Maybe you could try Animal Planet? Having it run Too Cute might be helpful for your relaxation and stress levels at least. ...sorry, dumb joke. It is just one of my favourite programs when I feel down. -
Actually he was. He snapped its neck, which should have killed it except it was a summon with its energy being constantly replenished.

Don't lose hope. It may be that they will find a setting that works much better. Unfortunately this may require experimentation so I am afraid that right now you have to arm yourself with patience. -

Bugger all this for a lark. Okay. My Sith Warrior in The Old Republic FINALLY managed to get a complete Bastila Shan outfit. You have no idea how long I have wanted that. Problem: It does not look right on her. At all. Insult to injury: It looks awesome on her companion Vette. SHE can carry it off, blast her green Twi'lek hide. I hate her. -
At this point I have to wonder, is there even any such animal as a truly straight person?

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2414 What? It's almost Halloween. We are allowed some chills. ETA: If Diane has done cheerleading, she most likely also has potential in a fight. Cheerleaders are often pretty goldarn strong.

I am still entertaining high hopes for hydrogen. Once a reliable and efficient way has been found to convert it into helium, Earth's energy problems should be resolved for the foreseeable future. Admittedly hydrogen does not count as 'renewable' as there is only a finite amount of hydrogen on Earth but the reserve is so vast that I do not think we will suffer a shortage in the next millennium or two. -
I think hkmaly meant 'opening hours' rather than time itself.

That depends on how many cards each player gets and how common the individual types are. If we assume that all types are equally common and that a player starts with seven cards, that will make it achievable provided that you draw a card each round. However, let us say that some effects will cause you to lose cards -- whether random cards or all cards of a given type -- and you are already in trouble. More, not all cards may be meant for use on oneself. Some of them might be intended for use on other players or are of the type that modifies gameplay without allowing transformations. Let's say 40% of all cards are of this type. Suddenly that beginning hand is much less likely to allow three fast winning moves and it will take longer still to draw the extra transformations you need. You might still be right, of course. It's just that I am less sure, not knowing what complications Dan has tossed into the game yet.

A demonic duck walks into a bar. You would think it had seen it coming. A demonic duck walks into a bar. This is what happens when you set the bar too low. A demonic duck walks into a bar and asks the bartender to serve a drink for its dog. The bartender gives the dog a tuft of fur from the dogfight it was in the day before. A demonic duck walks into a bar. The bartender takes one look and immediately starts to drink his entire inventory. A demonic duck tries to walk into a bar but gets stopped by the bartender. Says the bartender, "I've heard it before." And so on, and so on, ad nauseam, ad infinitum. -
The Moderator: While I understand that legal arguments can be finicky, there is no excuse for getting rude in discussion. mlooney's legal standing in this matter is exactly the same as yours -- he is a fan of the work and he supports Dan. If you feel you have a stronger position than his, kindly assert it politely. If you fail to do so, I will take action.

Godspeed, Prof. May it go better than you fear. -
I don't know. Those old priests struck me as the kind of people who too readily fell back on bandage solutions.

It is a testament to the age of computers in which we live that it took me a full minute to realise that you meant an actual living and breathing mouse, mus musculus, and not a mouse of the kind that moves a pointer on the computer screen. I was wondering why in the world it would take so much effort to verify that you actually had one of the latter sort.

She probably made a wild guess that it wasn't actually Moperville South's principal suddenly going postal and figured it was more likely to be someone from the outside.

Nonetheless. We get to see how the Threadfall and the struggle of the Dragonriders look from the perspective of people stuck on the ground. We also get a look at ordinary Hold life that helps flesh out the setting and which makes it even better in my opinion. Incidentally, Steven Brust's Vallista just got released. Anyone unfamiliar with Vlad Taltos the assassin and his world should probably start with an earlier book in the series but for those who know him it is well worth reading. I am amazed at how he has written books in this series for a quarter century now and how they still come out fresh, each revealing new facets of the mystery that is the world of Dragaera. -
Durn Mason-Dixon Line. It keeps shifting around. It's been impossible to pin down ever since that time when Carmen San Diego stole it.

The Moderator: I am not aware of any specifics of this particular windmill farm but I know a little about how wind and solar in general are doing. My own energy company -- Danish Oil and Natural Gas, usually rather unfortunately abbreviated to DONG -- is about to change its name. Due to its heavy investing in wind and solar, and general changes in structure and divesting of less efficient assets, the leadership of the company recently realised that it no longer dealt in energy from either oil or natural gas to any degree of importance at all. An energy company with 'Oil and Natural Gas' in its name that didn't deal in either of these seemed a bit nonsensical to them, so in a month or so they will rename their company 'Ørsted' for the Danish physicist H. C. Ørsted. Given the nature of such companies (i. e., they want to make money rather than lose it), I do not think they can be doing all that badly. -
