Waking up in the wee hours of the morning with almost all the symptoms of a hangover when you didn't drink the night before. I strongly suspect migraine Prodromal stage so I am taking my standard mix of early migraine medications to hopefully stop it. If nothing else they will work on standard headaches and I'm drinking several glasses of water on the chance it's dehydration caused by some source I can't think of right now. Regardless very freaking annoying.

Just for the record F72 is the clinical/billing code way of saying Severe intellectual disabilities Applicable To IQ 20-25 to 35-40 Severe mental subnormality Cut and pasted from here It's not "mental illness" it's the clinical version of the r word.

Doing the first `sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade` on a Ubuntu virtual machine. Damn that takes a while.

If you import a OVA file into VirtualBox, it makes a vmdk file. Which can not be modified by VBoxManage in any way other than being cloned to a VDI file, which you can dink with. VirtualBox will cheerfully use a VTI file as the "hard disk" of the virtual machine, so why the hell didn't they select VTI as the import to file type? Oracle, that's why.

Just to set a bench mark, a disabled veteran, who after getting out of the military spent about 20 years in fairly high paying tech/IT/programmer/SysAdmin jobs, gets $1,570 a month. That works out to $9.80 an hour. That is 2.56 over the minimum wage in Oklahoma. I can live, fairly comfortably on that, because I live in Oklahoma and am willing to live in a 400 sq foot apartment. So what is the equality wage for me? At my peak earnings I was making $75.00 an hour. That company went dot bomb, and it's pay scale might have had something to do with that. My "normal" pay averaged out to about $25-30 an hour. And because all my 401(k) stuff was in tech stocks (didn't have much choice) it's value is close to nil. Add in that almost every company I've worked with has gone belly up for one reason or another I have diddly over squat for savings. I will be living on my disability or Social Security for the rest of my life. -

HTML5 Video playback. Been around for 8 years now. Supported by all the major browsers and most of the minor ones. Why the freaking hell do I need to have both flash (remember, Adobe is dried mud) and Silverlight installed to play most videos? I used to write web sites for a living. HTML5 video is a freaking snap. Setting up flash or Silverlight is a pain in the sitting area. It's a good thing I have 2 tablets that can play Amazon and Netflix because if I tried to play them on the iMac I would be hosed.

That, of course, assumes that that is the only mall in town, or that they went to the same one. There is canon for that, in that the term "the mall" with on name attached has been used more than once.
