Panel by Panel Review! Haven't done one of these in forever. Panel 1: Diane continuing to be a voice of reason. Holding yourself up to high standards is never healthy for anyone. Panel 2: Ah, yes. The cultural differences. Panel 3: I think we confirmed that with Hanma a while back. Panel 4: A culture of observers. I'm reminded of the Watchers from Marvel, though the Immortals at least can interfere in a number of circumstances. Also, Voltaire, what are you doing? He's walking with purpose. But what purpose? Panel 5: Simple mirror shot. Panel 6: Is he annoyed by him taking a human appearance? Is it not something he likes? No, probably not, given his draconic form from way back when. ...He'd rather see humans as beneath him, and taking on their form is annoying to him. Commentary: Oh right, that was established. I really need to binge the comic so all the older details from weeks/months/years ago are more fresh in my mind. How far back does it go, again? And ah, the need to monologue, hampered by the lack of someone to monologue at. Pacing in circles while giving your origin story to the hero just doesn't work if there's no hero to pace in circles around.

Comic for Friday, Feb 20, 2026 Saou screwed up: ". . . and in ways you believe I would think helpful." vs ". . . and in ways that are actually helpful." In other words, "Be clear and (at least trivially) honest, but feel free to use my limited perception against me." Maybe mitigated by "No lying by omission", but it seems like excessive wiggle room to me. Also, Voltaire partially transformed into a dragon. Killing Ragnarok was less than fully effective?

At least we got little more details about Voltaire's motivation and plan. Although we still don't know if he actively done something making Arthur more likely to argue for change or if Arthur got into that position on his own. Also, there WAS a third seer, although somehow I doubt he would outargument Arthur.

On the other hand, I suspect plan A would also get much better than expected if the goal was to convince others laws need to be changed ... thousand seers would make sure about that. They would also make sure Voltaire would regret plan A but technically it would work. ... aaand, we finally see Helena and Demetrius, although still no answer to what they were doing during the attack on Adrian. We also see Hanma and two other immortals which certainly wouldn't be important later And I hope those are not supposed to be all immortals. Hmmm ... Pandora realized Susan and Diane are her descendants the moment she realized it's possible. Could other immortals also find their forgotten descendants or it's usually not so obvious?
