So, neither Susan nor Diane are talking ... both have something to think about ... ... and Diane, I'm sure today you will see the lion mode as well. Or tiger, whatever. Wait. Sure Diane has no reason to research big cats, but what's Susan's reason? I suspect Adrian Raven also forgot. "Miss Diane"? Doesn't sound familiar. ... or this. Especially the last possibility. I'm on Scotty side here. Susan and Diane are not Adrian's children. Their dad who saw no problem with cheating? Maybe it was because he was raised by single mom without positive father figure, as his father didn't believed he's his child ... It's possible that Adrian Raven resigned on trying to catch up with fashion three centuries ago and just wears what he likes no matter how out of fashion it is and how suspicious it makes him. She might met her dad's father but it's plausibly so long ago she doesn't remember. The apparent age Raven is in however would point more to grandfather. And yes, she would know him by name, so if Raven introduces himself OR Diane blurts "Mr. Raven" ... Interesting coincidence indeed, but he does seem surprised or at least plays it convincingly ...

It's directly said in description that Susan is someone who would immediately clean the hammer spikes. Also, And of course, we can't see the big pools of blood just outside the panel. -
I think Susan's experience with Justin there proved that both sexes were capable of making the same choices. That woman that Susan caught with her dad didn't seem upset to find out he was married, she was surprised that she got caught. That would only prove women are messed up as well But, yes ; her experience with Justin shown her what the choice is and that it is still choice. It sounds much, much closer to OCD than it does an allergy, I believe. Maybe something like OCD triggered by allergy? Just like hay fever is cold triggered by allergy? Based on commercial success of those games, this kind of OCD is vastly underreported. Based on my experience, I'm not sure it's possible to explain something thoroughly enough so it COULDN'T be misunderstood.

Whoops. How did I get it so wrong? It's actually quite common to confuse which of those two numbers is month and which day, due to people not wanting to follow ISO 8601. Those two dates are 10-09 and 09-10.

She might not think what she did was wrong, but from the Q&A page about her, she wanted something new, which would have meant stringing boys along was no longer appealing. The point was she's unlikely to use it as example of her flaws. She assumed all men were like her dad and that all they thought about was getting a girl in bed with them and that even marriage wouldn't stop that. Her intentions at Grace's birthday were to find out if that was the case, she didn't really expect to think of her dad any differently, that he didn't do what he did because he was male, but because he made the choice to do what he did. So Susan could no longer use the "because he's a man" excuse her mom gave her. Yes, I oversimplified it. She didn't actually hated men, she simply assumed they are naturally messed up and can't help themselves. And yes, Grace's party proved it not true. Despite how far she got with Justin ... It might be possible Mrs Pompoms knew about the affair with Diane's biological mother, and gave him another chance, but then when Susan told her about catching him with another woman, that was the last straw. Exactly - or, possibly, some other affair between the one with Diane's mother and the one Susan uncovered. It's even possible this was third time - although I don't think Mrs. Pompoms is the kind who would give him third chance.

Diane decided she needs more from relationship, but she still didn't show any signs of realizing that what she did was wrong. Also, Susan already said she's aware it's illogical ; she's unlikely to phrase it differently next time. Actually, for a long time Susan did hate ALL men for what her dad did, and on Grace's birthday she started thinking that maybe it was just her father who she should hate. If it wasn't isolated incident (or, well, two isolated incidents), most likely her dad would be caught later and they would divorce anyway. Not speaking about the possibility that the incident Susan reported wasn't first incident her mom learned about.

Sooooo ... nobody told Liz that the number of players being guys can change every round?

Personally I'm far less worried that just when horde of aberrations are running around Diane is with Susan who can defend her quite effectively than alone, unable to defend against any vampire who decides that no matter how far from awakening she is better get rid of her. That said, yes the vampires might end up pretty messy when Susan finishes with them. The food court will be perfect place if vampires scares everyone else away. On the other hand notice HOW Susan defended her dad. "He wasn't cheated before". I don't think she did though about not telling her mom before ... BUT she might be thinking now. "If he DID cheated before and there STILL were good years after that ... maybe there could be good years when I wouldn't told mom ...". That was very likely part of that whirlwind of conflicting emotions ... which she likely didn't completely resolved since then. Only because the trolls on the internet REALLY bothered her.

.... aaand Susan narrowly escaped mentioning her aversion to touching out loud, although it's possible Diane will already realize that anyway. Also, yes, that weird phantom thing could easily be real in EGS. In fact, it likely IS more real than her logic, curiosity, nature and nurture. Definitely. And it also sounds similar to OCD.

Well, obviously it was more rhetorical question (although not completely rhetorical ... but not expecting answer, just to set topic of debate) ... only Dan would know, Fox was not explored nearly enough. The explanation made sense, however the connection might easily be bidirectional - it's just that Nanase is, just as almost everyone, used to not pay attention to her own subconscious, while Fox is running directly on it. Still, connection like this wouldn't really help to transfer memories, just emotions. Exactly, which I already mentioned. Fox is labelled "decoy summon". If she would be designed just as distraction in fight, like the color clones, she doesn't need anything else. If, however, she is supposed to be used for helping Nanase hiding some of her activities (with Ellen) from her mother, it is possible she is DESIGNED with memory dump feature so Nanase can learn what is she supposed to know when Fox pretended to be her.

It may not be thing in the west but it's quite popular weapon between dwarves, of course not nearly as popular as battle axe. And obviously there is Mjölnir ... although apparently hammers were not popular as weapons between Vikings and even Mjölnir might've been more like blacksmith's hammer. -
Yes that's the sort of cloning I was imagining. And to keep it in EGS ... can Nanase do that? Can she send Fox to some event and retrieve her memory of that event without resorting to manual control which would distract her from the event SHE's on?
-
Then they attend part of one convention, and part of the other. They can't fully attend both conventions unless they can clone themselves. And if they would clone themselves they wouldn't need the transit obviously. On the other hand, on most convention you can't really attend everything without cloning even if you don't go to other conventions, don't sleep and don't eat, so we can assume that the "part" bit is default.

It's got more spikes, but I would expect having the bulk of the hammer wood made it easier to handle. Though Susan's summoned hammers probably aren't actual weight anyway. It got both more spikes and more metal and I think it's minority design but ok at least Susan's not first one like this. Hmmm ... if it's based on the standard summoning spell it would respond to newton's laws and light hammer would be less effective BECAUSE it's lighter ... on the other hand, the hammer Susan wields is gigantic, it can weight enough even when from wood and unless it's hollow it's also going to need some magic for her to hold it and swing it with such ease. On the other hand, if it's based on the stun hammer spell ... well, the original hammers were based on anime jokes, were humorously oversized and certainly didn't worked according to newton's laws ; even women without any training were able to wield them easily. So conclusion is it's hard to say. The vampires in EGS aren't undead though. And Susan is trying to fix that detail. She didn't get to the "un" part yet, of course. -

For one, war hammers would normally be whole-metal, not mostly wood. But I guess it doesn’t matter as Susan is summoning the hammer anyway. Which also answers the “cleaning” bit: the hammer obviously disappeared after every hit, she resummoned it for posing. Second, being dead is normal state for vampires, isn’t it? Agree. Seems she has lot of experience with fighting vampires now. "Just two at once? I won't even sweat." PS: Of course, if you look it for warhammer as single word, you are going to find a series of games from Games Workshop. -
Isn't MAJORITY of feelings like this? Or it's just that Susan don't want to touch anything not clean, things OR people, and people touching her is worse as she can't ready for it. And they usually object to being disinfected. Xn = fractional portion of (Xn-1 + π)2 is absolutely deterministic but hard to predict. Yes. Another nice example is Langton's ant. Simple deterministic rules, hard to predict behaviour. Or fractals. But real neurons (unlike simulated ones) are NOT exactly deterministic. (Anyone who was drunk can confirm this.) And, obviously, there is much more than 5 (86±8 billion) of those in human brain.

Well, that is the default scenario with a solid block of steel. But strangely enough, that is not the case with a number of bullets. They fragment or deform as they hit and so spread the damage caused by kinetic energy instead of merely passing through and leaving a hole. And that hurts a lot more. Also, if they stay in the body - especially in multiple parts - they usually needs to be removed by surgeon. If the patient survive of course, and if they don't have Wolverine-type regeneration which just pushes the bullet outside. In most cases.

I'm not an expert on anime but I don't belive anime is only as diverse as western animation. I'm sure it's much more diverse. I was implying that her reaction on her favourite movie will be (with her standard bored expression): "Hmmm ... that wasn't so bad." That's definitely what she would claim.

Of course she can summon them. The idea was that she needs backpack so she doesn't need to UNsummon them. You mean Diane in point 2. And I would agree with points 1,5,2,5,3 and 5. They wouldn't be much use in car, but good point about the possibility the fairies are independent enough to be told to stealthy follow her. Psychiatrists are just guessing. We don't know nearly enough about how brain works. You can get hard to predict behaviour from FIVE neurons (according to professor who taught us neural nets). Most likely, the real reason behind the phobia CANT be described in human language in reasonable space, because it's deeper than language. Also, if the human brain was simple enough for us to understand, we would still be so stupid that we couldn't understand it. (Jostein Gaarder)

I suspect that Susan not dating much was obvious from the reviews - although not so much to know it was specifically "never". They did however stated multiple times she is NOT dating Elliot. Yes, there would be lot of interesting things to speak about. And I though fairy is the most important thing she didn't take. Hmmm ... she may have something in pocket.

You made me think what sort of plumbing (if any) originally had the university I was going on (although I'm pretty sure they upgraded it sometimes in last century, and maybe not for first time).

I would agree in theory. Both ought to crib notes from each other. But in practice I don't remember anything in Babylon 5 that looks like it came from Deep Space 9 (which is not to say there was nothing). Either B5 hid their influences better or they didn't steal much. DS9 may not have stolen anything else besides the Shadow War. (I am intentionally setting aside B5 fan accusations that DS9's concept came from B5 creator JMS' pitching B5 to Paramount. Not opening that can of worms) There are some format differences too. B5 was always intended as a massive 5-year story arc whereas all of the Trek Franchise shows were much more as episodic TV. Well we already found one example, so I would guess B5 was hiding better. The fact B5 looked very consistent and was always planned for 5 years except one moment when it was supposed to be shortened to four and then they changed mind again certainly helped. There's blame enough for both Berman and Braga. But Berman was the boss. The captain's always responsible. Ok, can agree with this. Wesley Crusher was Gene Roddenberry's Marty Stu. Jake Sisko was spared that at least. But I would say the only worse example of useful idiocy I've seen, was Jar-Jar Binks introducing Galactic Senate Legislation to make Palpatine an Emperor. But that was only one-time and Jar Jar wasn't only one who was played by Palpatine. Case in point, Anakin Skywalker. Meanwhile, Jake Sisko got into it himself. Seriously, son of commander of the station, how could he hoped they overlook him?

It was a comic convention, I think there was some anime though, at the very least they did have some Lucky Bunny Bounty stuff. I'm not sure about US, but around here we see no problem with having convention which includes multiple diverse topics like Star Trek, Star Wars and anime (and few others). But yes this was comic convention. I though you were referring to something else where I might overlook what kind of convention it was, although I though the pinups for example were supposed to be another year of same convention.

It is not a phobia if you KNOW a place is incredibly unsanitary already. Aaand I was saying the same when we talked about it last time. I'm glad my view was confirmed by Dan That's sound too analytical for phobia. Phobias tend to be less logical. One possibilty, and this goes towards Susan's love of Star Trek, the character Reginald Barclay was a known Hypochondriac and in the episode "Genesis" he's given a synthetic T-cell to try to boost his immune system which ends up causing him and the rest of the crew to "de-evolve". If Susan was young enough when she saw that episode, it might have left a lasting impression on her, she might even subconsiously emulate Barclay's behaviour. Or, maybe there doesn't need to be any specific explanations? Not even twins think completely same. Hell, even ELLEN is not complete copy of Elliot anymore. I would really like he would diverge, but I suspect he doesn't want to, that he's not interested in actually describing the changes all this stuff going public could do to society as a whole. Unfortunately.
