I miss the days when the "plot" of a video game was the alien space ships are coming down and you have to shoot them before they make it all the way down the screen.

Well, I suspect that there is going to be a big display of magic in the lunch room. Enough to attract DGB attention if they were still trying to keep magic secret.

The only video game with factions i've played is Eve Online. And, other than the newbie factions you get while still in training, all the factions are 100% player controlled. The jerkness of them is based on the actions of the players. And, to be honest, a lot of them are fairly jerky.

I've just winged it if the players go to far off plot. Then somehow get them back on plot in the next session or two.
