.

We can probably argue till the cows come home whether global warming is real or not, but how people can argue that pollution isn't bad for us is just baffling to me.....
  23. Story, Wednesday May 31, 2017

I dunno, I think the initial reaction to being transformed would be to stop the car, possibly causing an accident in the process. Of course it would draw a crowd and emergency responders may end up getting transformed if the spell is still active when they arrive. That would be bad as well actually...
  24. Story, Wednesday May 31, 2017

Yes, but Pandora is trying to avoid causing magic to reset, so Sarah is the better choice since she can be discreet about it.
