So the front gives you trouble, and so does the back?

/me adds a star.

mlooney, yeah I get trouble with the front coming and going out if it hangs around for while.  Less than thrilling.

Storm front rolling in.  Actually looks like thunder with in the hour.  Body aches.  This, in general, suck.

You'd "love" it here. Yesterday we looked out at bright sunlight while hearing thunder - then the clouds and rain rolled in - then they rolled out again and we had bright sunlight for the rest of the afternoon - then just before sunset we had another thunderstorm rolling in...

Been in the 90s here for a couple of weeks. Had a couple of overcast cooler days thrown in, low 80s. Walking needs to be done before full sunrise.

Same here.  My A/C is working a little better than it was last year, thankfully.

I have a headache and leg cramps.  There is a front rolling in, but the rain isn't expected until 4ish this afternoon.  Not really happy about this and I'm going to lay down and read stuff (maybe including Discord) and hope that the analgesics kick in.

Ron de Santis has just outlawed all discussion of the weather on account of this being a potentially woke activity. All posters are requested to not show this thread to citizens of Florida as this might implicate them and possibly get them subjected to the death sentence.

The opposite of 'woke' is 'asleep' . . .

The forecast for Idalia is so helpful

The entire west coast of Florida could be hit

Not sure what to think

By the way, because Atlantic Storm names are rotated every 6 years unless retired, Idalia is in the same alphabetical position as Irma from 2017 & Irene from 2011

The I storms are always Interesting and often retired

Ian          2022
Ida          2021
Iota          2020
Irma          2017
Ingrid          2013
Irene       2011
Igor          2010
Ike          2008
Ivan          2004
Isabel          2003
Isidore          2002
Iris       2001
Inez          1966
Ione       1955

Idalia is a massively destructive storm. Made landfall as a Category 3

It missed my home by a good margin, but it hit one of the few places in Florida that had no historical record of being hit by a large hurricane
There aren't many towns in that part of the Sunshine State, but those towns are getting hit hard

Meanwhile in the land of the Manatee, many businesses and services shut down in advance of what could have been.  Now these places will remain closed until tomorrow at least when the only effects we are experiencing currently are drizzle, deep puddles, and a strong breeze
