Maybe he didn't die in the EGS universe? Maybe he lived to see his dream become reality? In all seriousness, this probably falls under that category of potentially creating controversy that Dan doesn't want to deal with, gender equality and identity is one thing, but how can you portray the idea that racism exists in a comic without offending someone? This is one of those societal double standard issues I think as well, because Dan's included asian stereotypes, and has had a character react to them, and readers seemed to have no problem with it, but I don't think having Greg, Charlotte, Rhoda or Grace (yeah we know she gets her dark skin from squirrel, but the general public in the comic would probably assume she has African-American heritage) react to African-American stereotyping might have a completely different response from some readers.

pinup Pinup: Saturday January 14, 2017
Scotty replied to Scotty's topic in EGS Sketchbook Discussion
Well the suggestion was "Amanda and Rhoda testing out the full range of Rhoda's size alteration abilities." So enlarging boobs would fall under that. The thing is though, I can't help but think that Rhoda here is in her "Stacked, tall" form that was teased in the NP, if that's the case, then the "Stacked tall Rhoda, wearing only a gift bow" pinup that should be coming up soon is probably going to also have mega-boobs. Then there's the issue with suggestions having seemingly expected results, like the "Ashley drinking a pint mug of tea" sequence that's bound to go further than we saw with Carol drinking more tea, but that'd be Dan thinking "well if Carol was affected that much by a couple cups of tea, then a pint mug should do more". -
Sarah obviously doesn't know that Edward already has a plan for that.

I'm not much of a whisky drinker so I had to do some searching. There's Glen Breton Rare and Stalk & Barrel, and I think Canadian Club's 100% Rye is considered single malt.
-
No it's not. It's actually not about the island, but in trying to convince each country their booze is better.

I guess Amanda didn't get Tedd's notes on the subject. -
As long as it's just those, I'll be happy, I'm reading these forums on a 23" Samsung LED monitor.

Question, whenever you write down those runes, does your dishwasher do anything different?

Panel 1 also has rounded corners, and the "remember, simulated time stop" comment means she's started the simulation before jumping. Whether she got up on her bed before or after entering the simulation is the unknown here.
-
2-3 times an hour which would be every 20-30 minutes, she doesn't have to actually spend any time in the simulations, but it's pretty much guaranteed she will.

I predict that Susan will compare Sarah to Reginald Barclay.
-
Something tells me it'll be easier and less noticeable for Sarah. Cus no one would see her flying, of course.
-
The only ones they've found that they...well, Rhoda knows, was Diane and Lucy and she made it clear she didn't want them to find out. They don't know anyone that they'd be comfortable with knowing their secret.

My shop teacher (shop as in woodworking, welding, automotive, etc) used to brag about the Model M's ability to be submerged in water for cleaning should something get spilled on it. Is that not the case with the M styled ones? I did once take apart a keyboard that I accidentally spilled milk on causing it to stop working, it wasn't Model M or M styled though as it used a silicon membrane with the domes where the keys pushed down to make contact with a plastic sheet that had all the contact points, wiping off the contact sheet and washing the membrane then letting it dry before reassembling got it working perfectly again.

It's hard to assume she's talking about someone else when she's specifically looking for Dr Sciuridae, and the previous page doesn't show General Shade Tail as being someone nice. Sirleck probably doesn't care about what happened to them as it means he doesn't have to pay them, the bunch that were sent out first were likely to test the waters, see if they would get Helena and Demetrius' attention, the "report" was essentially confirmation that the plan was feasible and now Sirleck's going to ramp it up. The only negative feedback would be if the first wave of vampires didn't succeed in pulling Helena and Demetrius away from Elliot (as in others might have taken notice and dealt with them instead).
-
Knowing Dan, he would have made that height meter as accurate as possible, especially considering Dan had stated their current heights earlier. Since Rhoda comes up to about Kitty's hips at 3'1.7", I'm gonna take a guess that Kitty is about 5'6".

Was that a Ford 427 or a Chevy 350? and how'd it taste?
-
He wasn't sure he was God anymore. Because Nioi said he was corrupting Lord Tedd. I didn't call it typical, I just said High School Drama. He knows that the vampires were lured to Moperville to distract Helena and Demetrius because he hoped they would make dealing with any vampires a priority and leave Elliot alone, from his comment "we've already sent so many..." suggests that he knows what happened to them and also suggests that the next round would include even more vampires and is supported by Sirleck's claim that "hell will rain down on Moperville". Whether he observed it himself or heard about it from Sirleck prior to this meeting, the effect is the same.
-
Well, we had Damien, we have Sirleck, and Voltaire is really giving off bad guy vibes. Lord Tedd originally came off as a bad guy but last we saw of him put that in doubt with General Shade Tail seeming to be the actual bad guy. Mostly though the gang has been dealing with High School drama with the likes of Tony and Bad Tom. Magus seems to be relying on the ability of Helena and Demetrius to get people capable of dealing with the vampires before they hurt anyone, he was probably relieved for a time when Andrea was on her vampire killing streak, but now worried that they might not find someone else in time.
-
This certainly does reinforce the idea that Magus isn't a bad guy, he's just in a situation that is forcing him to do things he wouldn't do.

I'll admit, I haven't been paying too much attention to this beyond what I see on twitter, but did Trump use Pandora Logic during a press conference when asked about the legality of some of the things he's done? Edit: adding context: -
This is one of those weird instances where looking at today's comic, then going back 7 years to the last time we saw Magus and Sirleck together, and it's really hard to tell that Dan's art style has changed a lot in those 7 years. I'm not sure if it's because drawing Magus is that easy or if Dan just nailed Sirleck's design the first time and hasn't felt the need to change it, it just seems like the style fits, both now and back then and can be interchangeable without being jarring to look at. Also I wonder if Sirleck's comment in the last panel is an indicator that he doesn't intend on taking possession of Magus after Magus gets his body back, or if he's just saying that while thinking "you won't really have a choice in the matter once I get a hold of you."

The main issue with a Dwarf Fortress catsplosion, is the inevitable tantrum spiral should one of those cats die.
