Doesn't really look all that fem to me.  Could be the drawing style.  I'm mean it's cute, but hardly worth the angst Tedd was dealing with.

This was never about the harecut.

In a sea of change & worst-case-what-ifs, the civilian barber's work was about the only thing Tedd could control.  So that became the focus of the younger Veres' panic.

It’s not “ looking girly” that Tedd worries about, but rather being harassed for gender-nonconformity.

I can see that, however previous Tedd angst has been over being seen as girly.

"Looking Girly" had been just a teen rebellious phase for Tedd.  

Even with the ability to change genders easily, the time is approaching where Tedd must personally decide whether to present as male or female most of the time. 

Living with Edward, the choice was never Tedd's. 

Once out and independent, the choice is only Tedd's. 

Isn't responsibility fun?
