  1. Story Friday July 8, 2016

I can see where this is going, Blaike surprised Pandora because he didn't predictably jump at her offer. He did his own thing, his own way, and didn't take shortcuts and it made him unpredictable to Pandora. It's clear that this is still before Pandora turned 200, I'm wondering if, after Blaike passed away (either from an adventuring mishap or old age) she attempted to find someone else like him that would surprise her the same way? Also, I really am beginning to wonder if the two halves of the world were more connected at one time, dragons and magic lion bears seem more fitting to the griffon's half than this one. There's something I'm wondering about concerning the age of Immortals in relation to their appearance. Pandora in these past couple pages is around 150 years old, yet she looks like she could be early 20's if she were human which I would think would be more fitting if she were between 50-100 years old maybe. The adult form she currently takes seems more appropriate for an 150 year old Immortal. I'm wondering though, if the elderly appearance we've seen with Jerry, Helena and Demetrius is purely a choice they make to look like that to let other's know that they're getting close to resetting, or maybe it's the form they have to take when they initiate the reset process. Jerry was in the process of resetting when we first saw him, we're not entirely sure if that was the case for Helena and Demetrius when they first visited Nanase and Susan but there is a chance they're improper deaths were not long after that visit. Pandora can switch forms at will but we've never seen her in an elderly form, only child, college kid, and a term that was coined in American Pie. Of course I'm not counting the chaotic form unless that's the kind of form that only Immortals that have gone well past their reset date can take.

Here's another oddity for you all. I wanted to post a reply in the July 4th thread, but this text field refused to open, I got the toolbars and the attachment bar, but there was nowhere to type anything, trying to quote someone didn't work either. I had to do a triple check after it allowed me to type in this thread, even restarted the browser.
  4. NP Wednesday July 6, 2016

Grace had 32.33repeating% chance of success there. Success at getting through unscathed, or at becoming at cool robot person, depending on who you ask.
  5. NP Wednesday July 6, 2016

If you want to count all the times Grace's eye were like that: Painted Black, Hammerchlorians 1, hammerchlorians 2 New and Old Flames One Way Road (the one you really need to watch for) Death Sentence And then you have Rad Squirrel and now Deus Ex Grace-ina. so probably 8 for 8, And Painted Black is so far the only example of following through in canon.
  6. Story Wednesday July 6, 2016

Probably not, I mean one of the security personnel was using a crystal ball to watch over everyone and mess with their heads by calling them out on running an stuff but it's possible the crystal ball stuff is kept between her and her co-worker, Susan running off doesn't seem in character for her though the joke of it was curiosity got the better of her. Her and Mellonpool being about to duel over their opinions of Star Trek was probably the most ridiculous because of the convenient access to lirpas but then again, if there was a booth nearby with foam props... It might be one of those "It could be canon because it's believable enough".
  7. Story Wednesday July 6, 2016

Susan said her dad chose the name Tiffany for her first name while her mom chose Susan for her second name, so it makes perfect sense that she would rather be called Susan instead of Tiffany because of her negative feelings towards her dad. so yeah I think it would have been likely she would have continued to answer to Tiffany if the affair never happened. As for the hair, there would still have been a chance that she would have still dyed it at some point, but it would have likely been for more positive reasons.. Rick is roughly the same age as Rhea since they both go to the same college and live in the same building so I think it's more likely that Rick and Rhea spent more time together, the vibes I get was that Diane was more naive when she was 6 (which is evidenced by the fact that she didn't know how ethnicity worked back then) and probably laughed at everything including stuff Rick said. As for the last 2 quotes. You might want to edit those to show they were Critterkeeper's and not mine. Though conventions can be quite expensive depending on which ones you go to, PAX South for instance is $75 for a 3 day pass, Blizzcon tickets are $200 for 2 days, then you need to factor travel and hotel expenses, food, and anything else you might buy or do while you're there. If the convention that Sarah and Susan went to was local then travel would be basically gas money and parking, and no hotel expense, food would be minimal too and the tickets themselves I'm guessing would have been between $25-50 each. Considering Sarah "dragged" Susan to the con, They likely each bought their own ticket and Sarah might have offered to pay for gas. I'm guessing Sarah had been saving her allowance for some time.
  8. Story Wednesday July 6, 2016

I wanted to say Edward might know about Pandora, but considering he wasn't knocking on Adrian's door wanting to know what his mother was up to after the encounter in the woods and then again after she appeared on TV, either Edward doesn't know Pandora, or at the very least has never seen her before. Although with a name like Pandora, Edward would have been able to connect the dots and suspect that an Immortal with chaotic behaviour would be Pandora. Well, yeah, the reason why she died her hair and preferred to use her middle name Susan instead of Tiffany was because she wanted to not be anything like the woman her father had an affair with, so if that didn't happen, she would have been more likely to have stayed blonde and answer to Tiffany, her forming the feminists club at school was out of her anger at her father giving her a jaded view of all men. This might be stretching things, but your link there, the Blonde woman's hair while not quite as long, is basically several hairbands short of looking like young Pandora's, they both have the bits of hair that fall in front of the ears(which I forgot that Pandora always had those bits in her adult form). Yeah, I know, Grace has that style as well, but it does seem too much of a coincidence that Dan used that style for both Pandora and the blond woman. Oh I won't argue that Susan didn't live without money, we've seen her house, and while it's pretty clear that her mom is willing to give Susan everything, Susan's expression towards getting allowed on that trip makes her seem more embarrassed that her mom is spoiling her. Susan didn't want things handed to her which would be why she got a job at the video store. I don't think it was her mom that taught her to be self-confident, though I think her saying "because he's a man" got Susan in the "I hate all men" frame of mind which would have made her want to teach herself how to be able to do things without a man doing them for her. As for Diane, we don't know much if anything about her childhood, maybe she didn't have wealthy parents, though considering they adopted both her and Rhea, they must have been decently secure in their finances. Actually was Rick a member of their family too? It's clear that he's known Diane since she was at least 6 years old, and Diane showed more concern for both him and Rhea over everyone else when things went down. It's certainly possible that Rick is Rhea's childhood friend though and Diane had gotten used to him always being around. I don't think Diane got bounced from one family to her current one, unless she was still too young to remember it, remember she didn't realize she was adopted till she was 6, so it's probably safe to say she's only known her current family. Aside from that, we can only speculate how she picked up her habits.
  9. Story Wednesday July 6, 2016

I was thinking more like Pandora was the Blonde woman. Which raises the question, did she intend on Susan seeing her with her father (or adopted father)? Would make sense if Pandora wanted Susan and Diane to have very different childhoods, Diane seemed to have had a pretty normal if a bit spoiled childhood, while Susan grew up in a broken family. How would Susan have been if her father didn't cheat? Probably the same as Diane I think.
  10. Story Wednesday July 6, 2016

Certainly looks possible. And while we're at it, I'm not certain we should bury the theory of Susan and Diane being related to Adrian just yet. Young Pandora bears a pretty strong resemblance to them. So being Adrian's half-sisters could be possible and still explain the Susan-like illusion Adrian put on Grace. Pandora could have used magic to suppress the elven nature of Susan and Diane so that even other immortals couldn't detect it. She was disappointed that Adrian couldn't act to his full abilities growing up, so made sure that Susan and Diane didn't receive those restrictions.

Eeyup, I'm a newly freed Brit here. Hey! I must trigger the same amount of spellchecking as Myranuse and I'm in Canada.
  12. Story Friday July 1, 2016

Considering Richard's battle cry was "For Pony!" you could have been right either way.
  13. Story: Monday July 4, 2016

that would require a focus on either Tedd or Nanase though... probably something less obvious. Considering the likely hood of this first part being about talking to Edward about the events of the previous arc, I think he will confirm Susan's relation to Diane, whether or not he confirms the fact that Susan is adopted is something that can still go either way, Susan could still be the biological child of Mr and Mrs Pompoms and if Edward was involved in splitting her and Diane up for whatever reason then it would certainly explain him coming up with Ellen's backstory. But if Susan was also adopted, the whole Legacy bit could involve learning about her's and Diane's true parents, or at least the reason they were split up.
  14. Story: Monday July 4, 2016

If you're talking about Justin/Luke and Sarah/Sam, yeah, they'll either be done in NP, or, especially in the case of Sarah and Sam, be done immediately following this arc, Dan said the arc would span across a week so it could be similar to how "Identity" spanned Monday-Thursday with Squirrel Prophet being Friday. I'd include Diane in that as well, then again, if Dan kept the whole Elliot/Ellen situation separate from the Susan/Diane situation, it might be just as likely she'll never know anything happened.
  15. Story: Monday July 4, 2016

Sounds coherent.. Yeah, but I'm guessing Magus has a way to turn himself male again afterward, or maybe he just doesn't care if he ends up female, just as long as she's got a body again. Considering the previous storyline ended with the assurance that Sirleck was still poking around, it's safe to say that another Sister arc should also return to Elliot and Ellen as a major plot point. Yes, Diane and Susan is also a pretty big deal, but it only recently starting picking up steam whereas Elliot and Ellen's story has been simmering for quite some time. At least having Susan and Diane on the cover as well makes it so that this arc isn't only about Elliot and Ellen.
  16. If it's just the one sock that looks smaller, it could easily be explained as having been pulled down a bit when Gracelyn grabbed her ankle for the stretch.
  17. Story: Monday July 4, 2016

::facepalms:: On closer inspection, turns out what I thought was cat ears and spines was in fact Sirleck.......D'oh!
  18. Story: Monday July 4, 2016

Sirleck by Voltaire, Abner by Voltaire, maybe Voltaire would step in and "offer" to assist Magus, though Magus has stated he doesn't trust Immortals so I doubt he'd be easily convinced that Voltaire would be helping out of the goodness of his heart. In terms of what's what, I'm pretty certain the cat face is Jeremy, or maybe Max considering Raven is being drawn into Voltaire's schemes. The next silhouette, if it's not Pandora, it's some other Immortal, or maybe there's another vampire encounter approaching? Although it does look very similar to the smaller silhouette that I'm assuming is Magus, so maybe it's also hint at Magus succeeding? Dunno.
  19. Story: Wednesday, Jun 29, 2016

The griffins were going on Nanase's aura specifically, I'm not sure if there'd be any distinction between mages and wizards based on their aura, I would think that the griffins would know there is a difference between mages and wizards though, at least Andrea should know. I didn't mean to imply that Nanase would have the same talents as Noriko, I would suspect that each member of their family born with innate talents could have different talents from each other, they'd just have extra talents that would give them a broader range of spells and abilities. The chances of having similar spells and abilities is still there though. Although...what if Nanase's family didn't have access to just a few talents, but all of them? It would be fitting for someone with a royal aura to have a huge arsenal of spells and abilities, normal magic users would only be able to get spells based on their personality and/or innate talent, but royal blood magic users could potentially learn all the spells. It was implied that Noriko had a weapon summoning spell similar to Susan's and Wolf stated that Noriko had a "long family history of fighting monsters and evil wizards" so it'd make sense to be able to have as much of an advantage as possible, meaning the ability to counter nearly everything thrown at them.
  20. The Association Game

    To listen to me whine.
  21. Story: Wednesday, Jun 29, 2016

What makes Nanase special enough to be considered royalty, could be that her family line has more than 1 innate talent. Whenever there's mention of innate talents in regards to Susan, Diane and Sarah, it's always been singular, sure they can get other spells later that aren't specific to their talent but their main spell base would be more likely to come from that talent. If Nanase had multiple innate talents, it could explain the amount of things she can do, the sneaking around stuff might just be as much an innate talent as it was a reflection of who Nanase was at the time she was getting those, but the Guardian form isn't part of the sneaky spell set so it might have been part of another innate talent that she was able to unlock by meeting the requirements of being selfless and wanting to protect others. The fairy doll might be considered part of the same set as the guardian because part of the spell allows Nanase to link a doll with someone so that she could easily get to the person if needed, which would make for a very good way for Nanase to find someone if she felt they were in trouble, and if the person had the doll with them, she could still get to them even if she doesn't know exactly where they are. So there are at least 2 spell sets for Nanase, a sneaky set and a combat guardian set.
  22. Yeah, I tried playing her and didn't do too well, still I knew about the pose before I played the game, mainly because of the controversy over her original pose.
  23. I was under the impression that once Elliot used a custom morph for the first time, it was a lot easier to do again after, Gracelyn originally happened because he was thinking about both Grace and Ellen while trying to keep himself from transforming, but was apparently able to reuse it easily later to show Grace, Ellen and Tedd. The times that he had issues with his morphs not working as intended was when he tried tweaking them, like when he was trying to come up with a standard morph that didn't look like Ellen, he'd focus on too many variables like height, face shape, bust size, hair and eye colour, etc, and usually ended up overdoing one of them. Once Elliot settled on what he wanted, he just saved the template as it were.
  24. Yeah, but Ellen also considers Sarah a sister and yet was open to the idea of being "friends with benefits", of course that's more Ellen's libido acting there which Elliot doesn't have to deal with, but it's one thing to have a romantic relationship, and another to just having fun.
  25. The lack of a link between Sarah and Elliot kinda bothers me, I know they've broken up which means there's likely no canon chance of them doing anything, but Sarah did think of Elliot as "A sexy friend", which should make shipping still doable right? If anything a "friends with benefits" situation could be a thing.
