http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2362 Yay for hugs!!! So if "Box" isn't going to tell Adrian until Saturday, who else is she going to talk to? Tedd? Edward? Someone else? Crap's supposed to hit the fan on Friday which means Adrian's supposed to be attacked before Pandora will get a chance to tell him. I hope he doesn't get killed before she is able to tell him, I can't imagine what would happen if he did.

Box probably is the best chance of getting Ellen to willingly zap Elliot, Box knows what Magus needs to happen to get back into the physical realm, Sarah is in a position to believe her as well because Box really doesn't look like she wants to mess up what they have going right now. It does depend how Friday pans out though, if Adrian survives but Magus fails again, I had theorized about it before that Pandora might decided to make up for her jerking Magus around the way she did before by just helping him like he had asked.

Have some Corb Lund to help with that.

Pinup Tuesday June 20, 2017 (Double - What If)

Diane's a closet geek, we've seen her geek out about magic on few occasions now, especially if it pertains to Nanase. I can see this being a natural reaction for Diane, Charlotte thought does seem a bit disoriented though, maybe she was too close to Diane and got caught in the zappage by accident? -
There's also Grace hugging Tedd and then cuddling in best the rest of the night, seems to happen often I think. Also, Tedd hugging Elliot and Grace (with Sarah joining) after the return from The Nest. A little later, Sarah and Elliot. Ellen tacklehugging Grace, Grace also hugged Ellen several times the first couple days of school, Grace also hugged Rhoda and Diane. Grace tackleglomped Tedd apparently numerous times. Also for both Grace and Ellen, we shouldn't forget that photos exist. I know there's more, but it's late and I can't get lost in another archive dive. lol

Yeah, but Sirleck's task was to distract the two immortals who are watching Elliot. Earlier that night, Voltaire had Abner contact Sirleck to inform him that the vampire distraction was working. Then shortly after, we have Voltaire pretending to be Abner to feed Sirleck the tidbit about Adrian, and Voltaire didn't say anything about mother or father, just that one of them has a half human kid. There was nothing about that call that suggests that Voltaire was referring to anyone other than Helena and Demetrius. Beside later we have Sirleck going over the plan to have vampires attack Adrian, he states "those two immortals must be distracted.

Yes, Sirleck knows about Pandora, he DOESN'T know that Adrian is HER son.

Eh, I just wanted an excuse to make a collage of Sarah being hugged. I kind of think the old man Sirleck was riding was smarter. Not nicer, but smarter, because he probably made most of the large fortune Sirleck didn't have time (or enough smarts) to loot. There is the fact that Sirleck thinks that Adrian belongs to one of the Immortals who are watching Elliot, who've also been improperly (or forced to) reset in the past year or so, so he doesn't think they are a threat to him. That's why he's being brave, because he's an idiot. If he had mentioned Adrian to Magus, Magus would be all "Are you insane!? That's Chaos' son!" and Sirleck would likely make his host crap themself.

There are probably others, but I can't recall if Ellen was ever seen hugging Sarah, pretty certain neither Justin nor Nanase have hugged Sarah as well. I mean Sarah's hugged Nanase, but I was specifically looking for cases where Sarah was the one being hugged instead of doing the hugging.

Stature was saying what if Ellen couldn't separate her fingers into the Vulcan salute? I mean, Shatner was known to have difficulty doing so. I'd guess that different gestures might have different results, or just not work, and so RIP clothes.

It's probably what happened back in Egypt as well, but it was easier to blame it on the gods.

Not necessarily, the "fusion paste" spell wasn't immediately after the "scan/paste" spell. Althought that was because Dan wanted to keep people from speculating abilities being copied or mixed. I guess if Dan felt the need to clarify anything from this page, it could be whether or not she can grow people. Now that I think of it though, the comic specifically said "shrink ray" which would mean this particular spell can only shrink people and stuff. So it probably would have to be a separate spell that allows Ellen to make people and stuff bigger.

Not sure how I feel about this. I seem to be having trouble determining if this reads as spirits brewed by cats, or spirits brewed with cats...by cats... I think it's bed time. -
I was about to say it wouldn't but I double checked the comic where Grace explains it to Sarah and I guess "about 26% bigger" is considered double size. So assuming Ellen can grow someone bigger, she probably could.

Kinda silly thing to notice, but when Pandora was talking to Heka, I had originally thought they were sitting on stone chairs, but I just noticed a crease in the seat by Heka's left leg, those chairs a cushioned!!! Probably very comfortable too...Come to think of it, that whole scene looks like a late night talk show.

Did you get a response back? I'm not sure if this tweet counts as a yay or nay on the subject. -
The TFG's limit might be comparable to hardware limits in computing, like 16bit vs 32bit vs 64bit architecture, Tedd being able to get past the limit on the TFG may require him being able to completely redesign it.
-
Yeah yeah, my brain just suddenly decided it couldn't remember that....

That's why I said it wasn't extra chromosomes, but extra bits inside the chromosome, The idea being that Immortals/Fairies have the same number of chromosomes that Humans do, thus making them compatible for reproduction, but their chromosomes has some extra stuff that defines how they're Immortals/Fairies, and that gets passed along to Elves, then Elves pass it along to their offspring and so on until there's no physical evidence of Human relation to Immortals/Fairies, but the magical connection is still there.

http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2361 HUG HER, SARAH!!!!
-
That's basically what I was getting at.

That's why I added the mutation possibility, like maybe Tedd did get the Wizard genes from Edward and Noriko, but there was a mutation which had unexpected results for Edward and Noriko. The mutation isn't completely random though like some sort of environmental condition triggering it, but because it's magic based it could have some strict conditions that maintain it's rarity. Heka mentions that while seers are rarities among rarities, Tedd isn't the only one, how many seers there are in the world is unknown, but it could be 5, 50, 5000 out of 7 billion, 5000 could still be considered very rare. But the fact that seers are born from the right mix of ancestry in both parents does reinforce the idea that it's genetic in some way. maybe it's not so much an extra chromosome that determines it, but rather an extra bit in the genetic code of all chromosomes. This could go along with Vorlonagent's "waveform" idea in that this extra bit in the chromosome might not mean much to anything, unless the chromosome gets paired with another that has the same extra bit or something.

Whether or not there's any physical development during this time, the analogy still stands, it's a period of time where the freshly reset Immortal gets their basic nature, plus anything their previous self deemed important to carry over, all sorted out. As well as having the upside of not needing someone to change their diapers for several years. I might have had that reversed, I didn't mean that her personality shifted to fit the form, but the form shifted to fit how she was feeling at that particular moment. Granted, her still being a child with Sarah could easily be because she's feeling small and vulnerable, but at the same time the context of what she's talking about makes me feel like she's acting more mature, like she's realized she needs to take responsibility for the things she's done, that seems more fitting for a teenager or young adult that had just realized how much their rebellious behaviour has hurt people. Could be just me thinking that though.

Both Rhoda and Dan called it a side effect, though for us it can easily be a bonus. I think a lot of this has to do with Dan's treatment of the tea in pinups, the more you drink, the greater the effect. Yeah those are non-canon and most likely exaggerations, but that hasn't stopped people from thinking it can be applied to canon. Yeah, I think there is a hard limit to how small someone can be shrunk or grown, though I would expect that if the shrink soda alone didn't get Amanda to 1/7th size, Rhoda's enchantment on it probably could have finished the job.
