After seening the little guy run over the trap, I gave upon them. I'm really not a trap person.

Understood. The damn mouse just ran over a trap. It didn't go off. The peanut butter is missing from one also. I suspect that the mechanical traps are not going to be the fix, but having a cat in the house is. Even if she doesn't get it, most mice will leave a house with cats, or that is the theory.

Given my cleaning habits and the fact that there will be a cat in the house soon, poisons of any kind are right the [redacted] out. I have no desire to poison my self or Susie.

Cat is at least 2 weeks away so I've got a set of traps set. Sucker is getting bold.

Or for that matter 1dX + 1dY where X and Y are not the same. 1d8+1d12, for example, gives the same range as 2d10, but a much flatter curve.

No, it's not. Do you think you can make a game with My Little Pony characters? Or any thing from Disney? Just because you aren't trying to make money off of it doesn't make it fair use. You know what makes if fair use? A judge saying it is. There really isn't a bright line in the copyright laws saying "do this and it's Fair Use". That's why things like the various open source/open gaming licenses exists, to create a virtual bright line. The rules aren't the problem, it's the use of his copyrighted characters. Using some one intellectual property with out their explicit permission is a copyright violation. At the bottom of the comic page you will find this. The Dan went out of his way to put that statement in, please respect it.

Just for the record, in the US you can't copyright the rules to a game, only the expression of those rules, so legally you would be in the clear if you took the rules, as shown in the comic, etc and translated them to either code or a dead tree product or PDF. Ethically you would be a skunk if you did that with out The Dan's knowledge and permission.

Eve's new content "Resource Wars" is freaking hard. Mine a crapload of stuff while fighting off waves of pirates, in 12 minutes, limited, so far I've seen of 3 people in the "room". Not sure if I like it or not, but will be poking it with sticks and seeing about joining a corp to do it in fleets like it should be done.

I have just verified, while awake, functional and with direct observation that I have at least one mouse. I sort of thought I did, but had not seen on in good light. In a couple of weeks I'm going to be cat sitting (sorta, the cat is coming here) my brother's cat while they paint the house. Suzi is known to be a mouser, so that should solve that. Going to get a set of glue traps anyway.

Kroger's house brand "4 Cheese Alfredo Sauce" needs more cheese. Thankfully I have that.

I'm hoping to make it to the 3rd or 4th with out a frost, in which case I will be making about 2 or 3 pounds of chive butter. The chive pot really seems to like the move and looks great this year.

My hybrid portrait/landscape monitor is really too narrow in portrait mode. Most web pages deal but the book of faces just isn't useable, which means I have trouble reading my feed while doing my "It's morning, time to mine a million isk" thing on Eve.

Why do I get this feeling that Diane is about to say that she doesn't like to be touched either. That or the vampires start their attack next frame.

Head ache more or less gone, and the rice/soup mix is a bit, well, soupy.
