Here is

Please, Voltaire, kill the 3 Stooges.  I'm sure you can find a way, you're an evil immortal, you can twist the laws to let you do that.

I think it’s more likely that he makes a corrupt bargain with them, because it would amuse him to stir up their side of the world by letting their “Royal Uryuom” plan succeed.

Yeah, but that doesn't solve my issue with the Stooges.  I'll grant that this turn of events does solve the “they are boring” issue.

Voltaire is a loose cannon among a class of beings that are all loose cannons.

Ideal scenario, they steal his magic, then leave, never to return.

He's worse than Pandora was.  She, at least, had the idea of making the world a better place for her son.  Voltaire just wants personal power.

That would solve numerous problems all at once.  Before Hope started rapid fire ending open plot threads, I would have said the Dan(a) would not do that, but they have shown a tendency to just wrap up issues in one or two panels of late in the current arc.

I'mHow sad.

Voltaire can not simply kill any one who he personally finds annoying or offensive.  No.  He needs to find someone the Immortal laws will allow him to kill and then decide if he wants to kill that person.

He vowed to not harm Elliot directly,.  But is it possible or even likely that someone adjacent to the primary cast meets Voltaire's qualifications?

Not a good thought.  I'm hoping that Edward's protection expands to Tedd's friends.

If what Voltaire said is true, immortals can only kill people who have killed others.  And for all we know, they have to kill using magic to qualify being killed by an immortal. Susan killed aberrations, and possibly Grace might qualify(though Damien self-destructed,so he probably doesn't count).

If Grace counts, then Jay might as well.  Also, given at least some immortal's feeling about aberrations, would killing one of those trigger the law?

I saw that; it was also a subtitle in Predator II, "He's in town with a few days to kill." In that case, it meant people.

Medical care is never free. Cannot be free. Who pays for it, though, varies - with varying results.

The sort of system that has produced great results in MANY fields is to have the costs, the benefits, and a large chunk of decision-making authority all land on the same person.

Naturally, hardly any government in the world permits that sort of system to be the norm in regard to medical care.

The resulting horror stories vary, in part based on the form and extent of government meddling, but every country has them.

At least in the US we don't get "this condition will kill you in six months unless we do some surgery... oh, we can schedule that surgery for eight months from now." Which sort of thing, I've heard, is not that unusual in Britain.

Instead we get insurance companies denying coverage for treatment that would alter a condition from debilitating to a nuisance.

(And a few years ago I was on a medicine that my insurance covered, with a $15 copay for a month's supply... and was also available without prescription, for $6 for a month's supply.)

I got my monthly Blue Cross statement.  The covered 100% of the two PSA tests costs.  This is a good sign that the $0 insurance payment on my hospital bill is just they haven't gotten around to paying it yet.  Of course, the cynic in me says, of course they are going to cover it, it's an old male issue, therefore is important.
