  1. In WoW one of the male Tauren /silly emotes is "Here's the beef!"
  2. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

I think it wouldn't be an issue if Tedd was just told that Noriko is a monster hunter, Tedd know's she's in Europe, the fact that there are enemies of Noriko that have and may yet again target any of her family for revenge would likely cause Tedd to bust out the "gauntlet" again and work harder to make sure he's able to protect his friends and family. The issue would be revealing that the reason Noriko left was because she was disappointed in Tedd not having any magic potential and thus not worthy of being an apprentice. Which from what we've seen, only Edward, Mama Kistune and Adrian (and likely Pandora) would be capable of revealing. That I can see having a very negative effect on Tedd.
  3. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

Just for clarification because this has been mentioned a few times in the forums already. Tedd referred to his dad as Dumbledore, but Edward world rather be compared to Gandalf. That's quite optimistic of you. Nanase is badass, but do you think her uncle would be willing to let her protect Diane against an unknown number of vampires who might even be working together without additional protection? Also, Diane doesn't only need protection, she needs to be trained to protect herself as well. I don't think Edward would recommend Raven for the job, given their history, but Grace might ask Raven to train Diane anyway, or Edward might trust Greg enough to ask him for help. Edward could still make it known to the paranormal division that several aberrations have been encountered in Moperville and there may still be some in the area or may come to the area in the future, whether or not Arthur Arthur does anything about it remains to be seen but optimistically they'd be on the alert about it, there'd be no reason to mention that a civillian who's not been awakened had been targeted by one already. Susan was a special case in that she was targeted but then marked to give her access to her affinity, if she wasn't attacked, how long could she have gone without knowing she had that affinity, 5, 10, 15 years? She quite possibly might have never awakened on her own, same could be the case with Diane, I think we can agree that the chances of Diane gaining access to her affinity, either by mark or by training and awakening, is pretty high considering the company she keeps, but would Arthur Arthur think she's worth sending bodyguards on the off chance she might become a vampire slayer? As far as Nanase goes, she'd be the top choice to have stay close to Diane, Nanase however would suggest Diane join Grace and Ellen with their training under Greg, she may also consider telling Adrian consider she knows what he is, and least get his advice on what to do. That's coming from the theory that the blonde that Susan caught her dad cheating with is her biological mother, and the only evidence we have to support that theory is this comic page with the title "The other woman with Susan's face".
  4. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

We might have different views about this, I see what Pandora did to Sarah as being like the Mafia shaking down a business and being like "We got our hands in everything around here so it'd be no use going to the authorities about it."
  5. Story: Wednesday, April 6, 2016

perhaps because the roundabouts way of revealing the twins similar birthdays wouldn't work if he didn't? the cast said it themselves, how many people would actually remember the time they were born? Susan was born 10 minutes after midnight, so January 1st for here, Diane would be the elder sister by 20 minutes being born 10 minutes before midnight December 31st. As for why Dan would make a point to have anyone mention Susan being the youngest. Does there have to be a particular reason other than the fact that just prior to the mention of it, Ellen says "In light of Susan oldness", which would kinda be ironic for referring to someone younger than her. also the fact that Susan seems more mature compared to the rest of the group. As for why Susan would know when she was born, nothing too suspicious about that, some parents tell their kids that, Heck my photo album has the time I was born plus my weight and length marked down. Even if Susan was adopted Mr and Mrs Pompoms would have to have been given a copy of the birth certificate and any relevant information.
  6. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

Unless she's knows as much about Susan as Mama Kitsune does about Nanase, I don't see her being aware of vampires. We've hardly seen Mrs Pompoms for there to have been any hint that she's aware of anything Susan's been involved in magic related.
  7. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

Nanase always had the option of asking Edward for more information, so that she could at least better understand why he feels Tedd shouldn't be told about his mother. Same with Susan's situation, Nanase suggested that if they weren't going to tell Susan she might be adopted, her and Ellen should at least talk to Susan's mother. They were likely waiting for a good moment to do so, but recent events are kinda forcing the issue.
  8. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

I think it applies to most types of extortion, making a person believe its in their own best interest to hide something from the authorities.
  9. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

Considering how much Nanase and Ellen already know about Diane, and the fact that Diane has already been attacked, Edward should definitely agree that she'll need help. He might even think that Nanase would be the best choice considering her abilities and the fact that Diane would trust her, rather than assigning agents to watch over her. As for Susan, if it turns out that Edward knows she's adopted, heck even if he can't find anything to say she is, he might be against telling her for the same reason Ellen was against it, the fact that her mother should be the one to tell her, and then we're back at Nanase having to talk to Susan's mom. If it turns out that Susan isn't adopted (and Edward got the idea for Ellen's cover story from Diane's situation) then it shouldn't be too much of an issue telling Susan.
  10. Story: Wednesday, April 6, 2016

Technically Sirleck is a bloodsucker. Sirleck is a parasitic aberration that latches onto it's victim and taps into their nervous and circulatory systems, so Sirleck is both sucking out the victim's blood, absorbing the nutrients and such, then returning it to the victim to get recycled. I don't imagine Sirleck could live long without a host.
  11. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

I didn't say Pandora's visit was because of Tedd, just that her initial interest in Sarah and giving her the mark was because of Sarah's connection to Tedd. The visit was likely due to Pandora discovering that someone was meddling with her plans through Grace so she figured she could meddle back through Sarah. Think about what Pandora said about telling Edward being a big no no. She claimed that Edward being aware of Sarah's ability would force him to tell his superiors and then they would force Sarah into working for them. But really, what would Edward's first thought be if Sarah told him that she was marked by who Grace thinks was the creepy girl that appeared on the News shortly after Abraham's attack? The same creepy girl that appeared in front of him, Wolf and Cranium a couple years earlier? I'd think he'd be more worried about that than whatever spell Sarah has, and I think that's why Pandora didn't want Sarah telling Edward.
  12. Is EGS:NP becoming too important?

I think it'd be kinda both, Dan could have done "Squirrel Prophet">"Playing with Dolls">"So a date"> then have "Question Mark" after that either making it clear that it happened during the "Playing with Dolls" and "So a Date" arcs, or state that it happened later in the timeline. Either way we wouldn't likely have seen "Question Mark" until at least the end of 2016. My point mainly was that the NP allowed Dan to show us how characters not in the main story are developing, and also lets him create canon stories that fit in any time jumps in the main story, like the MV5 story.

  17. Is EGS:NP becoming too important?

Yeah, Dan has stated that he considers the NP to be multipurpose and that it allows him to do Canon storylines alongside the main comic so that he doesn't have to try to fit all the main characters into a story, especially if the stories aren't related to each other. Playing with Dolls ran alongside Squirrel Prophet (the card tournament portion of it) even though it technically occurred the next day, but imagine if Dan ran Playing with Dolls in the main comic after Squirrel Prophet? It would have been a few months before we got into So a Date (and that's assuming Dan did 6-8 panel pages instead of spreading it out on 3-4 panel strips), and then how would he have fit Question Mark in since it takes place alongside both Playing with Dolls and So a Date in terms of being on the same day, (Sarah would have been messing around trying to figure out what the spell was while Susan and Nanase were at Tedd's and then Sarah would have discovered the spell and then later got visited by Pandora while Elliot and gang were dealing with the griffins) so yeah I think the way Dan's done it works best for trying to cover what everyone's up to. It still remains to be seen if the next NP is about Diane and Susan finally meeting, we only know that it does involve Susan and it does seem like too much of a coincidence that Dan was in the process of doing the comic where Nanase makes the decision to tell Diane about Susan when he came up with the NP story idea and basically had to stop the main comic to write the NP stuff. Guess we'll see in a few weeks.

There's one dungeon in WoW called the Mana Tombs. It's controlled by a group a rogue Ethereals and they've put up a field at the entrance to prevent Ethereals from the Consortium from entering. When you go there, you see the Consortium Ethereals trying to get past the field and and occasionally one of them will try to enter and for a moment it looks like they succeeded until they suddenly go POOF and one of the technicians is like "Well, back to the drawing board."
  19. What Are You Listening To?

This is from the DS remake of Rise of the Sinistrals, but I still consider the track one of the best from the SNES era.
  20. Story: Wednesday, April 6, 2016

There was this one soap that my mom watch called Another World, I vaguely recall for the most part it seeming like a standard soap like a husband hiding an affair from his wife or whatever, but towards the end it turned all weird with some guy apparently being several centuries old trying to resurrect a lost love by awakening her spirit in one of other characters. There was also another I don't remember the name of that was very twisted having to do with a witch and her living doll trying to kill a girl who apparently had to potential to destroy her, all the while the girl doesn't even know about this and is more interested in being in love with a guy who's also got the lust of another girl that tries everything in her power to steal him away. That one played out soo slow, like Monday someone would be "I'm so going to tell soandso about this" and it wouldn't be till either Friday or the next Monday that anything actually happens so 4-5 days are spent building up the suspense.
  21. If implied shipping is a problem, then Greg wouldn't work either.
  22. Tedd's the only one that's had surprising moments of badassery that I know of, but as for overlooked and down to earth? OH! Charlotte's done something badass recently.
  23. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

I can understand there being a chance that Carol has the same innate ability as Sarah, but it's probably just as hard to detect and I just don't see Pandora having marked her as well. I see Pandora taking interest in Sarah because of her friendship with Tedd, and upon taking a closer look at Sarah's potential during the deck building phase of the tournament, noticed her innate ability and thought some fun could be had with it.
  24. Story: Wednesday, April 6, 2016

Hmm, I guess what would make Archie and Noah alternates would be the same reason Grace and General Shade Tail are alternates, Noah would have had to been given the DNA from one of the parents who's alternate provided the DNA for Archie, meaning the second (or third) DNA source would have had to come from someone else.
