I've seen the duck triad a few more times, they seem to be a pretty solid relationship! :-)

Smokers. I'm allergic, and these people walk down the street creating toxic clouds, stand in front of doorways preventing my entering or exiting, and light up at outdoor concerts and events in places which send their fumes pouring across the entire audience, forcing me to leave and miss the show. I had to quit going to the local RenFaire because I couldn't even get a drink of water on 95 degree days because the line would be engulfed in tobacco toxins. You want to have a bad habit, fine, but keep it out of my air!

Either that, or find a way to make it automatically boot anyone inactive for a certain amount of time, perhaps half an hour.

Spaceball 2: The Search For More Money

Magic was confused. Because the first spell Elliot got was the one the Dewitchery Diamond gave him, ie turning into a girl, Magic thought that turning into a girl was *the* spell that most suited him (because that's normally how things work, the first spell being the most relective of who a person is or what they desire). But the spells kept *not* suiting Elliot, and he kept being unhappy with them, so Magic kept trying harder to make spells that suited him -- but still with the assumption that turning into a girl was the one thing that *definitely* suited him. Magic just couldn't believe that it was wrong about that, so it wound up being central to all the spells Elliot got. Personally, I wonder if that didn't turn out to be a pretty good deal -- Magic kept giving him cooler and cooler spells in its desperate search to find one that could make him happy. He wound up with a superhero spell that has tons of cool add-ons and features, possibly a much more powerful spell than he would have gotten at that point had Magic not been so determined to find a spell he liked. I wonder if the first non-girly spell he'll get is being able to be a male superhero?

About time! And considering he's just gotten some pretty strong reminders to read his spellbook, hopefully he'll find out about this pretty promptly. :-)

A perky dark-haired woman in a blue waitress uniform pops out of a door no one had noticed before next to the kitchen, behind which is a brief glimpse of a white room with circles on the walls. She walks over to the jukebox and pops behind it, muttering in an English accent. "Funny, the Telepathic Translator circuit usually kicks in automatically...." After rummaging in the workings behind the jukebox for another moment, she pops back out, gives a cheery wave, and calls out, "Try it now!" before disappearing back through the door, which everyone present immediately forgets was ever there. Oddly enough, to everyone in the room she sounds as if she is speaking their native language, sounding rather like their favorite schoolteacher from childhood.

Phill has been a minor running gag in EGS fandom for quite a while now. He was only ever seen in one panel, yet people cite his appearance as often as possible and speculate on what he's been up to or when he will return. Probably thanks to his name being right there on his coveralls, making him easy to refer to. Plus, by the Law of Conservation of Detail, any character who the writer bothers to name *should* turn out to be important some day....

This gets us into the territory of "Vanilla is a spice, too!" arguements.

This Red Nose Day video is also both inside and outside the Lost and Found.....

Sounds rather like Degrassi, which granted had a gap between Degrassi Junior High/Degrassi High and the newer version, but made use of some of the same actors/characters in the revival as were in the original series, except in the role of parents and teachers decades later.

Waiting so long, only to win for such a short time....

Not exactly. The world would hopefully start filling up with *inexperienced* superheroes just as fast as it does with *inexperienced* supervillains, perhaps even faster if you subscribe to the "more good people than bad" outlook. People seem to be quick to point out how many bad guys might get powers, but then assume that they'd somehow be more competent more quickly than their good-guy counterparts.

Yeah, if a "surge of emotion" came up, then either Tedd or Elliot could come up with the old "testosterone rush" theory about why Tedd zapped Elliot. Then either Tedd or Ellen could recall how out-of-character (to them) Mr. Verres was acting when he showed up and blasted Abraham....."so...many...conclusions...."
-
I usually use Paint for simple stuff, GIMP for more complex. What settings do I need if I do use GIMP?
-
I can see *Tedd*, or possibly Ellen, jumping to that conclusion. If Mr. Verres isn't there to set them straight, it could become a source of suspicion and distrust.
-
I dunno, there's something to be said for leaving the writer room for future ideas and new directions. Once all of the Maxims are codified, he can't just come up with a new one as the plot/joke demands.

Could you please explain what you mean by this? To me, an alias is a pseudonym, usually used to describe a false name adopted to avoid criminal prosecution. Do we have to post our pictures under a fake name?

Low-quality oven-scrapings and mis-shapen loaves, sold at the end of the day for a fraction of what real bread cost, supposedly known colloquially as 'cake'.

It's only one step (well, maybe one half-step, in a staircase which is chipped and tilted and may give way at any moment) better than the habit soap operas have of writing a woman falling in love with the man who raped her a few seasons ago.

That was apparently at Chicago's BaconFest. The internal diameter of the arteries of those who attended may be in the Lost and Found now, though.
