http://egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-29 I see that unlike Ash Ketchum in anime, Justin already captured usable number of Graces ... ... but the strategy for who's first on party is "the one who needs XP", because you can switch them quickly and everyone who is in fight, even if they don't attack, gets share of XP.

Well, sure, but most are still going to school at the same time

http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-28 ... I don't think Dan nailed it. But hey, it's parody comics, and we have http://egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-02 ... I guess it can work. Also, Nanase already has Ellen, now Justin has the opportunity.

I though we will get more than one page of Diane's history ... or will we get flashback every other page or something? I suspect she will assume this is because of some boy. She even has camouflage spell. However, people MIGHT assume the hair looks longer because it's straighter or something. Wonder Woman also has them - granted, her are armor, but it MIGHT still be the look Diane is trying for? About commentary: Actually, Ellen's reaction to Nanase's haircut was sort of similar to Kitty Pryde's one ... Size: Uh ... what is the deal with tall panels? Like, if it's supposed to fit on screen on height, it still doesn't fit MY screen. I have more than 70 pixels of menus, toolbars and stuff.

Sketchbook Tuesday August 21, 2018 (Dan's Choice – Slow Day At Work)

I like the 4th bonus the most and agree that variant of that body with 5's clothes in blue would be great. -
Saw a cartoon recently with a schoolhouse built on a steep slope, with the door labeled "Entrance" at the top, and the door labeled "Exit Only" at the bottom. The path leading to the school started out at a level halfway in between and then forked towards either door. Dad is pointing to it and asking son, "So, now do you believe I had to walk to school uphill both ways?" I wonder how long till the simple fact you needed to WALK to the school will be hard to believe. You know, walk as opposed to just login into it.

Well, there are some people who have their fat entirely within their head. That almost sounds as insult, but note that Myelin is mostly from lipids and myelin insulation is critical for speed of electrical impulses on axons. Most known reason for not having fat in brain is multiple sclerosis.

... seriously? Her ears are completely different on 2 & 3 -
"Doctors, people are figuring out that the height-and-weight charts horribly over-simplify things. Obesity can't be completely defined in terms of those two numbers. What do we do?" "How about if we divide one of those two numbers by the other and give the result a nice scientific-sound name? Oh, maybe 'Body Mass Index'?" "Perfect! Let's do it!" I read somewhere BMI is quite useful method to determine if you are UNDERweight, though.

We do have the "Oblivious Wand Waving" NP that show's reality can be drastically altered and can probably file that as an alternate universe as well. Yes, also good example. There was also good story about this in Wotch, "Most powerful Juju", but seems it disappeared from archive.

I doubt she weighs 160. Accounting for muscle weighing more than fat and that Nanase probably doesn't have much if any fat on her (magic boobs aside) I'd estimate she's somewhere between 110 and 130 Not having fat is very unhealthy and I don't think she ever tried any diet which could cause that (nor she needs to, unless you ask some bulimic). But considering she's not exactly tall, maybe? She could answer zero ... if she hangs around Tedd or Susan enough.

Well we also got a group of people who's job is to pretend to be bad guys to help make things interesting, so for all we know George is acting as well. Good point. You can also say that the magic change changed everyone's memory making them think Graces are around forever, but this kind of thinking is direct opposite of Occam's razor. (Which doesn't mean it won't ever happen. There are cases of this in Neverending Story, for example.)

8 years old would put her in 2nd grade probably, I don't recall doing public speaking until 3rd grade myself though. Hmmm ... I just realized she's holding paper with notes (or maybe whole speech). That wouldn't help average first-grade child much, would it? Ok, she's probably older and either didn't expected this reaction or was brave enough to go with it anyway.
-
While this might work and would explain how George didn't get so far with researching Graces, it would be weird he didn't mentioned that. In fact, the intro suggests Graces ALWAYS were there, just like pokemons. Or, well, at least few thousand years. Meaning this is completely different world with alternates looking same just by chance, therefore no problem with Greg being younger.

I'm not sure that's the specific thing they're teasing her over. They specifically said "daddy's girl". She's aware that, being adopted, her parents didn't HAVE to care about her. Other children doesn't seem to make that connection and tease her over that.
-
She learned she was adopted when she was 6. Though she might be 8 in this comic. Ok so I remembered that incorrectly. Not sure how old she's here but I think this is very close to when she was starting school, and that's usually at age 6-7 isn't it?

Sketchbook Aug 15, 2018 - Mall Goth Elliot
hkmaly replied to ChronosCat's topic in EGS Sketchbook Discussion
Does it help that Grace technically ships Tedd and Elliot. Technically. Really it's Grace shipping Tedd with herself in any form. Aaaand she has forms of all main eight recorded into herself. And can program the TF gun. And doesn't really understand what people might find weird. So, if Tedd wants to have sex with anybody, all he needs is to ask not protest too much. (Also, he needs to notice.) -
Of course, even when burned out, she could lift more than her own weight. You know how much she weights? Oh, definitely.
-
Well, sort of, but I'm still wondering where the word appeared first time. Especially considering only way she can actually stop using magic would be to be burned out. I mean, she WAS burned out when the new dojo was starting, but the moment she got magic back, she would immediately be stronger and possibly faster, which would make her more dangerous even without using her special attacks.
-
That is incorrect. Tedd talked WoM into doing a minimal-change reset. But that's still a reset. "At its most technical, how magic works has not changed at all. What has changed is how much magic is being kept in check." Tedd talked WoM out from doing severe change. Magic still did a minimal changes. The mandatory sideefect of telling the seers is part of severe change. The word "reset" was never used by WoM itself ... or by the emissary ... hell, where did we get the word "reset" from? Did we mixed it up with immortals reseting?

Yeah, you kinda need something bigger for that. Or maybe smaller. A collapsar is not very big, size-wise. Then again, I don't like to think what it would take to weaponise a collapsar. Me, I'd just stay away from the darn things. Little advice about staying away from weaponized version of Kevyn Andreyasn's research: The Andromeda Galaxy is NOT far enough. Neither is our galaxy from Andromeda.

I suppose it depends on how you look at it. If we look at what science is potentially capable of today, I'd still say he does pretty darn well. Simply take a fair sized asteroid, accelerate it towards the Earth and enjoy the special effects. I doubt mankind has invented a nuke more destructive than what will happen. Not yet. Also, it's hard to justify any stronger solution if your target is mere planet. If, however, you want to destroy whole solar system ... Hence my use of the term 'magic.' Yes, but it was suspiciously missing in previous sentence. And it's not JUST magic. The story of original trilogy itself is full of fantasy tropes.

There are enough ways to build sci-fi just from stuff which physicist say is technically possible. (Sure, limiting yourself to stuff which is actually possible may be too strict - but wormholes are totally legitimate solutions to the equations even if noone knows how to build one.) Don't forget fantasy. There is lot of fantasy in Star Wars. You only need to scrap the thin sci-fi paint. Or at least it used to be that way before reboot movies. I'm afraid to ask which earlier stories. I'm not sure season with magic button at the end would be that much better ... but it's true the continuity would be interesting experiment. Yes. Although I seriously don't think Isaac Newton is the deadliest. Sure, he is deadly and he comes on often, but there are deadlier ones. Albert Einstein. Stephen William Hawking. Zefram Cochrane. Kevyn Andreyasn.

Don't worry, they can escape through a CRACK IN THE EVENT HORIZON! (Honest to God. They actually used that as an excuse to escape a black hole once. Ow.) ... WE care. But I'm not surprised that Brannon Braga doesn't care about us.

OH NO! THE SINGULARITY IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE! That would definitely piss the romulans off.
