  1. More Speculation.

There are still two marks we don't have candidates for, right? The pile of dookie might actually be a cloud of smoke, which would apply well to Diane's pride in her stealth. I still have no idea of what the circle-rectangle thing is supposed to be, unless it's some kind of spinner with one side of the circle representing good luck and the other side bad luck.
  2. STORY: Wednesday April 27, 2016

Just think of how shocked Susan and Diane are going to be when they find out that they were decanted from a big egg. Yes, yes -- I know most of you think the hypothesis is cracked, but we still need to explain their resemblance to Raven. I don't think it was a red herring.
  3. What Are You Ingesting?

    homemade chicken fried rice
  4. Story Comic for 2016 April 25th

My wild guess is that Elliot just got a spell that will help him deal with being outed as Cheerleadra.
  5. What Are You Ingesting?

I have not yet ingested it, but I have a meatloaf all ready to put in the oven later.
  6. Story: Wednesday, April 20, 2016

I think you're probably right, but I can hope.
  7. Story: Wednesday, April 20, 2016

I suspect that Edward has a chart-making spell, and also a spell that makes weak cover-ups succeed.
  8. Story: Wednesday, April 20, 2016

I kinda hope the next scene is a bunch of teenagers talking to Edward.
  9. What Are You Ingesting?

Toaster bagel sandwiches with processed chicken patties and American and Swiss cheeses.

  13. Three Word Game

  14. Story: Monday April 18, 2016

I wonder if Magus's plot is all needlessly complex, that if he had just told Helena and Demetrius that he needed some help instead of running from them, this would all be avoided. Of course, Pandora probably told him that they would kill him if they ever caught him.
  15. Story: Monday April 18, 2016

So, we can settle last weekend's discussion by saying that Voltaire Sanders was the spy, but he is feeding Sirleck information with a human go-between.
  16. Story Friday April 15, 2016

PS: There is one major bit of foreshadowing.
  17. Story Friday April 15, 2016

There are meta considerations. Usually, when an author sets up something that perfect, you can expect something bad to happen. If the strip wasn't primarily a comedy, I'd be expecting Ashley to get killed.
  18. Story Friday April 15, 2016

This scene with Liz does make make it hard to think Ashley is a spy, as does this scene with her concerned mother's voice. I can rationalize most of Ashley's other actions and reactions as being those of a smart spy, but not those. I had forgotten them when I made my first post in this thread. The calculator is the equivalent of a lady dropping her handkerchief in front of a gentleman. All of the ultra-goodness is an act to appeal to Elliot. Making friends with Liz is part of her infiltration. Trying to save Susan from bad Tom is part of her cover story. Heck, even briefly dating Tom could be part of her infiltration. Saving Elliot from Tara would be self-interested in that her employer needs Elliot alive. Even if that isn't strictly the case, it only shows that she isn't a monster, not that she isn't a spy. She might not even know her employer is a real monster. The book addiction could be real. Alas, I can't see a real super-spy having trouble choosing an outfit and still living with her concerned mother. I have failed. Everything said, Ashley still seems too perfect for Elliot.
  19. Three Word Game

  20. Story Friday April 15, 2016

Looking at the Twitter entries, I see that El Shive said that he would foreshadow some character pretending to be some other character. Note that the person on the other end of the telephone from Sirleck might not be pretending to be anyone. They could simply be an already established character acting as a spy.
  21. Story Friday April 15, 2016

I don't know if Gospodin Shive has said that. My best case for Ashley is my second paragraph above.
  22. NP, Friday April 15, 2016

    Cute Grace is cute.
  23. Story Friday April 15, 2016

My best guess for Sirleck's most probable spy is Colonel Sanders pretending to be mortal. Whitey wanted Elliot dead, and Sirleck needs him alive, but this could all be part of plan "complicated mess." My second guess is Ashley. One, she seems just too perfect for Elliot. Two, she just happened to be by the stairwell when Elliot needed to transform. Might she have been following him? Three, she has been careful to act in ways to gain people's trust, showing great control in her lack of nosiness. Has she, perhaps, been too careful? I think that Ashley is probably the red herring, and Colonel Sanders is the spy in a dog's breakfast of a plot he doesn't like, but it wouldn't surprise me if Ashley really is the spy.
  24. Story: Wednesday, April 6, 2016

Why is Raven rearing a greater chimera? Raven is a half immortal, not a half Uryuom. Why does Raven have any connection to Uryuoms at all? So far as we as readers know, his connection to Uryuoms comes through the Verres family. Furthermore, we know that Noriko has at least one more son. Who might Noriko trust enough to foster her son if she wasn't going to rear him herself? Raven. In terms of narrative, it fits together neatly.
