I'm pretty sure CK is referring to Dan's commentary. "She really likes cat girls... I should name her Kitty!" So she's named Kitty because of her affinity for cat girls, not the other way round.

Kitty is ignoring the first rule of cat behavior: cats are attracted to people who hate and try to ignore them, and they avoid people who're too 'pushy'. I already feel bad for her because she probably won't get what she wants.

No, it doesn't - she could also say this to herself as a reminder before starting the simulation. I'll accept the rounded corners as a good indicator for her already being in the simulation, though.

This one is gonna hurt a bit. Switching to "time-freeze mode" mid-jump seems like a bad idea since, as Sarah said, time isn't really frozen after all. So unless she keeps this spell really short, she's probably going to land while being essentially unconscious. Even if she stays in the simulation for less than a fraction of a second and manages end it while still being midair, her reaction time is going to be messed-up.

I loved that series. Great animation, awesome action scenes, perfect mix between funny and serious, a sophisticated story with a beginning and an end, set in a fascinating world, with music from the legendary Yoko Kanno. (She's essentially to anime what John Williams is to live-action movies)

I just noticed that Dan has given Rhoda ear furnishings (the little tufts of fur inside a cat's ear), nice touch. The lack of that has been bugging me for at least the past dozen strips - without it, the ears look much less like cat ears and more like they're made from cardboard.

Where are these two anyway? Did Catalina burst from Rhoda's chest like a xenomorph in front of a dozen shoppers?

I suppose they'll also both end up fuzzified. "Can't wear your clothes because they're too small/large? A coat of fur will keep you warm and help you feel less exposed." [/Catalina logic] (we also don't know how to what extent Catalina's powers can enfuzzen people)
