I think the original shrink spell she cast on Catalina was one she didn't know she could do as well because she wasn't sure she could and basically hoped for it to work, being able to resize herself any way she did know because she even said she did some testing with it, so basically we have the original mark spell, the resize scale (seems to be an upgraded version of the original that includes clothing) spell, the resize proportions spell, and the disguise spell which is probably her first spell not related to size, but is at least related to back when she didn't want to be recognized as the girl on TV when the creepy little girl appeared. Hmm this raises the question of when did Pandora mark Rhoda? Was it just prior to her appearance on TV, like mark then "HA HA HA HA!" in which case Rhoda might have been the first person marked in Pandora's plan to make magic public? Or did she mark Dex first, then Justin, and then Rhoda while Rhoda was telling Justin that she might have a distorted perception of scale? Anyway, Rhoda's already been confirmed by Pandora as being more talented than she thought she was, it's possible Rhoda has more tricks that she doesn't know about yet, she doesn't really know how gaining new spells works either, she likely thinks that if she's already cast a couple new spells already then maybe she can try casting anything she can think of. For the sake of hijinks, one possible scenario would be Rhoda firing off a spell just as Kitty tackled her, thus being in close physical contact to create a new link between Kitty and Rhoda, whether that link is an extension of the one already between Rhoda and Catalina or not is another thing but for hijinks two links are better than one.

Yeah, if there's a connection between today's page and the one from Sister II, I'm missing it. The Obi Wan reference would be refering to Ellen thinking that Elliot would have to pull a "these aren't the droids you are looking for" handwave to convince people that his cover story is solid. That doesn't seem to be the same as frantically yelling "interpret that in a good way!" Unless of course Ellen expects Elliot to end up doing something like that.

I think he picks and chooses what he references and what he parodies in canon, can't find the direct comic that has the poster of it, but there's Smash Goons Melee or Brawl or whatever that Grace likes to play, which is parodying Super Smash Brothers. While they don't actually say the name of the game Grace is playing on the road trip in Hammerchlorians, the fact that 3 real movies are referenced makes me think that the game has to be one of the Mario Bros games and not some parody of them, it'd be weird if 1 of the 4 princesses mention was just a parody. Next is a Fallout 3 reference, which is more confirmed as a reference through Dan's commentary rather than in comic, but it is later confirmed the Fallout franchise is canon in EGS because Justin used the Vault Boy avatar for instant messenger. Then we have Legends of Celida of course as a parody. And Skyrim is canon, and finally we have Pokemon which George plays throughout the card tournament which the card game itself is a parody of Magic: The Gathering. Honestly though, it nice that Dan didn't try to come up with parody names for all the games referenced in EGS, it does make it seem like the EGS universe is an alternate reality to ours where there's some stuff that's familiar but others that give the idea that things went elsewhere. In the case of Zelda and Celida, it probably could be seen as a reference to the fact that clones of popular games also exist in EGS.

Well we are talking about teenagers, also, Mr. Dunkel's reaction when Elliot first went to his parents as a girl. Coming back a day later to ask if she could sleep over at Tedd's house, I imagine the first thing to pop into Mr. Dunkel's mind might have been that Elliot being a girl might have made her fall in love with Tedd. Because we have sooo many instances of Tedd Elliot shipping. And we have the fact that on the same night in an alternate reality, Ellen is sleeping over at Tedd's. OK, so an idea I just had might still be considered pinup material, it could also be possible sketchbook material along the lines of of the "EGS Soccer team" set. Since Dan's current patreon funding allows for 2 doubles, would it be possible to get a suggestion of "Sarah and Ashley playing volleyball" as well as "f!Tedd and Heidi playing volleyball" to get 1st and 2nd in the poll with the hopes that Dan would draw them in such a way that you could put the images side by side and have the net in the middle?

I'm not going to argue that there's many reasons to hide an aspect of one's self, I'm just basing it off the flashback of Susan trying to chop her hair off, and the fact that her dad was the one that chose the name Tiffany and her mom chose Susan, that Susan was trying to bury everything about her that would remind her of her dad and the woman he was having an affair with.

Sarah could easily have just waited till she got to school to tell Elliot about it. Maybe the texts are to at least give Elliot a heads up that Tedd's not doing too good. Or maybe Tedd's refusing to go to school and they need Elliot to go over talk to him. I just feel that the texts are Tedd related because anything else Grace and Sarah could tell him, Sarah could do so before class anyway.

I'm thinking they wanted to tell Elliot about the state Tedd's now in and to see if he could say anything to help make Tedd feel better or something? Both Grace and Sarah know that Elliot has been Tedd's best friend for years, and while Grace is Tedd's girlfriend and has been a very important part of Tedd's life in the past year in terms of helping Tedd understand himself better, if nothing Grace could think of could cheer Tedd up, she might think Elliot would have some luck, Sarah probably feels the same way. the fact that both had texted Elliot could mean they might have thought about asking his help after Grace and Tedd went back home.

It's quite possible Elliot's parents have let him sleep over at Tedd's house before on a Friday or Saturday night while male.

What I'm saying is, the Tiffany personality is still there, Susan's just suppressed it, and on rare occasions, Tiffany manages to peak through as was the case of when Susan was admiring her hair, but then the nuture side reminded Susan what the blonde hair meant and so Tiffany got pushed back into the corner again. The sad thing is, since Grace's birthday, Susan had been making a lot of progress with opening up to people and not judging by gender and even attempting to not be afraid of physical contact that it was possible that the Tiffany personality was being allowed to come back, and then the bombshell about Diane gets dropped on her and the thought that her dad had been cheating before she was even born possibly ruined some of that progress. It could be, shorten Katherine to Kat and Kitty could be derived from that which would still count towards name based affinity.

The plan to rescue Elliot from The Nest was called "Operation Zelda" and I don't see that being a reference to anything else but Legend of Zelda especially considering the chapter title page is one big Legend of Zelda reference.

Yeah there is certainly those things to consider. I'd definitely want to go deeper into the "I just don't feel like 'me'" reasoning so that I could try to understand where they're coming from, but I've known a couple people that have said "I wanna" to getting a tattoo and regretting it later. Augmentations are by far more involved and expensive and could have more complications. A person shouldn't consider it because "it might be nice".

It's not just EA though, Activision-Blizzard, Zenimax-Bethesda, Ubisoft, etc all get accused of rushing products out the door to cash in on hype regardless of whether that product is ready or not, and in some cases, aren't transparent about aspects of development. No Man's Sky probably wouldn't have had such a backlash on release if the devs had said ahead of time that some of the features they promised wouldn't be ready by the release date.

To each their own, of course, personally though D's are probably the limit for my tastes. I'm fine with smaller too so if someone like Sarah was to ask my opinion on if they should get augmentations, I'd say that they're fine as is, if it's a confidence thing, they shouldn't need to have big boobs to feel confident. On the flip side, I'd be more supportive of getting reductions because there are many health related reasons for doing so.

That's a bit harsh isn't it? At the very least find one where EA focused on making sure consumers had good experiences rather than focusing on making a profit.

We know that the EGS universe isn't "just like our world, but with magic and aliens". It's close though, but the fact that Naperville becomes Moperville. Dragonheart becomes Dragonliver, and Legend of Zelda becomes Legend of Celida, although I'm pretty sure Zelda was acknowledged to exist in the comic as well so maybe Celida is a parody game and Nintendo doesn't throw around copyright claims as agressively. The point is, Dan's acknowledge the fact that multiple realities exist in ESG, we've seen glimpses of 3 others, one where Elliot is Ellen and in a relationship with a square glasses wearing Tedd. One where Tedd has apparently taken over the world or something. And one where Ellen grows up in a world where Uryuoms helped the Americans fight the revolutionary war and apparently WWII didn't happen the same way either. But anyway, any of the realities could has very major, or very minor differences. Anyone who's watched the TV Series "Sliders" would remember the episode where Quinn thinks he's finally made it back to his home reality, but ironically something had changed during his absence so when something he expected to happen, didn't, he assumed it was just another alternate reality. The Real Life comic also played with alternate realities (because I'm pretty sure Greg Dean was also a Sliders fan) where the characters went to an alternate reality where Ultima Online 2 was never cancelled, was able to buy a copy and even figure out a way to maintain an internet link between realities so that they could play the game.

Aside from maybe this, or this, or this (Susan's Nature side being the aspect of Tiffany). I just think that an affinity isn't an affinity if it isn't hard coded in some way, name based affinity does seem like a grey area as it is either given at the time a name is given, or the affinity is given prior to birth and then the parents are guided into giving an appropriate name at the time of birth, like a little voice saying "Hey, Kitty would be a purrfect name."

But that would suggest that name based affinities could be nullified almost as easy a yearnings, like if Catalina for some reason decided she wanted to answer to a different name a couple years before Pandora found her would Pandora still have noticed a cat transformation affinity but not know it was named based? Or would would the "Girl Formerly Known as Catalina" have a completely different affinity that overwrote the original?

It's possible that heredity takes priority over name, but who knows for sure. Heck as you said, Pandora complained that it didn't make sense at the time she marked Catalina, but I'm betting she's thinking it makes some sense now that she knows about Magic having a will.
