  1. Story Friday September 15, 2017

So yeah, the scary people who had Jerry in their grasp the last time we saw him? Definitely Helena and Demetrius.
  2. NP: Monday May 15, 2017

Did she just stick that sign to the inside of Drake's glasses?
  3. Story: Friday May 5, 2017

The night sky would be spectacular! We'd be able to view the entire Milky Way galaxy in all of its glory, 500 billion stars burning silently in the sky. That's something that really bugged me about the Stargate franchise: at some point in one of the series, the humans acquired the technology to travel between galaxies, and yet they never stopped to simply gaze at our home galaxy.
  4. Story Friday April 28, 2017

Sirleck is looking for a low-profile host without connections to his previous one. He also obviously intends to betray Magus and take over his body after reviving him. I suspect he kept that butler around as a failsafe, in case he had to abandon his old host. Now he has incorporated him in his plan as some sort of intermediate host before he can move on to his intended target. He's probably going to "inherit" a fair amount of money, but not all of it. ETA: missed Tuscahoma's post, that's pretty much what I'm thinking as well

Btw, I feel reminded of this: http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=532 (It's a jest)
  6. Story: Wednesday April 26, 2017

It's probably just Helena and Demetrius, the whole chaos thing is something they could pull off just as easy as Pandora.

    What's "KEFKA"?
  9. NP: Friday, March 3rd, 2017

My point was just that Pandora couldn't simply postpone marking Liz because by then she might not have been able to give her that spell.
  10. NP: Friday, March 3rd, 2017

Keep in mind that what spells Pandora gives people at least partially depends on the circumstances. Take for example her encounter with Rich and Larry: Please take note of how the choice of spells to give these two changes over the course of the conversation. We also know from Sarah's encounter with Jerry that options for marking someone can become void if that person gains new insights, so if Pandora found that spell she could give Liz useful, she must have marked her or she had missed that opportunity of giving her that particular spell. And considering how Liz talked about "not being big on pretending something she is not" and "not being big on getting a taste for something and getting cut off from it", I'm pretty sure she gained the ability to influence the duration of other people's spells. My guess is that if someone is really happy (not just pretending) with a (temporary) enchantment, Liz can somehow make it permanent, like Tedd can change his sex permanently. Pandora would probably find that useful.

Don't forget she also likes to take really looong naps. http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp.php?id=491 The week before Halloween is also a special case. http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp.php?id=492

It just occurred to me that it would make perfect sense to retcon these two into being part of Luke's group. Of course not all LGBTQ people know each other, but it would make sense for a transwoman who suddenly gained the ability to change peoples sexes (which is strongly implied by Pandora's remarks) to discretely promote her services to other people in the same situation as her. If she does so over a local LGBTQ forum, she might catch the attention of Luke.

So, is she going to be Felicia from now on or Felicity?

  15. Story Wednesday March 1, 2017

So Arthurs knows about magic possibly resetting? That's quite a revelation.
  16. NP Monday January 20, 2017

Consodering how long that letter was, Kitty probably had enough time to zap the entire mall by now. When Rhoda and Catalina leave the stall, it'll be like the ending of "The Birds", except with catgirls instead of birds.
  17. NP: Friday 3 February 2017.

On the other hand Dan ~could~ end this storyline right now with a single picture of Catalina and Rhoda (in their normal forms, wearing big game hunter outfits and wielding butterfly nets) chasing after a pride of hobbit-sized catgirls in the mall.

I'm calling this guy "Larry's Dad", btw. Because that's what he looks like. Larry
  19. Story: Wednesday February 1, 2017

I wonder when Dan will realize that the steering wheel is now on the wrong side of the car. Must be a British import.
  20. Story: Monday January 30, 2017

I'm actually more inspired by this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsz1p7R5CQA (Superman posing as Batman)
  21. Story: Monday January 30, 2017

If they interacted closely, as in standing side-by-side on a regular basis, it would actually make it clear that they're not the same person. My point was that even if they didn't and were active in the same city, people would still tell them apart because one is the super-strong, bulletproof guy who can fly and shoot death-beams out of his eyes but doesn't because he's too nice to do that and the other is an ordinary human with a cape who can scare the wits out of the toughest bully if you just mention his name. Well, they couldn't use the same abilities, obviously. For example, if the hero possesses any superhuman abilities, then the detraction identity couldn't possess the same abilities. But there's no reason why he couldn't simply be good at things like lock-picking, climbing and running the way an ordinary human would. If Superman can pose as the ordinary human Clark Kent, then why shouldn't he be able to pose as a superhero without superpowers? Or the public might draw a connection to werewolves, who also don't transform into a wide range of forms. This would obviously result in a whole new world of trouble for Elliot, but I'm pretty sure it would get people off his back about the whole Cheerleadra thing.
  22. Story: Monday January 30, 2017

This occurred to me as well. I think that would actually be a brilliant way to hide a superhero identity: in the comics, people frequently figure out the true identity of Batman or Clark Kent, but who would ever suspect Superman behind Batman or vice-versa? Imagine Bruce Wayne crafting a second superhero alter ego in addition to Batman. Maybe a persona similar to Booster Gold. In case of an emergency, for example if the public gets dangerously close to finding out about his escapades as Batman, he could simply burn that second identity by allowing himself to be unmasked as that second hero. People would forever associate him with "Booster Gold" and never suspect him to be Batman as well. He'd just have to make sure that this second persona never actually gets involved in any illegal activities (limiting himself to saving people from burning buildings, rescuing cats from trees etc.) or acquires an enemy list similar to Batman's. I suppose the same thing would work for Elliot and his two alternative identities.
  23. Story Friday January 27, 2017

Nope, she already checked on him and subsequently left to figure out Magic's plan for Tedd. http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2295

Rhoda is already aiming with her palms, there's no indication she needs to do anything beyond pointing them in the general direction. How so? It's already established that Kitty is obsessed with cat girls and that she has an outgoing personality and doesn't hide her feelings. In fact, this is basically everything we know about her at this point. It's not a stretch to assume that missing this chance to meet two genuine cat girls would result in a moment of despair and that she would vocalize it audibly (sobbing, crying, wailing etc.), especially if she comes to the conclusion that she scared them off. Rhoda and Catalina would still be close enough to notice this (also: cat ears) and they're definitely the type of person who'd turn around to see if they can help. And if they don't want to hide any longer, their enchantments end - that has been confirmed by Pandora. Last but not least, don't forget that Dan intentionally created Kitty as a person obsessed with cat girls just for this storyline, so there's probably a purpose for this trait. He didn't need a character like that just to chase Rhoda and Catalina into the department store (they were already running there when they encountered Kitty), so there should be another reason. My guess is that Dan's thinking was along the lines of "What would convince Rhoda and Catalina to come out of hiding? Well, they'd leave their hiding place if someone was in trouble and in need of their help", so he came up with a way to make that happen. And yeah, that's just a hunch, but I think it's a coherent argument and I would like it if the story turns out that way.
  25. NP: Monday, January 23, 2017

Maybe she's going to enlarge one of their pursuer's shoes? I suppose they'll succeed in hiding from Kitty, which will lead to her having a bit of a breakdown and crying. Rhoda and Catalina will take notice and then of course decide to come out and check up on her, which will end their enchantments.
