The best way to learn good C coding practices is to code for 286 protected mode. Almost all the bad things you can do in C result in an INT-D being tossed, which while it does crash out your program, it doesn't hurt the rest of the system and if your debugger and editor are set up correctly you will be dropped on the offending line of code. Also use lint on all your source code before you commit it to your code base.

Back when I was in charge of a team of programmers I had some very strong rules about use of parens. Like use them even if the operator precedence order said you didn't need to.

I keep forgetting the my shrink's clinic only takes checks or cash. When I remember before I go I hit an ATM before I go to her office.

I got paper checks because for several months my garbage company needed a paper check as they didn't have a pay via the web option. They now do, so I have a whole box of checks that I have nothing to use them on.

Explorer the Cat was waiting in bed for me after I got back from my drug and food run for the month. I spent some time in the workstation, but as soon as I got done with it and changed into my bed clothes she came right up to me in bed showing all the signs of getting over separation anxiety. She finally calmed down and is laying on my left side purring very loudly,

I don't trust the SSA to correctly transfer from my existent card to the credit union. My current system of getting my "check" sent to the debit card works and I normally don't have to deal with paper checks. If the bill that was talking about $2000 per month for 6 months gets passed I might set up direct deposit into the credit union. As it is right now I really don't have to deal with any thing else.

Today was over the phone shrink day. We are keeping my medication the same, but are looking at increasing the lamictal dose to 200mg if needed. I'm to call her if I have any more depressive episodes, or if they last longer than a few minutes. -

The Human came out the bedroom around 1:00 PM so he could talk to his shrink on the phone. Explorer the Cat moved from the bed, where she had been resting to the box on top of the bookcase resting area. She seems to like to rest on the knitted hats that normally are there.

Explorer the Cat went into the bedroom early today. Because I used most of my spoons dealing with the credit union this morning I decided to join her early. Once I got undressed and into my sleeping clothes she came up from the foot of the bed and layed down on my left shoulder and just purred. I am so lucky to have her.

Explorer the Cat was dashing about the house when I left to go to the credit union. Once I returned she was in bed, as is her habit when I leave the house for any length of time. I got back and she walked out of the bedroom after I had gone in there to get my morning pill and jumped up on to the bookcase and went to her "I'm resting for a while" place, meaning she is done running around the house. Any rate, here she is...
