Possible, I was just guessing because Tedd seemed to remember more about the divorce and thinking that crap hit the fan with Adrian first, then Noriko finally went through with the divorce later. I dunno. Well yeah, the Seer stuff would certainly be a priority, at least the first purpose for sure and the other ability that she didn't know about. Talking about Edward and maybe Noriko would be after. And that would be because the Steam description made it seem like Nanase was a first name, but after looking upon the great wiki, it turns out that it's the character's surname.... Maybe, or he's just tinkering with any kind of watch just because he can't sleep and needs to get his mind off of other things. This doesn't really change what kind of watch it is but it could have been the same watch he was looking at when Pandora "visited" him Sunday evening.

I can't remember where Dan said it, but I think changes in forms by default don't have any side effects like having to learn how to walk/talk and chew bubblegum each time you change forms, it's just natural, unless of course if you think about it too much.

Yeah we don't know what other spells Rhoda could have, in all honesty, with people getting spells that reflect who they are, they could get any number of different spells based on the things they do throughout their lives, so while Rhoda started out with size related spells because of her skewed perception of size, and then disguise relates spells based on her not wanting to be noticed. She might start getting her own cat related spells after being transformed a few times by Catalina. Dan also did compare her to Nanase in the spell variety department, so I wonder if Rhoda can get her own Guardian Form. One can hope, right?
  4. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

Yeah that's the comic I'm referencing, I mainly basing my thoughts on how Pandora appears to be instructing Adrian on how to cast a particular spell, comes across as a wizard needing to learn the technique that other wizards use.
  5. Things that make you go WTF

I'd be really ticked off if I spent however much money it cost to get a cat prepped for adoption, only to find out it had to be put down as part of a broad retaliation over the fact that a parent didn't follow posted rules and kept their brat away from the cages. I always hate hearing stories about animals turning vicious and biting a child because most likely they bit the child because their tail got pulled sharply or something. I've been bitten by cats and dogs numerous times, every single time it was my damn fault, I have a scar on my right forearm 5 inches long because I went up to pet a chained dog when I was 8 and it jumped up and gave me a bear hug in which one of it's claws dug in and scratched me as I pulled away, there was no animal control called for any of those cases and yet these days I hear about people calling animal control and getting the pets quarantined or worse, for less severe incidents.

Fixed that for you. Sure, Ellen can resize clothing, but needs special hand gestures to do so, Rhoda doesn't need specific gestures and she can shrink or enlarge specific parts of clothing (like sleeves). Even Dan's commentary states that Rhoda is the closest thing to being a wizard without being a wizard, Dan mentions themes for character spells, but apparently Rhoda doesn't have a theme.

Part 1 of Sister 3 is titled "Legacy" is it about Pandora. so Legacy of Pandora.
  8. Story, Friday June 23, 2017

Thanks to Steam now hosting Crunchyroll anime, I learned that Nanase is a gender neutral name as well.
  9. Story, Friday June 23, 2017

Exactly. And personally I would suspect Tedd is NOT aware. Although ... wait. Tedd doesn't like to think about his mother. Maybe he is repressing some memories but when Pandora mentions it he will remember. Wait again. Tedd is named Tedd Drew Verres ... does it mean "Drew" was Adrian's idea? Tedd is aware of Adrian being an Elf, but considering he never said anything about Adrian being his godfather definitely suggests that Tedd was very young when crap hit the fan between Edward, Noriko and Adrian, and so doesn't remember Adrian being close to the family at all. Maybe Edward stopped talking to Adrian before Noriko left? I dunno. I do wonder if Pandora will mention Tedd's mother, not sure for what purpose though maybe Pandora has some more insight into what went down back then and Noriko comes out not being as bad as we thought? I also hope she encourages Tedd to talk to his dad about the genderfluid stuff, I dunno if she's noticed the rift growing between them but I can imagine if she does, she wouldn't want Edward and Tedd to turn out like her and Adrian did. As for Drew? I'm not sure if it was Adrian's idea or Noriko's, if it was Noriko's idea, then Tedd's reaction to it could be seen as similar to how Susan treats Tiffany. Though considering that was just a one time thing for Tedd and Grace has called Tedd by his full name before suggest that he was more likely just embarrassed by the name Drew for superficial reasons.
  10. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

Uryuoms's power comes from within, which suggests that they can generate their own power like mammals generate body heat. For Humans it's a bit different, I think they absorb magic energy from their surroundings and store it within themselves, in the case of Nanase's period of being burnt out, she was still getting energy, but she couldn't cast spells so it made her hair grow, I imagine the rate at which her hair grew was influenced by the higher ambient energy in Moperville and if she were elsewhere, she might not have had such fast growing hair. Elliot and Ellen's energy buildups were harder to deal with because of it as well so it would suggest that their improper awakenings caused them to absorb energy faster than normal and because it wouldn't stop, it forced them to cast spells to expend the energy, and according to Ellen, leaving the high energy area helped to get her buildups to stop, less energy to absorb so it allowed her absorption rate to calm down as it was no longer surrounded high concentrations of energy. It is possible for Grace, and presumably all Seyunolus to learn Earth Magic, Greater Chimeras would need to first suppress their Uryuom power in order to be able to draw on Earth Magic energy which would take a good deal of hard work and concentration, but not impossible, Noah would likely have had to do this. Lesser Chimeras probably have it easier since lack of Uryuom characteristics would mean lack of Uryuom power that would need to be suppressed. It was just a guess base of Dan's description that the Will on the other half prefers magic to be open to everyone, if that's the case why would it need to reset? I'm not sure about Dolphins, but it would depend on how they gained the ability to use it I guess. In term of Aberrations and Werewolves, it was Human magic that made them that way so yeah, they would be affected, Aberrations lossing the ability to use the magic the sustains them will probably, according to Edward, kill them. It probably wouldn't be instant, but more like starving them to death because they no longer can absorb the life energy from their prey. As for Werewolves, if they weren't completely wiped out, they may have been more lucky since it's a transformation that's trigger by the time of day, it would probably end up like how Tedd was expecting it when he was trying to decide which gender to be stuck as if magic changed. Of course it that's the case, unless all Werewolves are on the side of the world that was daytime (and thus in their human forms) when magic changed, some may end up being stuck in wolf forms. Merfolks would likely also depend on where they originated, if they used to be Human who magically altered their forms to live underwater, then they would be affected, It wouldn't change them back to being human so it's not like they'd all suddenly drown, but if they relied heavily on magic for their daily activities, then they'd probably end up scrambling to figure out the new system or resort to more conventional methods. According to the Legacy of Pandora, she trained Adrian much like Wizards would train, whether he had an awakening or was merely awakened by default of being half immortal is something we can only speculate unless Dan's planning on telling us more about the nature of Human relationship to Fairies. Who knows, maybe because Adrian's an Elf, a magic change would only briefly affect him and he'd be able quickly learn the new system. Maybe Tedd's special purpose is somewhat similar to how Immortals interact with Magic, according to Pandora's memoirs, she felt the change, but she couldn't pin down what it was exactly, so I don't think they lost their abilities, or maybe Immortals are so ingrained with Magic that they instantly adapted to it. Makes me think that Tedd's "rarity" is such that his parents had the right mix of ancestry that it unlocked those latent Immortal traits that allowed them to survive through magic changes. The fact that Tedd's magic potential doesn't register on the wand would also be due to those Immortal traits since Immortals can't be detected by conventional magic detection methods. Does this mean Tedd would be a new generation of Immortal? I dunno, that might be what the second purpose is related to and why it's imperative that Tedd be eligible for it and why Heka wanted to be sure that Tedd was morally good. Tedd not being morally good is something Voltaire seems to want, maybe if Tedd is a new generation of Immortal, depending on how things go in regards to the second purpose, he may be capable of shaking up the Immortal realm real bad.
  11. Story, Friday June 23, 2017

Personally, I don't think she cares if Tedd knows who she is, I don't think she'll go into details about Adrian because she told Sarah she couldn't tell anyone before she told him. So I'm certain she's going to keep the conversation mainly about Tedd. As for Edward's wards? I'm not sure, Pandora's probably powerful enough that she may have no trouble circumventing them. I mean, this isn't the first time she's been in the house, and we didn't hear any alarms go off when Voltaire showed up. Then again, Adrian couldn't detect his own mother's magic when she was disguised as Wolf, so maybe the wards only function by detecting magic, and thus can't detect Immortals at all.
  12. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

See, Vorlonagent is thinking similarly to what I'm thinking. Magic as a whole is the same for most species, same set of spells, same energy. Uryuoms being obvious exclusions due to the fact that they generate their own energy and they don't work in terms of casting spells but physical manipulation and telekinesis. For the Griffins, do they learn spells the same way Humans do? Do they awaken the same ways, including the possibility of improper awakenings and dealing with the side effects associated with them? What about other residents of their half of the world? Chances are they probably don't because their half of the world would likely be running on a magic system that has probably never changed since Magic began, whereas Magic on the main half as changed at least once, but likely more than once. So if the system on one half of the world is different from another half, and it was the core of the system that did the changing, then one would think that anyone coming over from the other half might suddenly loose the ability to use magic because they've entered an incompatible magic zone. But since the Griffins could still use magic in the main half, it seems plausible that the system change isn't a core change but a change that specifically targets how Humans interacts with it.
  13. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

While this doesn't answer the question of whether or not it'll only be Humans that are affected, the Word of Dan did say the other half was safe: So, that implies that either the WoM only cares about magic being used by few on one half, or each half has it's own WoM. Wild theory here. What if the creation of the Dewitchery Diamond caused the world to split? They would technically be duplicates, but because of physics and all that, they ended up being on separate planes of existance so that they could continue to share the same physical space. In the case of the WoM, we can probably use Elliot and Ellen as an example and say that the WoM on the main half doesn't want to be the center of attention, but on the other half, the WoM is more impulsive and "look at me!!", They wouldn't be exactly like Elliot and Ellen of course, but if one Will decided it needed to differentiated itself from the other Will...
  14. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

Maybe the WoM only worries about Humans, other creatures can have their magic, they have no problems with keeping it secret, but Humans are the ones who don't know how to keep it to themselves. In all seriousness though what Disco Wizard describes about "species with magic interwoven into their very nature" might apply to more than just Uryuoms, Griffins could also be such species. But the other thing about Disco Wizard's speech is he specifically talks about magic changing for only Humans. So I wouldn't be surprised if the WoM can just single out Humans as the only thing affect by a change. I don't think Magic as a whole will change, the only thing that will change is how Humans can interact with it.
  15. What Are You Listening To?

The goose was completely unscripted, they apparently tried a couple times to shoo it away but it wouldn't leave. " During the video, a singular goose is frequently seen wandering near the band, unperturbed by their performance. The goose is known to park regulars as Maria, though the band and production crew dubbed it "Orange Bill."The goose was initially territorial towards the band during the initial practice a few days before the full shoot, but eventually came to "adopt" the band, and stayed with the four during much of the video."

    Nope, passed away in 2007
  17. What Are You Listening To?

Yeah, OKGO has done some amazing work. It's crazy because a lot of their videos seem to be done in one take so to get everything to flow just right is just insane. Also the scale of some of their work is mind boggling too.
  18. Things that make you go WTF

Here's some interesting Canadian WTFery: https://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/articles/yukons-famed-sour-toe-stolen-with-80000/83402/ First off, why would that story be on The Weather Network? Second, why would anyone steal something like that? And third, why would anyone drink something that has something like that in it?
  19. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

I'm stll not convinced they're jerks. Wait a moment...The claimed that they were in France because they were following someone, they couldn't remember if it was Susan or Nanase, but what if they had found out the truth about Susan's heritage. Maybe their untimely resets were to prevent that knowledge from getting to others? It could also be the reason they chose to mark her and awaken Nanase, because they felt that they would need to be able to defend themselves later. The fact that they seem to be easily distracted by vampires might be more to do with what they had learned before they were forced to reset, they might not remember exactly why, but they feel that there shouldn't be as many vampires in Moperville as there have been, and they probably can't expect Arthur to have the paranormal division do much about it, Edward probably can't guarantee any action would be taken either, he said he would tell them, but unless he was referring to a separate group that specializes in vampire/monster hunting that's not in the FBI, I'm not sure I could trust Arthur to do anything Adrian also assumed Grace would tell Ellen, of course Grace did tell Ellen, but Adrian expected it despite telling Grace to not tell anyone.

Nanase wasn't really deafened, but the sound waves were such that they threw off her center of balance and caused her to lose consciousness.
  21. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

Yeah, Edward had an opportunity to ask Adrian if he knows what his mother is up to when Adrian called him asking for help with the boar. It's probably the best evidence that Edward either doesn't connect the creepy girl in the woods and on TV with Pandora, or Adrian's never introduced him to her. It's possible they had found out about Pandora. But were unfortunately forced to reset before they could report back to Edward. She was, until Adrian found out she was dating Tedd and insisted she tell him. It's possible that after the fact, it didn't matter anymore, Adrian knew that his true identity was known by more than one student, Grace never said who exactly, but I imagine Adrian could guess later on that Ellen and Nanase would likely know.
  22. NP Monday June 19, 2017

Her explanation can also be interpreted that she didn't cause him to arrive either, but she noticed his arrival and moved in to investigate.
  23. Story, Wednesday June 21, 2017

Well, Sarah did actual say "Is she Raven's mother?" rather than "She is Raven's mother!" so yeah she's guessing based on what she knows, she only knows about Adrian being an elf, there may be other elves in the world, but Adrian's in Moperville, Box is in Moperville, and Box is responsible for the ambient energy and magic marks in Moperville. That would be enough to make anyone wonder if they're related. Edward knows Adrian as well and he might have been introduced to Pandora as Adrian's mother, but he might not realize that the child that appeared in the woods and on TV is her. I would suspect that if Edward did know that it was Adrian's mother causing problems in Moperville, he'd be on Adrian's case to get her to stop. This just occurred to me, If Grace has told Sarah about her experience with Adrian and the boar, being under an illusion that made her look a lot like Susan, and being told that Elves can't have children. Sarah is in a position to guess what Box was talking about, the lie she passed on, the "of course they were his!" line. Though Sarah might jump to the conclusion that Adrian is Susan's dad which might not be too far from the truth (more likely grandfather or maybe great grandfather) but Sarah doesn't know enough in this case to be as accurate.
  24. NP Monday June 19, 2017

I still don't believe that Magus knows that Sirleck's targeted Adrian for the vampire attack, Voltaire's the one pulling the strings in that regard, the whole thing may end up making things even worse for Magus.
  25. NP Monday June 19, 2017

Yeah, I know, but he can't do anything to her in his current predicament, he may initially question if Pandora has other motives, but Pandora would have the ability to prove what she says is true. She needs an olive branch.
