In Magikal Cards, Ditzified added random chance on whether a player could use the target card or not. I don't think that kind of effect would be useful for using on yourself in this game though.
  2. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

Sirleck should be aware of traffic lights and searchlights from aircraft or just wing/tail light s on aircraft in general. I would think he'd keep up with the latest trends and tech in order to be able to do what he does without raising suspicion. Though Uryuom spacecraft lights might be possible if he's been in the dark about aliens. Another possibility is that Sirleck's talking about the exploding spidervampire from the previous Saturday. Or maybe it's foreshadowing that someone noticed him and he narrowly escaped. Magus doesn't possess bodies on a regular basis, in fact this would be his first time, so he has no prior experience to know for sure how this will affect Elliot, he's basically got the word of an Immortal that he doesn't trust that this procedure won't harm Elliot but that doesn't include affecting memories. I doubt he trusts Sirleck as far as he can throw him so he probably doesn't want to take any chances, though it is possible that Sirleck had confirmed that his hosts are never aware of being possessed. Sirleck's and Magus are employing different methods of possession after all.
  3. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

The fact that Magus wants to be able to explain the situation in case Elliot doesn't remember the whole thing, and I guess this might be confirmation that Ellen won't remember being possessed by Sirleck, gives more evidence that Magus is a good guy just trying to get out of a bad situation.
  4. http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp.php?id=692 Looks like Rhoda's got all three types on her, Dog for animal, Cheerleader outfit for the clothing, and she still has busty for the physical.

Hmm, maybe I misjudged where the reader's perspective would be coming from.
  6. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

Voltaire probably got involved there because he expects that once Pandora finds out that Sirleck sent vampires after her son, she'd go ballistic and hunt him down, and probably in the process cause enough damage that she's forced to reset. The attack on Raven is very likely going to top what happened the week before and could very well be what causes Magic to change. Also if Raven is killed it'll probably have a ripple effect that's not exclusive to just Pandora, depending on how things go, it could very well affect Tedd considering he just recently found out Raven is his godfather. Edward and Raven aren't currently on good terms but that might still affect Edward in a way that could also affect Tedd. Heck even with what's happening with Sirleck, Ellen, Elliot and Magus is going to affect Tedd. Basically it seems like Plan CM is to try to set as much crap in motion that has the potential of affecting Tedd so that if Magic changes, Tedd's second purpose (whatever it is) can be exploited.
  7. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

I think Dan is going to address why Elliot wasn't turned female and instead blond in upcoming comics or else he wouldn't have been all "because a wizard did it" in the commentary. I think Dan was just being silly there and it is a pretty simple explaination, like all of Ellen's beams (the ones that use a visible transformation beam that is) mimic the TFG's beam and so would work just as well for the purpose of getting Magus into Elliot's body as the FV5 beam.
  8. Computer General Discussion and Tech Help

It's possible that the USB stem for the flash drive has been damaged in some way. It's probably not possible to repair it yourself as it would involve trying to resolder pins which would likely cause further damage if you're not absolutely careful. I don't know how much it would cost to repair the drive or recover the data for a new drive though, but if you must have that data, it's probably best to get someone who works with this kind of thing on a regular basis.
  9. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

Not really because he wouldn't be able to keep up the charade without raising anyone suspicions, and that's already happened after Nanase realizes that Ellen lied about the voyeur and didn't show up to meet her. Ellen lying about something like that would be completely out of character and then when Ashley wakes up and tells Nanase what happened (she didn't see it, but she heard Elliot say Ellen's name and then heard the zap and suddenly Elliot was blonde and put her to sleep) it's already got the potential of Sirleck having to quickly take Magus' body and disappear for a while which may be difficult if Immortals get involved and maybe Abraham would be able to track him down as well like he was able to with Ellen. Hmm, maybe that's what Magus is counting on, Pandora did say that Abraham would be an adversary in the future, but maybe he hopes that Abraham would detect Sirleck and destroy him while keeping in mind that Magus might not be a monster like Ellen wasn't.
  10. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

I really doubt Raven is the ultimate host for Sirleck, for one, Sirleck's plan for distracting Helena and Demetrius involves having a large number of aberrations attack Raven with the intent to kill him. Some think that Sirleck expects Raven with survive the attack but be left weak enough to not be able to resist possession, but I think there still too much risk involved, also the fact that Raven's too high profile in the Immortal circle, Jerry knew about him how many others would? So possession might get noticed and even considering Raven's behaviour, his charity work and teaching job, if any of that changes for any reason, it might raise suspicion. Sirleck needs a host that can fly under the radar, his hosts in the past were probably such that they fit his own personality so anything he did or could do would just appear to others as the host just going about they way they always did. Magus gave the tempting offer that he's a complete nobody in this world but with the ability to do things others can't, so it would make sense for Sirleck to want to take possession of Magus. The flaw in Sirleck's plan for possessing Magus, even after splitting himself from Elliot, is it's very likely Elliot would attempt to interfere with Sirleck's plan. Heck the whole this so far has the potential of the Main Eight getting in the way along with Edward, Helena and Demetrius, Jerry2.0 and Pandora as well once word got out. Magus probably has his own plan for dealing with Sirleck as well once he has his own body so it's probably not going to end well for the body snatcher.
  11. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

I think he's only talking to Ashley, but referring to both Elliot and Ellen being returned unharmed.

  13. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

That would fit with Ellen(Sirleck) just getting home a moment ago if several hours had passed since the end of school, might even explain the rush Ellen(Sirleck) was in to get Nanase the message and leave, oh wait, It was a 3 hour trip to the facility...although was that 3 hours round trip, or 3 hours there, 3 back for a total of 6 hours? 3 hours round trip might be doable, or maybe Sirleck moved it closer while possessing the butler?
  14. NP, Monday November 13, 2017

Yeah, well... I think it's a combination of Ashley's leg first, Rhoda's leg behind that, and you can barely see Catalina in the back.
  15. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

Yeah, even with Magus's dialog in the last two panels it certainly seems like Magus is trying to not do any harm, and probably hints that he does have a plan. Well see what Wednesday brings, but the fact that Sirleck didn't immediately jump to Magus(Elliot) might mean that Sirleck's waiting for Magus to touch the diamond. So that would rule out the idea of Ellen being left unconscious with Ashley. Again though it might change on Wednesday. Dan might be talking (typing) silly, and might be thinking "I just did an NP demoing a number of Ellen's spells, the readers will surely guess that it doesn't have to specifically be the FV5 beam, the other beam based spells still mimic the TFG" Of course, that's what I think Dan's thinking because that's what I'm thinking.
  16. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

We don't know if Ellen(Sirleck) told Elliot about the voyeur and plans for Elliot to drive her to meet Nanase. Like I said previously, Elliot may not have seen Ellen since the morning and Ellen(Sirleck) had just then come home. Considering when we saw Ashley arrive she had her coat on while Elliot didn't, if Elliot picked Ashley up, we should have them both initially wearing their coats to indicate they both arrived at Elliot's. and since Elliot heard the garage door opening, it's safe to assume Ellen had the car, strengthening the idea that Elliot hadn't seen Ellen since the morning.
  17. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

I meant more in how the characters themselves deal with it as part of their development. Will Ellen be able to shrug off the feeling of helplessness as she watched herself zapping Elliot and getting taken by another being? Or will she spiral into depression over it? What's happening now to me feels like a worse experience than the events of Painted Black and Sister 2 combined, and it really wouldn't just be Ellen that is scarred by it, but Elliot and also Tedd would probably be affected the most. I want to think that Dan won't have them get any lasting negative effects from this and that it only makes them stronger later, but I'm not sure. At the very least the "Before" page could be in the break between the last 2 classes of the day and the "After" would be at the end of school and everyone's getting ready to go home, with the reveal of Francine being a minute or so after we saw Ellen run off. If it was the end of school, that certainly would confuse Nanase if her and Ellen normally hung around afterwards, although... doesn't Ellen still drive Grace to and from school? I wonder if Grace noticed anything odd if she did.
  18. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

On this page, we have Ellen talking about their plans and how they'd have to take the downstairs TV and poking fun at Nanase still being suspicious of Ashley, I certainly believe she's not possessed at this point. Cut ahead 2 pages, and suddenly Ellen's changing plans and running off in a hurry. Nanase thought it was strange, but I don't think she was suspicious at that point, but it is apparent to us now that Ellen was not acting herself. So it's clear that Sirleck to control of Ellen during the break between those pages. What also seems apparent is there doesn't seem to be any struggle to maintain control, so Sirleck must have Ellen's consciousness locked down pretty good, how though is unknown, she'll either be completely blacked out during the ordeal, or it'll be like she's locked in a glass box, able to see everything that's happening but unable to do anything about it. The latter would certainly be a traumatic experience for anyone, so the question is, how does Dan plan on addressing it?
  19. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

If Francine doesn't remember anything, one scenario I see happening would be her waking up, stumbling out of the bathroom because she's still weak from being possessed, Brad (the other Janitor) finds her and asks her where's she's been, she said she doesn't remember most of the day but feels very ill, they probably see the school nurse (I'm assuming a school of a couple thousand probably has some medical facility in case of injury or illness) who will probably say that Francine hasn't been getting enough iron in her diet or something and it caused her to pass out. Brad offers to take Francine home, and soon the two of them are dating and living happily ever after (assuming neither of them are already married or seeing anyone).
  20. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

Since Sirleck exists on another plane of reality, it's possible that the tendrils don't physically interact with the host and that it's probably more of an exhange of energy that allows Sirleck to manipulate his hosts and live off them. So no actual damage may be done to the host. The interaction may still have other side effects like leaving the host drained of energy, and if there's a headache, that could still be caused by having their mind hijacked magically rather than physically. Magus' Amplifications also had a tendency to leave a person with a headache and disoriented. As for memories, either Francine won't remember a thing about that day, or she'll be having a tough time convincing people that she's not crazy. Ellen would at least have friends to help her if she does remember the whole thing, but I think it's too soon to tell yet.
  21. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

Indeed she is. And there is an excellent reason to use exactly the first spell she got: That is the only spell she had when Magus tried to get her to zap Elliot at Grace's birthday party. Anything more brings up the possibility of unwanted side-effects or total failure. A list of visible hand usage: Both hands double FV5 Left hand copy Right hand scan, left hand paste Left hand scans and determines sex in fusion paste Both hand scan, Left also determines sex for melting pot Left hand Flashlight Right hand shrink beam Right hand Vulcan salute Right hand shrink with Vulcan salute Both hands to combine effects Both hands to combine effects, Left hand Vulcan salute to resize clothing Right hand thumb in Both hands AOE Seems like unless using both hands to amplify of combine spells, Ellen uses her right hand to fire TF beams normally. Hand gestures only modify the effect of the beam, Vulcan salute allows for clothing to be resized during FV5 or not resized for shrinking and thumb in lowers the power of the beam for precision transformations (like not transforming a person in close proximity to the target). Also I was thinking that the hand gestures were exclusively right handed, but then I took a closer look at Ellen shrinky FV5ing Susan and it's her left hand that's doing the vulcan salute. So they don't seem to be exclusive but Ellen tends to use her right hand most of the time for 1 handed beams soo...
  22. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

I linked the page of Ellen's demo that shows that she could change only the hair colour, a couple pages later shows that she can combine the effects using Blonder and FV5 as an example, these are all canon and it's implied that these are just a few of the things Ellen could do, meaning she's likely not restricted to only blonde hair, but considering the result of Magus getting into Elliot shows blonde hair it's either the default, or maybe Magus requested it*? (*that one might be pushing it)
  23. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

Yeah the whole "don't kill anyone but the target" seems like something Magus would insist upon, maybe he expects Adrian to be able to successfully defend himself, but there's no evidence that he's aware that Adrian is the target. Though if he is aware, he might hold back that info in the hopes that not only would Pandora take out Sirleck in her rage, but that her rage would cause her to break Immortal Law and have the other Immortals force her to reset. Two birds with one stone. Mind you considering the Aberrations are allowed to go after vampire hunters that kinda puts a snag into Magus's desire to stick to one potential death. But then again according to their last conversation, Magus' original plan was to have some aberrations in Moperville to distract Helena and Demetrius, and then Sirleck altered that plan to bring in more aberrations. Magus is again showing that he doesn't like it by expressing that he's responsible for anyone they hurt.
  24. NP Friday Nov 11 2017

While we do see Rhoda's roll as being a 5 and 2, Catalina could have rolled a 6 and 1 or a 4 and 3. If Dan plans on drawing the dice each time he shows player pieces moving then we'll probably see Catalina's dice on Monday. If it was another 5 and 2 though....I'd question Dan's ability to shake dice.
  25. Story, Friday November 10, 2017

I guess it is also possible that it wasn't the FV5 beam being used, and Sirleck simply used one of Ellen's many minor transformation beams, like Blonder!
