  1. Favorite Quotes

"Pokémon not bad guys! Pokémon do bad things because Master bad!" - Jessie's Ekans, Island of the Giant Pokémon Of course, the quote itself is obsolete after twenty years, but it's still one of my all-time favorite episodes.
  2. What Are You Ingesting?

    Cereals.
  3. What Are You Watching?

I finally went to see Zootopia. It was awesome, well worth all the hype and every good thing I'd heard about it was true. Definitely the best Disney movie since Frozen (not that there are many inbetween, but still). I couldn't have been more wrong when I thought it was going to be as bad as Chicken Little when I first heard about it months ago. I may not be as prejudiced against any future movies about talking animals now.
  4. The Association Game

    Exit, pursued by a bear.
  5. The Association Game

InfiniteRemnant hurt itself in its confusion!
  6. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

Oh? This conversation is drawing to a close already? I was expecting a lot more questions from both sides, but now that I think about it, I suppose they already said everything important at the moment. Plus, now that they've agreed to meet again in four weeks, there will be time to both think of new questions and possibly come up with some answers for the griffins. One thing I regret, however, is Tara not getting the chance to tell Diane why she is a potential vampire hunter. I suppose that is up to Nanase and Ellen now, and unfortunately I don't see them as too willing to tell Diane anything before they've told Susan about her first and unless Elliot convinces them otherwise, that might take far too long too. Nanase might see reason, but if Ellen still insists on keeping quiet, someone needs to slap her. Grace would be a good choice, but sadly she's not an option in this case. I doubt Nanase would be able to contact the griffins' homeworld so easily. I hope I'm wrong. He has? Awesome. About time too (for us, I mean). This has been the longest weekend ever. P.S. Pharaoh, why do you keep misspelling Diane's name? I don't wish to be rude, but it's really bugging me.
  7. Story Wednesday March 30, 2016

Very well. I was only trying to amuse you all with something only the readers of EGS would get, and I trust you understand that I would never have done that on any other day of the year. I apologize, and I will edit my post at once.
  8. Things that make you MAD

I'm so sorry to hear that. Now I feel silly for testing your sense of humor yesterday.
  9. It was just a dumb April Fools prank. Won't happen again.

  11. Now that I can see this, I can say that I definitely approve. Those hips don't lie and I bet Tedd can definitely feel it's right. Those faces look a bit derpy, though. Hmm, maybe they're just stunned from the beam.
  12. Story Wednesday March 30, 2016

A world with griffins, dragons and unicorns? I like the sound of that. But seriously, we can't know for sure that they haven't visited the EGS half of the world for centuries. They may not have a lot of reasons to visit, but they seem to know some things about this side (the mages having spellbooks, immortals having different rules from Ancients) and I bet they come to visit every now and then to learn more, either by quietly observing or contacting DGB. That is, if DGB even knows about the other side of their world.
  13. Things that make you sad.

    Sorry to hear that, Zorua.
  14. The Association Game

The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck.
  15. I Am Not A Werewolf

    I don't think I'm interested, sorry.
  16. Story Wednesday March 30, 2016

I have a feeling that griffins don't exist on the EGS half of the world at all. However, I don't think Andrea and Tara broke any rules by coming to this side. Griffins and humans are clearly equals in their half of the world and since Andrea is a mage scientist, she was an ideal choice to send investigate a magical problem. She was probably told to remain hidden, though.
  17. Looking forward to being able to see these. Especially this pinup sounds like something I'd enjoy.
  18. What Are You Ingesting?

Yeah, it takes some getting used to and I don't eat it very often myself, but I still like it. I don't eat a lot of sweets besides chocolate, I usually prefer salty snacks.
  19. Story Wednesday March 30, 2016

Huh. Apparently even griffins can be distracted by cuteness. I very much doubt Tara was listening to a word Andrea was saying in the flashback. I bet she was just happy to see her all excited and nerdy and adorable. Exactly this. Whenever my best friend talks about video games, it all goes in from one ear and out from the other for me and I suspect it's the same for him when I talk about some things he's not interested in. Granted, this particular information would have been actually useful to Tara if she'd bothered to pay attention to it, but I really can't blame her. I have to agree. In fact, I feel like both this and the previous page were rather pointless. Of course, it's possible that the next page will add more to this conversation and we might learn something new, but I have no idea what was the point of having an entire page devoted to Charlotte correcting Diane's grammar. I get that Dan wanted to show us how the girls were doing, but couldn't he have had them talk about something a bit more relevant?
  20. The Association Game

    Christmas.
  21. What Are You Ingesting?

Salty liquorice. Us Finns love that stuff.
  22. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

Dan has confirmed that at least some vampires look normal when they're not using their powers, so those might need to put up an illusion of normalcy too. Also, even though vampires have no empathy for others whatsoever, I believe most of them would still like to live as comfortably as possible and they would need money for at least some things. I don't think they're invulnerable against forces of nature and just live in forests, streets or mountains when they're not hunting for prey. They're not animals!
  23. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

Looks like I was wrong, pretty much everything is pointing toward Magus and Sirleck now that we know that the vampires might not be showing up just because of the ambient magic. It makes perfect sense on so many levels: 1) Magus needs to distract Helena and Demetrius and immortals hate vampires more than anything 2) Sirleck's host is rich, he can afford to pay all those vampires 3) Magus probably isn't thrilled to work with vampires, but he might not mind it so much since they all seem to end up dead 4) Vampires see each other as competition, so Sirleck doesn't care about getting his own kind killed as long as he gets what he wants in the end 5) Even if we're wrong and the vampires are not working as a team, Magus is still getting what he wants and is just waiting for the right time. I still don't think he's the one who clogged the magic drain, but if he somehow managed to find out about it, his plan might be as simple as waiting for all the vampires to show up and Helena and Demetrius to chase after them, leaving Elliot and Ellen unprotected. Of course, that doesn't explain why he needs Sirleck, so yeah, they're probably paying vampires to go to Moperville.
  24. Story Wednesday March 23, 2016

After reading all of your comments, I think I'm just going to hold off any further judgement until I hear Helena and Demetrius's side of the story. However, if they won't bother to explain themselves or apologize, then I'll just assume that they're jerks with good intentions. Then again, that's pretty much what all immortals are like (except maybe Jerry). Even Pandora just wants to help her son in the end. I think that would be possible only if Magus and Sirleck somehow predicted the magic drain getting clogged or caused it themselves. I'm not sure how powerful Sirleck is, but I have a feeling that stopping magic flowing from one half of the world to the other is a little too much for him and we know Magus can't do much in the spirit plane. I know Magus was working with Pandora for a while, but it couldn't be more obvious that she kept a lot of secrets from him. She didn't even tell him her name until she abandoned him, so I don't think Magus could have figured out her master plan so easily.
  25. What Are You Doing Right Now?

Me too. Now I can finish my MLP binge-watch just in time for Saturday.
