  1. Poll: Your Favourite Main Character

I voted for Elliot, because I honestly like him the most, but it was painful to do because his name is misspelled in the poll. I can't stand misspelled names.
  2. What Are You Watching?

    RWBY.
  3. Videogame Thread

Haha, you'll be doing a LOT of grinding between the 7th and 8th Gyms.
  4. The Association Game

    Do. Not. Blink.
  5. Story: Friday March 11 2016

What, like Pokémon? Wizards can only learn four spells from other people and they must forget one of their old spells if they want to learn a new one? ...That actually sounds pretty hilarious. Terribly inconvenient, but hilarious. Well, perhaps not more powerful than all of them combined, but yes, I'm sure Noriko is the strongest user of Earth magic in EGS. I wonder if even Grace, after having mastered all of her powers and Greg's teachings, would be a match for her. You're probably right, unless of course there are no elves in their world. Remember, Ancients seem to have a somewhat different set of rules from immortals, and Raven himself gave me the impression that elves are very rare. Perhaps Ancients have agreed to not mix with humans at all. As for Cranium, we know she has at least one psychic ability (being able to see places without actually being there herself), so perhaps she is powerful in a different way from Edward and Wolf. Telekinesis, illusions, hypnosis, mind-reading, heck, maybe even Sarah's spell are all things I'd expect a magic user named Cranium to be able to use. Good point. I wonder, does hereditary magic really make a mage more powerful, or are Muggle-borns capable of everything the pure-bloods are in EGS? I certainly hope so, and I certainly hope that the griffins haven't been taught to believe in pure-blood supremacy! Yep, those royals are starting to sound more and more like Death Eaters. The only difference is that they apparently really are more powerful than other magic users in their world and that they (hopefully) aren't discriminatory.

    Oh good, it's fixed.
  7. Story: Friday March 11 2016

I don't think Nanase's mother's family (not the Kitsune family, btw - that name comes from Nanase's father) originated in the griffins' half of the world. I believe their family just happens to be a particularly powerful bunch of wizards and mages. I know Tara said Nanase's aura "radiates royalty", but if she is used to seeing only royals with auras as magical as Nanase's, that may not mean much in this half of the world. Who knows, maybe she would think ALL powerful wizards in EGS (Edward, Raven, Wolf, Cranium) are royalty before being told otherwise. Perhaps her half of the world, as odd as it sounds, has far less magic users than we originally thought or then I am completely wrong and Nanase's mother has kept even more secrets from her daughter. Also, Nanase isn't even a wizard, because she can't learn other people's spells. I've always considered wizards to be far superior to mages in EGS, but now I see that it might not be that simple.

If Elliot had fought the Vampider, he would have had to kill him. Elliot has never killed anyone before. Tara obviously has more experience than Elliot in dealing with monsters and killing, so I think we should be thankful that Elliot didn't get to try his luck against the Vampider even if he could have beaten him.
  9. What Are You Watching?

    The Legend of Korra.
  10. NP Friday March 11, 2016

Me neither. It makes no sense, especially after such a long time.
  11. Story: Thursday, March 3, 2016

    Haha, I don't doubt it.
  12. The Association Game

    Death, destruction and broken dreams.
  13. NP Friday March 11, 2016

Grace probably hasn't even tried to use the glove, so it may not be just a figure of speech. Then again, why would she even try it if it works the same way as the watches?
  14. Story: Thursday, March 3, 2016

I wouldn't call that a pun. It was more like a joke.
  15. NP Friday March 11, 2016

Could someone ask Dan about that page?
  16. Story: Thursday, March 3, 2016

These ideas actually sound plausible. Still, until we are told otherwise, I choose to believe that Cheerleadra isn't an actual cyborg now and can only receive phone calls when merged with her phone, nothing more. Why yes, I am a bit of a killjoy. Can't help it, sorry.
  17. Story: Friday March 11 2016

Okay, not literally everywhere, but certainly in every universe. I think Tara really didn't know the answer to her question, but she also guessed that she would most likely prefer not to know it.
  18. NP Friday March 11, 2016

Because Grace had to explain how Tedd makes the watches? What Sarah actually asked was why does Grace need Tedd for making the watches. That doesn't necessarily mean she hasn't seen Tedd's glove before, she may just not have realized that Grace can't use it. This page! I am certain without a doubt that it used to be three panels longer. The first missing panel had Tedd exclaiming "Let's see what you are!", the second panel had him looking shocked and the third panel was the huge whale from his POV. Heck, read the commentary! It's obvious that something's not right.
  19. What's in the Lost and Found?

    My faith in humanity.
  20. The Association Game

    Dedenne, use Nuzzle!
  21. What Are You Ingesting?

Pistachios. They are my not-so-secret weakness.
  22. NP Friday March 11, 2016

Honestly, I'm not nearly as worried about Tedd's watch-making glove than I am about his gauntlet he made to store magical energy and then give it all back to him at once. Still, I guess it'll be interesting to find out if either of those things have anything to do with his "dangerous rarity"... We really need a proper word for him. I don't like him calling himself a mutant, and we know he is most definitely not a wizard. Edit: What the heck?! I clicked Scotty's gauntlet link, and I'm 100% sure that there used to be more to that comic than there is now. Did Dan cut out that page's last three panels for some reason? When did that happen? I read through the entire archive only a few weeks ago and those panels were still there back then.
  23. Story: Friday March 11 2016

You think fairy Nanase is adorable, Ashley? You should see yourself. I'm very much looking forward to Dan explaining just where the heck those griffins are from that has magical human royalty and griffin knights and that still considers the laws of physics somewhat useful if breaking them is so rare. Hey, for all we know, familiars might not be uncommon in their half of the world. Of course, perhaps their familiars aren't created, so... yeah. Anyway, I don't see a reason why Nanase would suddenly start explaining all of her friends' abilities to Tara and Andrea, when they are the ones who promised answers to Elliot. It's possible, but I don't think so. If all the sci-fi I've watched has taught me anything at all, it's the fact that humans are found everywhere in every universe. I remember someone suggesting in the old forums that the griffins' homeworld might not have any humans or that humans are the griffins' pets or something, but I never believed those theories for a second. It was obvious to me that Tara and Andrea knew what humans are because Tara knew about "Ancients" and they look very much like humans. Then again, Tara doesn't seem to know everything about humans and their behavior, since she had to ask if having large mammaries gave humans an advantage in battle.

I was making a reference to one of my current favorite cartoons, but yes, you have a point. Very much agreed.
  25. Story: Thursday, March 3, 2016

I think you guys are taking the whole "merging with her phone" a bit too literally. Thanks for the laughs, though.
