  1. Comic for Monday January 17, 2022

Experience has shown that Dan and I simply don't think alike, but I would guess that Edward has a lot of frustrations, personal and professional, on his plate just now. His organization is largely paralyzed by the change in Magic, his ex-wife kept a major secret from him while they were married, whatever the Flying Turtle Creature told him (I'm confused by the timeline, did that happen before or after the meet with the Griffins?), having to leave the conversation about Tedd's lab (ditto), and now, he absolutely has to involve a civilian in his first diplomatic contact with an alien species, with no proper back-up from his agency. His concern for Nanase's well being is almost certainly only a part of his problems. I don't blame him a bit for not wanting to multiply his difficulties by involving his niece as well as his son's best friend. Let's hope the Griffins aren't offended by Nanase's and the rest of Charlotte's Scooby Squad's absence.

Grace's dreams bring up the question of how she would, um, reproduce. Edward was of the opinion that she could get pregnant while in her human form, implying that she could not while a humanoid squirrel. Damian and perhaps Dr. Sciuridae, were of the opinion that she might have inherited the ability to produce a Uryoum egg by herself. I wonder if she would have to be in her half-squirrel for to do that.

    Skorts?
  4. Comic for Monday, Jan 10, 2022

I suspect that Ellen's unique "birth" and second life experience forced her to think about herself, her situation, and how she was to fit in the world. Introspection, to her, would have been as necessary as breathing.
  5. Story Friday December 31, 2021

Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth is a character in Futurama who tends to precede bad news with a cheery "Good news, everyone!" Given that the 160-year-scientist oscillates between genius and senility on a regular basis, it's difficult to tell whether this is due to malice or misjudgement. Should you ever decide to watch TV, Futurama would be an excellent show to start with.

What do you suppose the fraction of "eligible" males is? Some fraction will have steady dates, some will be gay, some will have removed themselves from the dating pool for other reasons. Some might even be interested but feel themselves out of those particular girls' league. Could four girls date a majority of the remainder?
  7. Story: Friday, December 24, 2021

Think drug or other contraband possession, too. The Rules of Evidence are simply not set up to account for miracles.
  8. Story: Friday, December 24, 2021

Or a spell that would put that note into his room.
  9. Story: Wednesday, December 22, 2021

Imagine Amanda being assigned to teach Tedd how to keep a proper lab notebook.
  10. Is this thing on?

    Anybody here?
  11. Story: Wednesday, December 22, 2021

Tedd has to know that he's not being told everything, he knows that his own father (of necessity) doesn't tell him everything.
  12. Comic for Monday December 13, 2021

And dilithium. At least twice as good as lithium.
  13. Comic for Monday December 13, 2021

"Nearly all of [the app icons] are useless." I wonder what the apps that aren't just window dressing are good for?
  14. Story Friday December 10, 2021

So Arthur is going to jumpstart the development of a technology that terrifies him because the alternative frightens him even more. I wonder how many of the participants in the Manhattan Project felt the same way?
  15. Comic for Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021

Here. It bugs me that Tedd hasn't tried to quantify Cheerleadra's power. Some of the powers, like Charm would be difficult to put numbers on, but weights are fairly easy to improvise. Magical Resistance would be interesting to look at, too. How many points does she need to resist Ellen's FV5 beam?
  16. Comic for Monday, Dec. 6, 2021

This actually makes sense. In comic book terms, anyway. Or maybe in D&D terms. Lawful Good becomes Chaotic Evil. The idea of Chaotic Evil Cheerleadra is somehow both terrifying and sexy at the same time. Especially if she has 28 factorial points to work with.
  17. NP comic for Tuesday December 7, 2021

    I should have quoted you.
  18. Comic for Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021

I knew I should have referenced this comic. The Tech and Spatial Awareness points should be susceptible to easy investigation, too. Probably wouldn't be a good idea to see how high she could fly without blacking out, or how bullet-resistant she is.
  19. Comic for Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021

I also want to know if the secret ID forms retain any of Cheerleadra's powers. Clark Kent is still Superman, after all.
  20. NP comic for Tuesday December 7, 2021

"A friend will help you move, a real friend will help you move the body." Some of the friendships in EGS might run that deep. Ellen and Grace, maybe.
  21. NP Comic for Saturday, Dec 4, 2021

She was dreaming about a non-Raven History teacher when the Dream Wizard showed up for the first time (on camera) .
  22. Story: Friday, December 3, 2021

Could Cheerleadra get Tedd-like intelligence at the price of a Tedd-like physique? Didn't seem so from the original description, but that's been expanded quite a lot. As to the group's name, "Pandora's Children" seems apropos, given the influence she's had on all of them. Or shorter: "Chaos' Kids."
  23. NP Tuesday December 2, 2021

Grace's current line of thought is a bad one to get into when you're trying to do improv. I know that now.
  24. Comic for Monday, Nov 29, 2021

Indeed. Tedd's ability to see both sides of the argument, and Edward's apparent belief in the rights of the individual, give me hope that Dan intends for them to eventually reconcile.
  25. Comic for Monday, Nov 29, 2021

On the theory that Moperville is Naperville, IL, yes, yes they did.
