      Welcome!   03/05/2016

Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change.  If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away.  I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

So, it seems that, at least in NP, Grace has now absorbed enough popular culture to easily recognize the Elvis references.
  2. Story: Monday April 18, 2016

Indeed he could be, but if the Immortal named himself for the musician, then he is pretty young.
  3. Story: Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Immortal precognition can't be "true" seeing of future events, because that would be equivalent to information traveling backwards in time, which is forbidden in EGS. I think it's more like "ultra-accurate weather forecasting"--as Immortals grow more powerful and perceptive, they can integrate finer and finer details until they develop a Sherlock Holmes-like ability to get a whole picture from just a few obscure-seeming clues. At Pandora's level, she can probably also "see the threads of fate"--i.e. fully construct entire alternate scenarios based on options A, B, C, etc., and determine their approximate probability of coming to pass.
  4. Story Friday April 15, 2016

Any plan involving the use of the Diamond will probably also result in having to tangle with Abraham again.
  5. Story: Monday April 18, 2016

Only if we can call Voltiare "Jubilation T. Cornpone". Anyway, his choice of the name "Voltaire" probably implies that he is not one of those who is far into the age-related insanity. The famed French writer named Voltaire (after whom this Immortal presumably named himself) was not prominent before around 1730, so this places an upper limit on when this Immortal chose then name. The choice of the name also makes it sound like he believes himself to be more "enlightened" than other Immortals. Note Sirleck's facepalm--while having Helena and Demetrius distracted from Elliot is a good thing for his plan, having them over-focused on hunting Aberrations obviously makes him more vulnerable. So, "Plan CM" apparently begins with inducing Sirleck (and Magus) to make a move. Either Voltaire has set a trap for them, or else stopping Magus/Sirleck's plans was not Voltaire's motivation for needing Elliot dead for "Plan A". I still think at this point that Voltaire's motive for killing Elliot was for the emotional effect that it would have on Tedd, Nanase, and the rest of "the pawns of Chaos" (i.e. all of our friends who were Marked or otherwise manipulated by Pandora). So, Dan has been planning this for six years, eh? *checks archive* That would mean that this was planned back when Sirleck was first introduced.
  6. Story Friday April 15, 2016

How does a couple break up amicably? By having the breakup triggered by something other than anger at one another.
  7. Story: Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Well, it is well-established that Immortals who are past their best-by date start to go crazy because everything seems "been there, done that", so they start to get into the extreme thrill-seeking by playing with metaphorical fire all the time.
  8. Story: Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Alternatively, if he is planning to make Tedd and Grace become more like Lord Tedd and General Shade Tail, then there are fewer better ways to send them on a slide down the slippery slope to the Dark Side than a Roaring Rampage of Revenge triggered by Elliot getting murdered.
  9. Story: Monday, April 11, 2016

It would be QUITE amusing for Diane to encounter girl-mode Tedd before boy-mode Tedd . . .
  10. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

Given the circumstances, if Edward were to find out about Tedd's Mark, it might help him to understand the gravity of the situation. It is well-known to Edward that such Marks reflect the Marked person in some way--either an innate talent or a strong desire that the person holds. Knowing that Tedd was marked with a gender-altering spell that resets Tedd's unenchanted base form rather than itself being an enchantment would do a lot to convince Edward that yes, the issue does reach down to the core of Tedd's self-image.
  11. Story: Monday, April 11, 2016

Yes--the Worst Case Scenario that Arthur is trying to prevent is the sudden rise of a hundred thousand or more people like not-Tengu--jerkasses who find that they have/can get magical power and wish to use it for seriously nefarious purposes. Such a large and sudden flood of would-be aupervillains would overwhelm any attempt to thwart them until an equally powerful force of heroes could be trained.
  12. NP: Monday, April 11, 2016

Try Hyrulian cuccoos--a few pokes with a sword and they will kill anything.
  13. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

Probably because Justin had, barely an hour before, appeared on the television news being interviewed about the incident. Edward probably felt that Justin needed a reminder to be careful about to whom he reveals information--Sarah is within the "need-to-know", but her sister Carol is not, and Carol's TV audience especially does not need to know.
  14. NP: Monday, April 11, 2016

Well, if she was smuggling knives, then she would be a Blade Runner.
  15. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

Of course, Elliot and Tedd could qualify as "Ex-Men"...
  16. NP: Friday, April 8, 2016

One should only point a gun (or other ranged weapon) at someone when one intends either to shoot or to threaten to shoot them. When you are dealing with people rather than NPCs, a gun pointed at them gives them a reasonable suspicion that you intend to shoot, and motivates them to likewise draw their weapons in order either to get you to back down, or to shoot you first.
  17. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

    Better than the Ex-Men.
  18. Story: Monday, April 11, 2016

It's a clear sign of a blown mind. Tedd would be proud.
  19. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

A thought: one reason why Pandora is trying to sow distrust of Edward among Tedd's friends is so that they will gravitate towards the second-most-knowledgeable magical authority that they know of--Adrian. Thus, Adrian would have the "Next Generation Magical Heroes" team that he had been wanting.

Do not meddle in the marital affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
  21. Story: Wednesday, April 6, 2016

I can't locate the page number right now, but Tedd explicitly said that his mother left when he was three. Also, nitpick, but Tedd being born as a non-spellcasting child of two Mages would make him a Squib, not a Muggle.
  22. Story: Friday April 8, 2016

The "Vampires know about Diane and possibly Susan and are now actively hunting them" situation definitely puts this into "need to know" territory for our main group.
  23. Story: Friday, April 1st 2016

But yes, the power and experience disparity between Pandora and those whom she marks does increase the resemblance to child molestation--the much more powerful and knowledgeable party is abusing their position and shirking their ethical duty in order to exploit the less powerful party.
  24. I thought that here would be the most appropriate place to post this since One Girl Guy Army was previously hosted on 910 CMX. Anyway, Panda Casey (formerly known as Panda Pete before coming out as transgendered) has been kicked out of her family's home recently, so I invite all who care to show your support in whatever way you are able. Here is her blog post on Deviantart about it: http://panda-casey.deviantart.com/journal/I-got-kicked-out-of-my-own-home-601853539
