Bear in mind that Edward is telling Tedd this in the presence of Grace, Elliot, Nanase, and Ashley at present. Arthur, and presumably everyone else that matters, such as the director is aware of them; this is from the incident at the warehouse with Magus; Arthur met Ashley, Elliot, and Ellen, from the tapes should know Elliot is Cheerleadra, and knew who Nanase was when Ellen asked to call her. They seem to know also that Nanase is powerful, and can fly. Also the government is aware of Grace and her family. Regarding deporting Adrian, they don't always exercise the best judgement, go figure. I can vouch that this is realistic, in case you've missed the news for the last decade. It seems that Edward has enough of a track record of being a bit of a loose cannon that he would be watched. Recall that Arthur was called up out of retirement to replace Edward, and Edward lost control when confronting Abraham. (It is actually odd that Abraham survived.) I don't think Edward has a lot of wiggle room. Yet, both the director and Arthur have stated that they fundamentally trust Edward, so maybe?

Comic for Friday, Oct 6, 2023 Dan gave Tedd two black eyes! The brutality! I like the current pacing of the comic, it is leaping forward. Drawing in threads, too. Grace appears to be extra tall. I think she's in the foreground. Similarly, Lord Tedd looks very tall. I think he's not actual perspective; imagined, illustrative, kind of floating, looming large as a threat. Elliot's eyes are very expressive of his astonishment, nice touch. He has a noticeable hair band. I checked, and he's wearing it in Monday's comic, but it's not as obvious. It appears to be a sports style band that a guy with long hair might wear, but I don't recall Elliot wearing one. His hair is long enough normally to benefit from one when he works out or plays basketball. Grace also appears to be stunned by the appearance change, as she well should be. Edward seems way too passive about it. Then again, he's seen some weird <pre-composted natural fertilizer>. <Biblical fiery hot place>, he may know people with those eyes. Hmm, I wonder if the Edward Verreses have ever met. They should have an inter-dimensional convention every now and then, just Edward Verreses.

The parallels of bad behaviors in the name of religion of any stripe are appalling. It's worse than it seems on the surface, because you can find similar examples of bad behavior even among religions thought of as peaceful and accommodating. Granted, sometimes there are historical animosities driving this. I would not want to be Islamic in India today. So called Christianity in the US is downright scary; I see the religious right as a driver of the move toward Fascism. FWIW, I don't think Jesus approves. It really is a mixed bag, though, and the negative elements are very vocal and visible. That pretty comprehensively sums up the plight of the Hmong refugees in the US since the end of the conflict in SE Asia. Not just them, of course. This hits on a reality that there is an economic cost to harboring refugees. Some places are impoverished, and it is truly a burden. The US could afford to do more, but does not have the will to. Europe is in better shape than much of the world, and seems to be more accepting than what I'm seeing here. I'll point out that this is what makes Mango Mayhem's response to immigration particularly callous (well, beyond the kids in cages thing), he effectively dumps the problem on Mexico, which while not exactly impoverished, is by no means as flush with resources as the US. Yeah, I suspect everywhere else is bad, too, but I mostly see what happens in my back yard. And now, the Internet, which promised to spread knowledge, rapidly disseminates ignorance. That is a thing here, too. Black families often avoid calling the police, because they expect a bad outcome. A woman will endure abuse, rather than having her husband shot. There is a sense of 'every dark person is a suspect'. We are in an era where the by the book people, be it a religious or secular tome of ideology, are increasingly in charge, see their way as the only way, and have a willingness to enforce that way. Accommodating others is seen as weakness.

I wonder if there is more than one Lord Tedd in a multiverse? Why wouldn't there be?

NP Comic for Thursday, Oct 5, 2023 EGS, now featuring nudidity! I wonder who Ashley pictures as her professor?

Notably, Lord Tedd is wearing a gauntlet similar to the video game glove Tedd modified, and later found out he didn't need. Perhaps this implies Lord Tedd has not progressed as far as Tedd in understanding his capabilities; too distracted by conquest. Also, where is Edward in Lord Tedd's universe? Seemingly not present, was he a victim of Damien, General Shade Tale, or Lord Tedd? Or is he in hiding? Or even the puppet master behind it all? Not a great universe to dwell in, I think.

I have it on good authority that shit happens, so you should be good in the long run. More practically, fresh fruit may be helpful. If keeping fruit is an issue, try prunes and dried figs. They both keep well. The 2nd shingles shot to complete the sequence is worth it. From what I've heard of shingles, I don't ever want first hand experience.
