I would like to express my irritation with recent news.

I have in recent times in part due to the efforts of the GOP been accused of grooming, pedophilia and being a sexual predator for no other reason than my trans identity. The Republicans have not been the only ones doing this but they have certainly put great effort into slandering, libeling and defaming me and other trans people. J. D. Vance has obviously been at the forefront of this malicious persecution against trans people, queer people and simply drag queens in general. It is worth mentioning that many drag queens are cisheterosexual and find enjoyment in their pastime without in any way wishing to alter their identity.

Now pictures of J. D. Vance in drag have surfaced. Please note that I in no way condemn Vance merely for having worn drag. That is entirely his own affair and if he has gained enjoyment from it he is welcome to it. However, I deeply resent that this man, having worn drag himself, has nonetheless eagerly participated in the GOP's defamatory assault on not only queer and trans people but also other cisheterosexual drag queens. It is a flagrant display of utter hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy.

I am very, very tired of these ghoulish and mendacious grifters and con artists making political hay out of their lies and slanders.

Forty years ago, they were making the exact same accusations about homosexuality, including the “they’re trying to indoctrinate our kids!” panic. Apparently, that would involve fellow adults. Whatever he thinks and claims, he's in more danger than he was by facing the music, he'll get little enough sympathy, Russia is not going to keep him out of harms way, he's not a propaganda trophy with his record, and he likely won't survive to return to face trial. But if he does, this will not help his case.

I think this is a tentative Darwin Award nominee.

Given a very constrained choice between the actual Dumpster Fire and the fish plaque mocking him, I'd vote for the fish.

A. Being constrained to existence on a plaque on the wall or desk, it would do less damage.

B. If you wanted to not hear it, you could, I assume, switch it off. If that option is not available, you can still remove the batteries.

C. The Trumpy Trout, relative to trout in general is more intelligent than The Mango Tornado is compared to the average human. Granted, fish are a somewhat lower bar, but that is the point.

D. The fish has never been convicted nor even indicted. It will not tie up our court resources.

E. The fish has never been observed molesting other fish.

F. Even at $60.00, the fish will cost you less than the Orange Idiot.

G. The fish has never been observed removing classified information.

H. The fish may actually be grift-adjacent, but even so is cheaper than the ConMander in Chief' grifts, and is marginally more tasteful.
