I'd be willing to bet that the authors had never been to Oklahoma.

So would a nuclear device in downtown Moperville. Granted, you might still have unanswered questions, but the resolution of plot points would be clear. The logistics of a cookie bet are daunting. It is likely to arrive in bad shape. Sam's secret is already out. Grace knows and Sarah figured it out. Not sure if Tedd has seen it; I think he's just seen the result. I think the group in the pocket dimension is going to have a talk with Hope about keeping other folks private matters private.

Comic for Monday, Mar 3, 2025 I like the progress in this comic, it is moving forward. Hope's expression in the second panel, "Yeah, I caused that in a previous life"; priceless. Seems Arthur made an awful judgement call. He could have put together some innocuous spells that would have satisfied her; instead, he cut her off and made her search on her own; he lost control of the situation. I don't recall transformation being a thin in The Sword in the Stone, but it's been ages since I saw it. 'Does 'Gasp' say "Grace likes it, too" to every body else? I didn't get that 'til I read the commentary. The last I recall, the main cast is not in the know about Rhoda and Catalina's magic. Why does Grace sound like she knew Rhoda had size magic? I could see them figuring out that it is Rhoda after comparing notes, but this skips several steps. Even "Why, do you know her?" seems unwarranted; they haven't been given enough information about this person, unless they specifically know she has size magic, and that it is uncommon. Still warts and all, I'm glad it's rolling forward.

I saw a small, 3 or 4 foot tall, whirlwind in New Mexico once. It was powerful enough to scatter loose litter. I think it was cause by the prevailing wind that morning being trapped by our building. I saw half a dozen dust devils spinning away as we drove through Oklahoma one summer. They were each imposing, as tall as a tall building, but not tornadoes. They were not moving from their locations, not fast enough to see, just spinning away; an impressive array of them.

Yep, ravens in the hair would be scary.

"Sure looks strange to me!"

So, you like 'em tall, blond, and scary?

That is good to know.

You're not wrong. I was aware of this, and went with it anyway, because 'purple' has two syllables, as does 'yellow', 'green' just does not work in context. Point of fact, though, the various spring pollens don't tint the falling rain, they make the standing water afterward look like yellow-green paint. (Yellow-green also does not work, too many syllables. I suppose I could have gone with 'Chartreuse Rain'.) You also are not wrong. I took it to mean 'more intense than normal' and 'a lot of them'.

It's on the national weather map as 'violent tornadoes everywhere'.

I was speaking percent. Traveller has been less consistent in regard to system over the years than any other game I can think of. I know of a group that uses AD&D. I don't know any that use original rules, AKA OD&D.

I'd say CT has more fans in Traveller fandom than OD&D has in D&D.

Thanks for the reminder. I know what I'm bringing to the St. Patty's party tonight.

Re: Begging: Removing a bear's fear of humans by training it with food rewards is a very bad idea - this will end badly for someone. Bears can smell food, and do not understand 'No'. Sharing some of your food with a bear is suicidal. This applies to the Russian bear as well. -

Putin. Musk is not a sole actor; getting rid of him does not solve the problem of him nearly as well as getting rid of Putin solves Russian aggression. -
Most of the time, she was bored. Jill may be the sole exception.

I'm not pro-bear. We have smaller bears locally, and they are intrusive, like big dangerous raccoons. Libertarians typically let people be themselves, they are less controlling. -

Fair point. -
Yeah, some are way better than others. Some seem to miss every time.

It must be, there are a lot of them. Especially the geese.

I wouldn't call Libertarian a good thing, I would say that there are good aspects to their views. If you look at the overarching philosophy, they fail as adults. However, I am not aware of Libertarian support of Russia; the Putin world view seems the opposite of what they believe.
