I wonder if Dan intentionally had her mention how far off she was in her prediction as an indication of how far she's gone without reseting. Jerry did say that the older an Immortal gets, the more clairvoyant they become. So as you say, if she's able to predict things with 99.9999% accuracy, then she's gotta be really grasping at straws for something she can't predict, the only thing that's probably keeping her somewhat in check is the fact that she has family which seems to still take priority over trying to find something unpredictable.
  2. What Are You Doing Right Now?

Waiting for pizza to cook in the oven.
  3. All Things Ashley

Back in '93-'94, my dad won $5000 from a superbowl contest thing, he used it to buy an IBM Aptiva which was actually a little more than $5k after taxes and such. Had a 486SX2/50 cpu, win 3.11 and a 350mb HDD
  4. Story Friday July 29, 2016

A couple other reasons Pandora had Nanase go out after Abraham. She knew about Nanase's attachment to Ellen and that she would fight for Ellen if given the chance. Also, aside from Adrian, Nanase was probably the next strongest magic user capable of fighting. Pandora had already alerted Edward at that point, but they wouldn't be able to get there in time to stop Abraham, Pandora couldn't get involved directly herself, so Nanase was the best choice. Though... I guess if you want to get technical, you could say that Pandora put everyone in danger by telling Magus about how to use the Dewitchery Diamond to get back into the physical realm. She must have known that Ellen's creation would get Abraham's attention. We could probably also go as far as say whatever she did nearly 15 years ago that got the the energy clog started that put everyone in danger.
  5. Story Friday July 29, 2016

Yes. In short, she has put a lot of people in danger and didn't care. I can feel sorry for her because of her past, but that doesn't mean I can forgive some of her actions. If she had reset, she would have been more reasonable and warned Adrian about Abraham's attack, even though Adrian saw it coming himself. As for Noah, I still don't get what she would have gained from his death, so I must assume she just wanted entertainment. Still, surely she knew that Noah couldn't beat the dragon because she was cheating by giving Dex so much power that the dragon couldn't be unsummoned, so maybe she really did mean for Noah to die or she simply didn't care. She didn't put anyone in danger, she didn't bring Abraham to MSHS and have him try to kill Ellen. All she can be faulted for is not warning Adrian or Edward about the situation before hand. She did help though, first by placing a fresh disguise back on Adrian, and then by telling Nanase about Ellen having the doll with her. She then finally notified Edward. The part about Noah though. Yeah, Pandora created the pendant and used it to manipulate Dex (whom she also marked) into creating golems and the bulldog dragon, she then marked Justin and lured Noah into a situation where he's have to fight the bulldog dragon. It put Noah, as well as Justin, Elliot, Grace, Greg and Dex in danger at least as they perceived it, but I don't think Pandora felt this would have really harmed anyone, it was more for show.
  6. What are you reading right now?

Twitter. I really shouldn't have done it, but I saw North Korea trending and was like "Oh my, what are they going on about this time?" and the headline was: "North Korea: U.S "crossed the red line", declared war." which, according to the article, North Korea considers the U.S' sanctioning of Kim Jong Un as a declaration of war, but everyone is posting like it was North Korea that declared war so are posting memes and stuff, and there's subgroups that are further misunderstanding it as a hoax and badmouthing the news sources. I can't even, right now....
  7. Things That Are Just Annoying

Makes you wonder if some companies develop software that claims to be easy to use, when if fact it only does just enough to satisfy the computer illiterate, but the real meat of getting a system to run best is at the end of an obstacle course that only the tech savvy can figure out.

Maybe suggest it in the next round of pinup surveys?
  10. Story: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

ANYONE can change someone else with (pre-programmed) TF Gun. Grace is even able to program it. You missquoted again, hehe, but yeah, it would even extend to any of the main cast as just being able to fire it at someone, heck Grace's birthday party is a good example, while Grace and Tedd programmed the forms, each of them got to pull the trigger themselves.
  11. Story: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I think it's more the latter, Disco Wizard is able to manipulate Grace's dream as shown by him getting Grace back into clothes, but he let Grace deal with the teacher with just a bit of help and a suggestion. He probably could have done it himself, but doing it the way he did, probably helped ease Grace into the idea that she is dreaming and so everything else we saw (wizard Nanase, beefy male Sarah, etc) was Grace's imagination showing her attempt to understand what Disco Wizard is saying. Ehhhhh....I think the fact that she can only do that in her dream would make it not count. Sarah can potentially do the same with her spell, but the fact that it'd be simulated wouldn't count either. Elliot could also transform people in his dream whether intentional or not. Both Tedd and Ellen can do it on real people with real results (well real in comic terms). Rhoda is close to being an actual third in that she can manipulate sizes, but not change a person's form completely. Though manipulating size might be enough to count as transforming people.
  12. Story: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Pandora must realize that harming Grace would be harmful to Tedd so she's probably going to be treading carefully here, but she still wanted to know who's been giving Grace information. There are probably things she could do that wouldn't harm Grace though.
  13. All Things Ashley

Considering all instances of internet communication between cast members has been through an instant messenger program, which is text, it would be safe to say that Ashley and her girlfriend also used an instant messenger program. At best they would have had avatars, but there's no guarantee that they'd use actual pictures of themselves, Ashley did say that she dressed up for her "date" despite her girlfriend never seeing what she looked like. I never used a picture of myself for anything the first several years I was online. Then again, as evidenced by my lack of avatar on the forums, I rarely had one for anything aside from games.
  14. Story: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I think they're both bluffing. Well, it would seem that Immortals used to know the ins and outs of Magic, but have forgotten it, probably due to resetting and not carrying this in the "important knowledge" category. Doesn't seem like Pandora either believes what Disco Wizard is saying about Magic having a will of it's own, or doesn't care that Magic has a will of it's own. Very likely the latter.
  15. NP: Monday, July 25, 2016

Nothing about destroying him. Again, nothing about destroying the immortal. The destruction bit is for when an Immortal is left on their own to get powerful and insane enough to bring about their own destruction, what actually happens at that point is unknown except for the fact that it would be very bad if it were to happen in a populated area, it'd likely be related to what the Immortal was doing at the time. Pandora doesn't seem like she's on the path of self destruction yet, I think the fact that Adrian's still alive is keeping her somewhat focused even if somewhat twisted. Hmmm...while it is unlikely to happen, considering the fact that Adrian's being targeted by Sirleck. If by chance Adrian did get killed, well, we did see how she reacted when he was hurt by Abraham. Anyway I was mainly talking about it being possible to hurt or kill (forcibly reset) and Immortal, when I made those examples. Jerry was 208 when he reset, so there is some give to the rule, dunno how much give before someone goes "you really need to reset now" though. But yeah they probably at some point decided that once you get past 200 the rate of increasing power and instability starts to ramp up. Maybe Edward has a chart for this?
  16. NP: Monday, July 25, 2016

Voltaire also suggested that Tara might have been able to hurt or kill him if not for the fact they he could "depart to another layer of reality" aka, phase back to the Immortal realm. Edward also mentioned that Immortals are significantly weaker in the mortal realm and he or any of the DBG agents would be favored to win in a fight, ASSUMING the immortal played fairly. The question is, would killing an Immortal in this manner force an improper reset? Helena and Demetrius' condition points to "Yes". Seem a bit flawed though because as Helena and Demitrius demonstrate, fragments of their previous incarnation remain, so while they don't know why they've been following Elliot, they know that they have to. If an Immortal that went insane is eventually killed by either humans, intelligent beasts or other Immortals, there is a chance that some part of what the Immortal was doing will carry over and they may end up repeating what they previously did. I'm also wondering if Immortals can choose to end their life without resetting, or maybe if they get so insane that they destroy themselves totally and never reset. I dunno if there's a consistency to how old Immortals get before their insanity destroys them, it's probably been soo long since the last Immortal refused to reset, but maybe it's natural for them to die in that fashion and the choice to reset is what truly makes them Immortal
  17. http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2218 Well....looks like Pandora got noticed pretty quickly.
  18. http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2215 And thus ends the tragic backstory of Pandora, the Immortal who loved too much to let go. I get the feeling that Adrian is likely the only person that will be able to convince Pandora to reset. Know how Immortals died, it wouldn't be as hard on him as it would be for anyone else to lose a parent, he's gotta be aware that she's become increasingly unstable over the years and would rather have a reset mother that would only know him as if she'd read a note about him than to see her end up hurting many innocent people.
  19. Story: Monday July 18, 2016

I think Noah is a secondary character, there's stuff about him that connected with the main story that was hinted at very early on. Diane on the other hand started off as a possible tertiary character, yeah there was a strong hint that there was more to her when Ellen first met her, but it wasn't confirmed until years later when we found out she was adopted and born 20 minutes before Susan, and that basically propelled her up to about as high as secondary characters can go before pushing onto primary territory. Melissa would probably be considering tertiary though, she was for a time an antagonist for Justin, but that's been resolved and so now we may only see her during times we see Noah and that may not be every time we see Noah. Shame though, it'd be nice if we had a side group of people who may not have magic, but at least know about magic, doing things to support the primary gang. Melissa and Ashley have something in common actually, both are non magic users who know of it's existence, are dating magic users, and both stepped into harms way to protect Cheerleadra.
  20. Story: Monday July 25, 2016

Because Ellen's second life stuff started the same night everyone else is having their dreams. Dreams are a creation of the subconscious. What Ellen was doing wasn't her subconscious creating a fantasy, it was an outside source literally transferring memories into her, for about a week, she was Neo, getting 18 years worth of data downloaded into her, she got first 6 years the first night but she ended up sleeping 12 hours as well, the other 12 years were probably spread out thinner. Nioi was in the prime universe looking for Dr Sciuridae in the hopes of find a way to deal with General Shade Tail whom she said was corrupting Lord Tedd. She happened to be peeping on our Tedd when she realized that Grace was General Shade Tail's counterpart, then she just happened to notice Ellen who was in the same situation as her own duplicate Kaoli who was also created when Nioi was messing with her magic and then touched the diamond without know what it would do. So Nioi didn't originally intend on focusing on neither Grace nor Ellen, she just stumbled upon them. The time that we see Grace's conversation with Disco Wizard, it was the third time he'd tried to give her his message about the marks and magic and stuff, Grace had her sense of deja vu after the first or second attempt, where she them looked up the probability of being able to remember dreams, she probably found suggestions for remembering while searching and one was to immediately write down as much as you can remember as soon as you wake up. so by the time the third attempt happened, she was somewhat prepared.
  21. Story: Monday July 25, 2016

Grace already know Nioi, if Nioi wanted to contact any of them again, she'd be more direct. Also I mentioned in another thread recently that I didn't consider Ellen's second life dreams as actual dreams, but memories of another Ellen being implanted into her mind while she slept.
  22. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

Nanase thought she read her spell book fairly often though, which means she probably is the one that reads it the most, she just missed the part about custom fairy outfits, Ellen likely is a close second though, I bet Ellen and Nanase spend some dates together checking to see if they got anything new to play with.
  23. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

It was Elliot and Ellen that were joking about the lingerie beam, but that happened back in I think March of the previous year, the new NP is taking place months later in October, I think Dan is just showing us that Pandora hasn't dropped the spooky cloud routine. As for what the NP will be about? Considering Pandora had up until this point already created the energy clog, marked Dex, Justin and Rhoda and proclaimed that she will "destroy the world" and replace it with one that Adrian can act freely in. So...what else could she do? Well, this might be when she marks Catalina, as well as Luke and one of his friends. She also might observe Magus and Sirleck's progress even though she said she wouldn't help Magus anymore.
  24. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

I say Sarah, because at a glance, people would think she'd be the least likely to do anything bad ass.
  25. NP: Monday, July 25, 2016

Best guess, if we continue to say Immortals first came to be 8000 years ago, They may have had a period of maybe 1000-2000 years of breeding among themselves. realized that their Immortality would cause overpopulation issues and decided to abstain. There may have been a period afterward where Immortals mated with Humans instead which lead elves. That might have gone on for a couple thousand years until there was an issue with Humans and Elves not getting along, more rules with them put into place which limited Elves and while they do have long lifespans, they are mortal so they would have eventually died down after another couple thousand years, there may have been a small population still in existence in Abraham's time, and probably just a handful of Elves in the present time including Adrian.
